  • All I can say is thankyou I'm an O and my whole life I've had problems with anxiety and depression .. It makes so much sense when I eat red meat and greens I feel just what you said calm ,, also more energy less aches wow !!!! I will never go back to my old ways ..

  • Many of the beneficial foods you talk about are foods that I naturally crave. Do you thing there is a correlation between ones food preference and what your body needs nutritionally?

    I train 5 days a week and been having around 12 egg whites through out the day.

    Are egg whites ok? for O blood type

  • I have combined the ideas from paleo and blood type o diet. Feeling so much better. I eat my meat alone. (I eat my veggies and fruits before and after giving plenty of time for digestion of meat to be on way to intestine). I only use a little brown rice syrup during workout and experiencing amazing energy and vitality. Eating meat alone allows it to digest best. Hunter gatherer is the way to go for O blood type. Meat on the bone!

  • @ stevebeisheim.........iam also an o+..........i been trying all these different foods related to blood o type.......it does make a difference.....we(o+).....are natural born athletes........most black ppl athletes are o+........do u know if sprouted grain bread and lentils are fine with o+........

  • @300khalsa Hey there, If you go to stevebeisheim *com you can download the entire list of foods for blood type 0... Lentils are an avoid, but 100%sprouted wheat bread is ok cause it destroys the harmful lectin... In addition, I would try gluten free bread from whole foods or trader joes or your local health food shop....

  • I got a few questions. First, I heard that Soy products are bad for men as it can reduce testosterone level or something? which is vital for muscle growth or something? I could be wrong...

    And I workout so is it good to take whey protein? Whey has diary ingredients in it?

    Aromatase is an enzyme that converts Testosterone into Estrogen... This generally happens as aging occurs and certain cancers in men are related such as Prostate Cancer. This is associated with what is called "Male Menopause." Many Aromatase inhibiting drugs treat related cancers in both men and women.. Soy, for Blood Type A's inhibit this conversion (as do expensive pharmaceuticals) and thus do not increase Estrogen in men, but preserve existing testosterone...

  • Whey Protein is generally not ideal. If you're Blood Type 0 you need to eat red meat to build muscle.. Red Meat is incredibly Anabolic for Type 0.. The whole bodybuilding supplement industry is way over-hyped and their formulas are almost always crap.. Stick with whole foods... Whey is from dairy, which is to be avoided by Blood Type 0's.. Depending on your genotype (blood type and body type) Whey could be helpful, for type A, B, or AB..

  • These vids are so helpful. I have been eating high animal protein/salads/asparagus/brocc­olli and some fruits for about 2 months and feel MUCH better.

    I notice that all the foods I LOVE (crave?) are the ones I am sensitive to! I have yet to wean myself off of cheese -- but am now using SOME bleu cheese as a seasoning instead of LOTS of cheddar melted on wheat!

    I will wait to see if you mention how the foods we CRAVE are the ones we shouldn't have! How about dark chocolate...???

  • This should be exactly at a 1/7 ratio of carbs to meat. Some ways to do this and stay on the type O diet is brown rice pasta with ground lean organic grass fed beef or watermelon with lean, salt free organic turkey. Use your imagination. Have it at dinner time no later than 8pm to allow the digestion process to take place and the process to happen by 10-11pm bedtime. I can now be on the type O diet and sleep like a baby!!! This will help you sleep through the night while on type O Diet.

  • All this high protein eating is starving the brain from serotonin. The blood brain barrier blocks the tryptophan from meats from entering the brain where it is converted to serotonin. One way around this is to have some form of moderate to high glycemic index carb at dinner time paired with a lean organic meat like beef or turkey. This allows the tryptophan to hitch a ride with insulin in the blood to cross the blood brain barrier where it is converted to serotonin. continued.......

  • I'd have to say that the Genotype Diet might hold some of the solutions. Being Rhesus negative may have a bit to do with it ... Are you sensitive to chemicals and caffeine? . Most likely you are an "explorer." which tends to mean that you have difficulty getting rid of chemicals..... is this true at all? If it is meats that would work would be Turkey, Lamb and Goat...

  • I agree about being dairy and grain free , but as a type o- why do I feel so much better on a vegan diet ? I was already off of dairy and wheat . When I quit eating meat , my battle with depression ended , my energy increased , the circles under my eyes went away , and my allergies disappeared , all within 3 weeks !! I also started eating avacado daily which the blood type book says don't eat . I feel better on a juice fast than a diet that includes any meat whatsoever .

  • i've found feta cheese from goats milk is v.digestable as an alternative...

    Dont eat much fruit as an O+, with only prunes and black cherries being the only beneficial ones.. ! They say fruit with carbs should not be mixed as the fruit ferments and also needs a different enzyme to digest it, but i dont seem to have a major problem with a salad with some fruit in it..

  • I'm 0 and went gluten/diary free for 2 months - I felt great ! I have DH (celiac disease) but  still have diary 'cause it tastes so great but I have and will cut back further.

  • Should I avoid ALL dairy products? Even goats yoghurt and cheese? Most of the vegetables and fruits you mentioned (like broccoli, spinage, mango, papaya have always been one of my favourites and I notice how beneficial they are for me!)

    and should i also avoid cacau and nuts? are beans beneficial? stop eating pizza? eat eggs?

  • Well, I'd stop eating pizza.. its a huge nono... you can make an alternative gluten free pizza if you want.. but wheat is wheat is wheat....

    Butter, Ghee, Parmesian topping are all fine... but pungent processed cheeses like cheddar are to be avoided

    Walnuts and Pumpkin Seeds are great, almonds, pecans, macademias, filberts are fine... I'd advise eating them raw and not roasted because you get more nutrients that way and though its less stimulating, you're building nutrition and well being.

  • I think I've waited my whole life to hear this.

    in my diet I have been eating a lot of bread, cereals, a lot of dairy foods, and a looot of pasta. basically no meat at all becasue I've been vegetarian. i've always been soo incredibly stressed and depressed and having weight issues. But now I decided to eat a lot of fish, and especially raw like sushi. I'm also going to avoid all grains and stop eating pasta, bread, cereals..

  • Thank you very much...I'm Blood Type O I'm going to give this a try......i've tried everything else and nothing seems to work, always tired ect....i'll let you know how it goes!!
