@kendryna2 Those are called Electric Blue Gecko. Back when I made this movie, they were a pretty new species on the market, even though they were discovered in the 1950s but now I think they are a few years old (going for about $40 bucks). Their scientific name is Lygodactylus williamsi.
lovelllllyyyyyy video! I thought the building looked familiar, and wondered if this was from the Atlanta one in Jan, I just got back from the Atlanta show today with four Dendropsophus ebraccatus
were there any albino ball pythons and do you remember what they were goin for. how bout normals. thanks and if you dont remember do you know what they normall go for.
they are called neon blue "day" geckos and I put day in quotes because I do not think that they are actually day geckos. I think the scientific name is leigotactilous williamsi (that is NOT how you spell it, I just wanted to see if I could remember it :)). They are pretty neat little guys, they came on the market relatively recently. I think they were first shown at the Orlando expo in 2008. They are now about 40 bucks.
thats pretty cool, they r sooo cute! i would say i wont 1, but since u said they fairly new in the market i would assume that not verry many ppl no much about them :\
Don't be discouraged! They have been on the market for roughly two years now, and judging by how the prices dropped around 35 bucks since their original arrival, I would say that demand is pretty high, thus people know about them. Besides you can always ask the breeders.
hardly . . . either the prices are very reasonable, or they are way cheaper than you would find anywhere else, other than another reptile expo. But it certainly varies.
How did you use that song? every time that I try to use music for my videos i get a rejection notice when i'm trying to post saying that i'm " committing copyright infringement"...
I am not quite sure, but I think it has to do with the strictness of the label group. For instance, this is a Springsteen song (duh) and his group is Columbia I think. I think that that label company is a little more easy going. However, if you use a song by Warner Music Group, they will take it off in absolutely no time at all. That happened to me a few times. No big deal though. Try using songs that aren't as popular but still good. You will probably just have a pop up on you video. Thanks btw
yeh they have normal size bins or containers or tanks (whatever). If you can be sure about anybody taking good care of these animals, you can be sure about their breeders. Not only is it there livelyhood, but they really care for their animals
where was this at,and is this like legal to sell this type of snakes cause you dont normally see this kinda snakes in any store if you know wat i mean.
This was at the Gwinett County Fair Grounds in Atlanta, GA. And yes this is completely legal. The only reason why you don't see these snakes in stores is because stores are really there for the (overpriced) supplies for your pets, not actually selling them. So pet stores will have the basic reptiles and birds like baby leopard geckos, some ball pythons, MAYBE a boa, and maybe a sun conure along with budgies. So unless you go to a really neat store, there won't be all of these cool mutations.
i really reallly really really wanna go to a reptile expo but i cant find any....do you know of any happening in washington state or idaho????? please reply
yes and i wnt to it the leos were about 25-30$ and tangerines(they hadevry morph lol pretty much) were bout60-80$..... if u go to the january one and u didnt go to the august one this week i recommend lisas leos
awesome! i didnt bring a camera. i didnt see yall but i was there until like 2pm on saturday, nice shots of the copperhead, did you guys see the indigo snake at the booth with the venomous?
