1. If you don't like English so much, why the Hell are you watching this?

2. We all know that English has an extremely large number of faults, but, since it is taking over along with Mandarin, you should probably learn to deal with it.

lol, english is my main language, and trust me we hardly ever say "rainy", or "rainier"..i'd just say "wet". Dont wanna confuse you though :P

like umm:

"It'll be really wet this week."

not "it'll be rainy this week."

i guess it's a word but not one that's normally used..

it's so hard to learn a different language, my main language is spanish and I have 2 years in canada and I'm too disappointment cause I think it's steel poor, I try to practice every time, but the problem is that I have around to me many people from my same country and we speak our language at coffee break, inside of the plant, at home and even at the bank, what can I do? help me please, if you found some mistake in this comment please let me know.

yeah it's hard, i'm learning french, and i'm learning it online, but it's working out alright. You did make a few mistakes, i'll point them out for you.

"cause i think it's still poor" not "steel poor".

"problem is that i have too many people from my same country around me" not "that i have around to me many people"

english is my main language also and but i come from a country where it rains frequently, the word 'rainy' is used alot and so is 'wet' for e.x:

1a) its going to be a rainy day or 1b) its going to be a wet day 2a) its going to be a rainy week or

2b) its going to be a wet week 3a) its quite rainy today or 3b) its really wet today

one thing we DO use rainy with, here, is

"it's rainy weather"

other then that, i cannot think of any others circumstances we'd use the word rainy.

it just flows better when you say "wet"

it does rain here alot too, had about a thousand mil in the last month, which is a large amount for most countries but not all.

although, being australian we do say alot of other things too, like

it's pissing down rain today

it's bucketing down.

which i dont think any other countries say.

Rainier is not a word in English. However Americans speak a bastardised version of English which includes many "made up" words.

For example the word "misperception" is not a word at all. They are labouring under the misCONception that this is a word. However you will find this non-word in many American online dictationaries.

It is very confusing if like me you are a European trying to learn correct English.

We have alot of words with different meanings and the same sounds

eg. "i have a pair of pears"

or "the bandage was wound around the wound"

"Since there is no time like the present, he thought it was time to present the present."

Also, students learning english have a hard time with the she's, he's and it's. They have to learn to put an "s" after them, like..

She eatS bacon and eggs every morning.

alot of other languages just say something like

he eat

not he eats

Yes it's pronounced the same in both British and American English, it's just the name of the city, it's Spanish actually, "Los Angeles" mean "the Angles" in English.
