@lizazoon How do you know since you have not died yet to come back and tell us what happens after we die. Jesus, who died on the cross and was raised from the dead on the 3rd day, has seen God and has testified that Heaven and Hell are real. We do not cease to exist when we die and there is an after life.

The Bible states that Hell was originally created for the Devil and his demons but most of mankind will also be going there because they have sinned against God. But God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to go and die on a cross to pay the penalty for the sins of the world so that any one who believes in him will be forgiven of their sins and will be saved.
Every person has sinned against God, so every person needs to have their sins be forgiven by God, which only his Son Jesus Christ can do because he took the penalty for sin by dying on the cross.

God loves you and does not wish you an eternity of hell and pain. God will not force us to do anything and he allows us to not follow or follow him.
As forgiving as God is, he hates sin and is holy. Sin separates man from holy God and the Bible states that the penalty for it is death and hell. God will punish sin but he offers forgiveness through his Son, Jesus Christ, who suffered for our sins.
A. He could send everyone to Heaven but then the wicked would get away with sin. Think about how many evil people there are in the world. One can do the most evil things on this earth and then kill himself to escape penalty and go to Heaven forever. God would not allow this to happen.
B:God can send every person to hell justly because everyone has sinned against him. Although God hates sin, he chose C: because he loves man.
C:God sent his Son into the world to suffer and pay the penalty for sin so that man would be saved from hell. Only Jesus can forgive our sins and save us from hell because only he has the authority which was given from God.

I do believe that is why it's called faith. In John 20:24 - 20:31 Thomas wouldn't believe his fellow disciple's claim that Jesus had visited them after His resurrection since he wasn't there when it happened. He only believed after he was able to place his finger in the place where the nails once were and his hand on Jesus' side.

I do not have the answers to these questions nor will I ever know why God does and does not do certain things. Friend, you have to understand something. God is your Creator. He created you and put you on earth for his purpose.

I believe what the book of Genesis says about how God created the Universe. If the Bible states that the creation of the earth preceded that of the sun, then that is what I believe because no matter how intelligent scientists may be, they were not there in the beginning but God alone.
But man wrote the book, how are they supposed to know what happened? What happens if it was god's twin bill, but bill was asleep when god was talking to man? Why doesn't the possibility of man making up the story to comprehend the formation of the world because they didn't understand it? Isn't that a likely rational?

The universe... well that's a tough one. The most likely candidate is the 'big bang'. Modern physicist have come a long way in the past 100 years. Einstein's theories on relativity have opened new doors of thinking. However we also have the controversial string theory. These are just names, attached to a very old problem. However, they are the best answers we have, for now. Theories change, but religion does not. Scientists debate, proving each other wrong.

Jesus, who died on the cross and was raised from the dead on the 3rd day, has seen God and has testified that Heaven and Hell are real. God loves you and does not wish you an eternity of hell and pain. God will not force us to do anything and he allows us to not follow or follow him.
As forgiving as God is, he hates sin and is holy. Sin separates man from holy God and the Bible states that the penalty for it is death and hell. God will punish sin but he offers forgiveness through his Son, Jesus Christ, who suffered for our sins.

I do believe that is why it's called faith. In John 20:24 - 20:31 Thomas wouldn't believe his fellow disciple's claim that Jesus had visited them after His resurrection since he wasn't there when it happened. He only believed after he was able to place his finger in the place where the nails once were and his hand on Jesus' side.

Why are you questioning Almighty God? When you are asking me these questions you are not questioning me but God himself. God's ways are higher than man's way and no one will fully understand why God does or allow certain things in our lives.

Why do you not like asking questions? I am asking you as a human being these questions. Man's purpose is to define the universe based on the evidence we gather to best of our ability. Man's best tool in this is the "scientific method".
I do know; man is overcoming the badness in the world ( created or not - polio, cancer, detached retinas). If god did indeed 'create' us, he didn't do a very good job. I guess he was busy adjusting the constants of the universe.

Mysterious ways... ok you lost that one. My point is that cancers can go into remission, so "god cured it" or people die, and "it was their time". The point is, people can't see the cancer cells, but limbs are very noticeable so "god works in mysterious ways".

Do not quote a 2000 year old textbook: the earth is not flat, in the centre of our solar system, nor does it have an extended solid surface or flat expanse, considered to be a hemisphere above the ground. The book says not to go looking because you will not find evidence. How convenient.... what gives the bible it's credentials other than men saying it is the word of god? It's just a cop out, instead of trying to understand how they came about, we just use god to fill the blanks and halt all progression. We are keeping ourselves at bay, tied in tradition, so we do not attempt to move forward. If you had your way, we'd still think we were in the centre of the universe!

I believe what the book of Genesis says about how God created the Universe. If the Bible states that the creation of the earth preceded that of the sun, then that is what I believe because no matter how intelligent scientists may be, they were not there in the beginning but God alone.

The universe... well that's a tough one. The most likely candidate is the 'big bang'. Modern physicist have come a long way in the past 100 years. Einstein's theories on relativity have opened new doors of thinking. However we also have the controversial string theory. These are just names, attached to a very old problem. However, they are the best answers we have, for now. Theories change, but religion does not. Scientists debate, proving each other wrong.

In this life I am walking by faith, not by sight, which goes beyond intellect. I can not prove faith to you because it is something that comes from your heart. I can not see God but I have faith that he exists. I have not died to tell you what happens after death but Jesus rose from the dead. He is the only person who rose from the dead and I believe in him. This requires faith and is something that I can not prove to you.
By faith I believe the "King James" Bible is the Word of God.

I'm not a Bible scholar but I know 2,000 years ago Jesus paid the penalty for sins by dying on the cross.
He is the only person who has the authority to forgive sins. The Bible is the living Word of God and states that everyone has sinned against God.
