  • Out-fucking-standing!!!! Thanks for posting this.

  • Jerry and Layne, they were brother the voice and the sound of the guitar are so complementary, the bassist and the drummer play like it was the first time, what a respect i have for them, incredible band for ever, the best and the solo album of Jerry are so fantastic too!!

  • What are you people talking about he is LAYNE he can look anyway he wants. Man rules COOL!

  • The only who can save yourself is you, anyone else.

  • @bettinahomme Indeed! No one can do you in, before you do yourself!

  • well exchange numbers...

  • breaks my heart,man...

  • who is introducing them?

  • @strongshysilent actor max perlich

  • hey look. it's mason lebeau. 6tH place in sectionals. we're doin' it layne. you should see the back of my teeth. back from the grave layne. laybe?

  • see kids... good role model...

  • i wish i was old enough to go to his concerts before he died.god fuck it all! xD

  • 1:14 haha the girl in the crowd lookin at jerry's dick.

  • @1Sifting PERVERT.

  • This is sad to watch, i love AIC and layne but comparing him here to the seatlle show in 1991 (moore theatre) is tragic. He's a shadow here....RIP Layne

  • @nick0is0ace absolutely a shadow of his former self, you are absolutely right....

  • @nick0is0ace I hear ya! You gotta think though, his x-fiancee is sick at this point with heart problems ("Your weak will won't help her heal her heart"), then passed away 5 months later... I can relate to the pain he was feeling. I was engaged to my soul mate(we were together for 7 years total), then he and I broke up, after heroin drove us apart. About 8 months later, he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma(bone cancer). He passed away almost 2 years ago.

  • @nick0is0ace I have learned so much from Layne! There's been sooo many times that I could and still can only cope by listening to his music. It's a comfort to feel his soul released through his voice, because I feel like I don't ever have to suffer through any of this alone! He spoke about how a lot of his music is stuff that he knows and feels. And that he hopes that others can relate to it and find help in it.

  • @nick0is0ace I battled a heroin addiction for 11 years, but as of yesterday, I've been clean for 1 year and 1 month, because of the strength that Layne has blessed me with by offering the gift of his music to all of us!

  • @c222grgn111 hang in there im a recovering addict myself

  • @WhoIsJohnLewis same here bro, heroin addict for 2 years

  • @c222grgn111 Rock on Brother. Addiction is a Mother Fucker but it can be beat. You gotta want it. We must first be willing and have that desire to stop. I'll have 7yrs 2/17/12 \m/

  • @The147350 Congrats on your anniversary man!!!

  • @c222grgn111 Greatly appreciated man!!! Rock on & Stay Metal \m/

  • Filmed 6 years to the day that Laynes dead body was found.

    R.I.P

  • i love layne staley and it breaks my heart watch him like this rip beautiful soul

  • those 2 guys in front of Jerry are FUCKING ROCKING!!

  • I LOVE this song! I really like the live versions, but the original is totally bad ass too!~

  • I realize how dubbed over Layne's voice sounds in the original studio version.

  • I wish we had crowds like this nowdays.

  • 10 people think its gay to have pink hair

  • No matter how high Lane is, he always sound fucking godlike.

  • Despite to my love to the band, it isnt very funny to watch Layne so wrecked.

  • @MoodyMarkDirty1 I agree, he is so so frail and sick. The gloves ugh. Poor man sufferering.

  • @TheStevenGallagher and again and again and again and again and again and again AND AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ TRKTKO make that 10!!!

  • I love watching the beginning of this video just to see such a great dude being ordinary. Fuck, I wanna break something every time I realize he's gone.

  • You can see the fuckin drugs have just claimed him here, his voice and passion are gone.

  • @Bumble8700 you do realize this was filmed the same year as the unplugged...watch that and tell me his voice is gone. yes the drugs had claimed him, but there was more passion and pain in his voice in these rare last clips. rock needs another layne and soon.

  • @MrCjnamfuak I do realize that and Unplugged was great but he was really was going downhill, they also did the Rolling Stone interview with Layne on the cover titled " The Needle and the Damage Done ".

  • @Bumble8700 It's sad too. That article was supposed to be about the entire band and they focused solely on Layne's addiction. But hey, what can we expect from RollingBlow magazine?

  • a joy to hear,painful to watch

  • shame because this could have been so much of a better performance if Layne didn't have a drug problem which has definitely affected his vocals/showmanship here, it's all ready a great performance though

  • Speedballs should be outlawed if only because they take away genius-level musicians from us.

  • @catshavesouls um...they are outlawed

  • @ghostwhiskey Damn. Too bad Layne didn't know that.

  • @catshavesouls Im sure he knew

  • @ghostwhiskey Well, he knows now for sure!

  • @catshavesouls Im just saying that pretty much everyone knows coke and dope are illegal. Im really confused as to why you didnt understand that that is what I meant

  • @ghostwhiskey I know. I was just being a smart ass.

