Well I'm not a dancer, but I do enjoy dance. I don't judge a dance on it's technicality but how it made me feel or how the dancer feels when dancing it. I personally loved this, but everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

Just because a dancer isn't doing 10 million fouettes or Chaine Jete's in a menege doesn't mean they aren't using technique or that a piece isn't difficult. If you really know where to look, there is technique and difficulty throughout this entire dance, it's just not your everyday use. And that's why I love Tessie's choreography.

there is technique displayed throughout the routine... from the pointing of toes to pirouettes, fouettes, extentions, attitudes, passes, arabesques, and her phenomenal musicality - this is all technique found within this dance. if a dancer has technique, it will show in their dancing no matter what.
