How nice!! I just got 6 jersey giant chicks. I'm hoping they will be real pets My other hens were just culls from someone's flock and not friendly at all. Do you know how much your rooster weighs?

A rooster can weigh between 12 to 14 pounds.

My Jersey Giant rooster is only 7 months old and weighs around 8 pounds already and stands roughly 20 inches tall.

My Jersey Giants are very friendly and are docile.

I used to have a Jersey Giant Rooster, his name was Black Bart.

Very gentle and tame.

Very hard to find them I would like another.

Meyer Hatchery has them.

I ordered 12 of them from Meyer's straight run about 7 months ago.

It appears that I have got 4 roosters and 8 hens!

They are doing pretty good!

I lost one of them(don't know why).

You'll want to get some very soon, because they run out of chickens pretty quickly.

Also, they take about 6-7 months before the hens start laying(natural light only), and 12-15 months before they really start getting big!

A rooster can get as big as 13-14 pounds:)