  • @ghostwhiskey Oh ok,just making sure. Now I know youre not insane

  • WTF GIRL 1:12 JAJAJA

  • Sean Kinney kicks ass!!!!

  • ledgendary!

  • I listen this, again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again!!!!!!!

  • This is too painful too watch. Layne is just so weak he shouldn't have been on stage, he should have been recovering for christ's sake.

  • @Misseleveneleven If he wasn't on stage what do you really think he would have been doing?

  • @Misseleveneleven

Sometimes, I think they tried keeping him going to save him, but at some point....then the next idea was, okay let him recover.

It would be a hard call to make....what to do in such a case.

  • Great band..................

  • very interesting song

  • layne!

  • Looks like I've listened to this song 218,369 times over and over AGAIN..

  • really good band sound and song

  • 10 people are cretins and need to listen AGAIN

  • Sean's hair is badass on this song

  • it's sad yet so AIC awesome that the three of them are totally rocking out while Layne stays perfectly stationary. RIP LS.

  • @jimywho1 new alice in chains are still BADASS the old school alice in chains ARE METAL ROCK GODS THAT FUCKING RULE LOVE THERE SONGS JUST GOOD TO PLAY ALICE IN CHAINS WHEN YOUR PISSDOFF

  • @HEAVYMETALGODS86feb9 you must be preettyyy messed in the head if you though i was pissed off. i complimented the band.

  • Why do we have to lump very different great bands in a single genre???

  • 9 people are stupid people and listen to it AGAIN to understand it

  • god bless this singer r.i.p

  • 9 People need to listen AGAIN

  • @TRKTKO ...And AGAIN

  • And AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN

  • @TRKTKO its 10 now

  • @paulieeee1976 Thanks Man You Ruined It : (

  • @TRKTKO No I liked it someone else thumbed down.

    Anyway 666 likes now ;-)

  • @TRKTKO So original man!

  • @StinkyGreenBud thanks number 10, lol jk

  • @johnwaynejohnson then actual fact

  • @johnwaynejohnson that marijuana has always enhanced some of the daily activities (if your a video-gamer) or enjoy music (of any type really) and/or like to watch movies...my interest has always peaked, and been more direct when I am buzzed, not ripped out of my skull, and I dont smoke all the time, nor daily...but its always...always always been a tool to take enjoyment up another notch...no one can tell me otherwise...cause thats just a personal thing..now were getting down to "opinions"

  • @johnwaynejohnson thats just going alittle too far...in some circles, some music scenes, its entirely a social tool, (pot) again - is merely an item that comes along with the music for some musicians (again billions of people on the earth, for those that know how to handle it, without excess, and again were talking about tree, not hard stuff) it may not "induce" creativity but it doesnt hinder it either...Ive known since highschool to now (nearly 13-14 years) and I' have always remained concrete

  • @johnwaynejohnson getting on stage...lol (rolls eyes) ok...if you say so lol - I guess for a period of nearly a decade you drank, had no sleep - got up performed and told interviewers that you never took drugs prior to being on stage (while it is true, hes horrendous looking nowadays, but thats also age + abuse) though I have no clue what time he finally got clean and while your right mainly about hard drugs dont usually make artists creative...I would say that for all drugs..for certain artist

  • @johnwaynejohnson others have stated in the past (were also talking different time periods, and different chemicals, and different people) have been under the influence of 1 thing or another, and put on fantastic performances...you and I both know (at the very least) that is true - if the comment about zeppelin is true then he must of been very tired througout the 70s during live performances...one junkie from another can look and see (and then he claims oh ive only had a few drinks prior to

  • @johnwaynejohnson which then (as like a light at the end of the tunnel) sort of situation..and that in effect is how some musicians play...buddy guy...and the pletheroa of others...but my other point is...how does anyone know what cantrell and kinney and inez do backstage, especially when in the past they have over the years enjoyed marijuana use...they can say 1 thing, and do the other...I dont know about Mick Jagger and Keith Richards but its fairly obvious the dead, floyd, hendrix, cream, and

  • @johnwaynejohnson of the times it has clearly shown (not just 1 small study, just universally that the intake of it helps one focus better on sounds, clarity in the mind (as one scientist explained better in english terms..."its like your brain enters a 1-lane highway, at slower speeds, your long-term memory is affected, but the short-term, and whats infront of you is often enhanced by the chemical intake (not heroin, or cocaine) as I'm clearly only talking about the green smelly stuff -

  • @johnwaynejohnson shown (new evidence) of marijuana intake=being directly linked to activating certain areas of the brain that are central to focus, inhibiation (as far as concentration on what the task currently is (IE someone painting, or drawing) or a band experimenting (IE again the grateful dead, the inspiration of many of pink floyds early material (with and/without syd barrett) that isnt deniable - and again not every musician is affected the same ...but as like I said with pot, alot

