Irrelevant. That is SEGA's fault for putting the sequel for such a great game on the blasted PSP, which means that they are forced to leave out certain things that made the original game epic, like the CANVAS graphics. Ergo - Sequel = not as epic as original.
While I agree that this should have been on the PS3, and that the CANVAS engine is excellent, I can't help but feel that I'll like playing this game outside my house. After all, you can't carry a PS3 almost everywhere.
What I care about in this case is that the gameplay remains at least at the level of the original, and for what I've seen, it does. With the addition of tweaks like changing classes, which is a welcome addition, this title could prove more than entertaining.
Hmm... Still misses out on one of the main selling points of the epic original, the CANVAS engine and graphics.

Not really. The graphics of VC, being like a watercolour in motion, were what made the game unique in that respect.
To give VC graphics anything other than CANVAS would be taking away one of the core facets of the VC franchise, making VC what it is.