  • @johnwaynejohnson improvistionals (are directly linked to marijuana use) whether you want to admit it or not (that may not be your cup of tea esp when were goin from AIC to jam-bands to reggae artists like King Tubby, The Wailers, Bob Marley, Return of the Supa Ape, I mean Jesus Christ the entire life of Lee "Scratch" Perry was based on his love of cannabis, reggae music, dub, being introspective, echo/dub, and his fondness of it. He's 1 of thousands of artists (and scientific research has

  • @johnwaynejohnson quite often do that. King Tubby, Miles Davis, Hell even BB king for 30+ years (hes not an alcoholic, or heroni addict by any means) but look at his interviews in the 60s and 70s, quite controversial Johnny Cash (although his problem with pills/speed often tore him down) I only agree so much with that comment amount drugs/chemicals not making those creative...um bonnaroo ? jam-bands what do you think that entire "culture" is based on ? counter-culture in music? extended

  • @johnwaynejohnson backup vocals...so while hes a driving force behind the band, its not a 1-man band (half the reggae artists, blues artists, of the last half century) have reported time and time again marijuana easily helps tune the mind in (and from friend musicians, its true) very true indeed that while not going "excessive" and being able to play live while under the influence on something as small as marijuana will not hinder onces performance (especially in certain music-paths where they

  • @johnwaynejohnson the whole point to the "acid" tests was just as your arguing about...and um ? oh cantrell (as said before) is an active pot smoker now what ? 25+ years (dave grohl too ? ) members of weezer ? (members of pearl jam, who have quit heroin Mike McCready in the mid 90s) during the Mad Season years w/ staley - cantrell has written 70% of the entire song catalog, he does not do bass rhythms, percussion/drums - from 88>99 he wrote nearly 3/4 of the catalog but did no artwork, and did

  • @johnwaynejohnson from jamie jasta of hatebreed, to bob marley, to paige mcconnell of phish, to trey anastasio, to (etc, etc, etc) user marijuana on the regular, and see much inspiration (not IN the drug) but the fact that while buzzed, use the singular-track mind to enhance the audio (distortion or not) IE look up - King Tubby, IE Metallicas early recordings, or going back to reggae - (or dub, dub-set) (system of a down, use it quite often) grateful dead ?" lol you have to be kidding

  • @johnwaynejohnson hell look at the entire reggae dub scene (from the early 60s, ska in germany, to jamaica) to now (even if thats not your cup of tea) studies have shown (and this is irrefutable, non-arguable) that while some drugs (obviously heroin as we have talked extensively about it at this point) but marijuana creates=single track mind (which is why many focus better on the task infront of them) not blood shot eyes, drooling, and laughing (like many non-users think) infact MANY artists

  • @johnwaynejohnson whom (majority of the successful material) has been produced when he was high (on whatever originating chemical) cantrell partied before shows, so did zeppelin (hell again paige had numerous overdoses) bands are known to lie during interviews, and then re-coupe what they said years later "oh well..heh i just said that" some musicians early in their career use drugs, some quit, some continue, some use it to be creative (no one can discount that marijuana OBVIOUSLY enhances music

  • @johnwaynejohnson also cantrell partied fairly hard over the years, (he was arrested several times througout the late 80s and early 90s, and in 1993, keith richards had a blood removal/auto shock therapy- for opaite addiction, motley crues lead singer nikki sixx kicked heroin after 1987, but continued througout the 90s and early 2000s with alcohol and cocaine, and also tell that to scott weiland

  • @johnwaynejohnson that its differnet for everyone, at different levels through their lives - overall though as said its sad to see talented people as this pass on in such ways - but thats the beast

  • @Itzsfo0 in 1976, paige overdosed on stage, so how could that not be true ?

  • @johnwaynejohnson anyway though...no splitting hairs, they were all junkies (most of the people Ive named) high or well, or sick - reguardless it overtook their lives, no reason to debate - none of us really know, 1) can show up and be strung out...but to another person its just a HIGH 2) one can fall out from a small amount, and not be strung out 3) one can be ill as fuck, not well and still perform essential tasks..so I think we can agree to disagree as much as we want but have to admit

  • if i was there i don't mind exchanging numbers with Layne

  • sorry it was junkhead, and would

  • @johnwaynejohnson would have been optimum

  • layne so cute here

  • @childxofxfate Cute? Hahaha its still a cool song

  • @bigzbert lol well its my personal taste sweety *wink*

  • @childxofxfate hahahaha but alice in chains is still my favorite band no doubt

  • That guy with the hat is such a freaken geek...

  • @johnwaynejohnson Yeah assholes like me don't really know music, it's an exclusive privilege of the self-righteous.

  • oh god hes cute love you Layne r.i.p

  • I wonder why Layne always wore long sleeves, and shades... Hmmmm...

    R.I.P Love you man.

  • @EposEffekte only after 93' is where he always wore more clothing.

  • I love this song but Layne is a shell of himself in it

  • aout of tune!!! stop takin drugs!!!

  • @frazzatutto he stopped the day he od'd, but this shows how you can tell if they are on something because no one can flay totaly blitzed i dont care who it is it will sound bad

  • @johnwaynejohnson I'm not sure I agree with that. You play the same songs every night and you can play them in a coma. Drugs just make it more fun.

  • @kerplunk2000 but it still sounds bad, aerosmith sounded like pure shit when they were wasted all the time and could not play and they all are good musicians, go drink a fith of jack and try to play a two hour show it can be done trust me but you will miss alot of notes if your fucked up.

  • @johnwaynejohnson I play fucked up all the time...granted I'm no Jerry Cantrell but if you practice enough you can learn to play while under the influence almost just as well as you can otherwise...just my opinion.

  • @johnwaynejohnson yea but drinking a 5th of jack, and shooting raw heroin (ESPECIALLY once you've done it for years...and years, and you have a habit, and your no longer even really getting a rush) and trust me I'm a recovering opiate addict (not to bring personal bad habits into the mix) but trutfully its the DRUG that your currently on that impacts how well or bad you perform live. Literally, most heroin addicts, FUNCTION better while high, when they are sick (most sober people who have no

  • @johnwaynejohnson real clue about heroin, and/or opiates wouldnt know that - that most junkies are ONLY normal when they are "well" (IE not sick) when they are sick, IE going thru withdraw, dopesick whatever you wanna label it - is when they perform their daily life activities with horrible results (IE layne singing with AIC later years 1996/onward) although 1996 was the last year HE performed live with cantrell, kinney, and inez - so (it was another 5-6 years before his death in 2002 - and

  • @johnwaynejohnson coming from one addict to an other (reguardless of how rich you are, or if your in the public limelight) all that matters is when your a junkie, you use - you are "well" when you are well, you eat, shit, shower, work, smile, can "GET" through the day as per normal, when your sick (IE sober, without the drug in your system) you detox, withdraw, migraines, vomiting, inability to control emotions, shakes, hot/cold/cold/hot, sweats, kicking in sleep (muscle spasms) (in severe

  • @johnwaynejohnson cases (all of those along with flu-like symptoms, depression, seclusion/rescluse) bad mood (to say the least) so take that into consideration ALONG with the fact layne had not been performing as often those past 2 years of performing live (1995-1996) with AIC , not as much studio time, band practices, layne not showing up for events, cancellations (because if theres one thing I know about heroin addiction/opiate addiction) is you wont do squat UNLESS your under the influence

  • @johnwaynejohnson cause your sick, if your well you can get on stage (most likely EVERY time you saw layne on stage in those last years of performing he was "well" IE he had got "on" backstage. shot up, felt better, and could get on with his life, his performance, his duties as friend, musician (reguardless whether he was off-key and the most likely reason for that is because well his natural health had declined+lack of performing (atleast as often as they did in the earlier years) it was no

  • @johnwaynejohnson longer his main goal (his main goal had to have been getting well everyday, several times a day - throughout the day - granted those that are always strung out on other drugs (drinking, downers such as benzos, etc, and/or all fucked up on speed (bingeing for days) or hard-drinking continunously are obviously going to have major effects on their performances live as musicians - but for a (simply pure heroin addict) needing to get well, before performing he would actually prob

  • @johnwaynejohnson perform better then when he was sick (imagine if layne had gone without heroin for 4-5 days and forced to perform) im sure he'd be AHELL of alot worse, missing all sorts of keys, octives, notes (whatever the technical words are) for a singer - you could tell the years of abuse were getting to his physically while onstage in 1996 (including the MTV unplugged in september) but I can also tell he was 1) high and 2) able to perform MUCH better then he would have if he had been 3)

  • @johnwaynejohnson sic k, and inable to perform period, much less a 2 hour or 90 minute set of 12-13 songs w/ the band without messing up frequently (infact he only had the minor slip-up on Sludge Factory in the beginning) which could happen to anyone (and as cantrell clearly stated it had BEEN awhile since performing together they were allowed a few of those) again inactive + being sick = would be the worse results for layne while doing a live performance, being well (IE high+practicing often

  • @Itzsfo0 he wasnt sick heroin messes with the vocal chords, same thing happened to steven tyler, that is why he had throat surgury, plus they have a song that goes no excuses

  • @johnwaynejohnson all dope really does is make your voice deeper, or scratchy - and how do you know he wasnt sick its clearly obvious in some performances he wasnt all that well - either by withdraw of just physical damage done over the years, in some performance like the one above he may be high but everyone seems to think that when they are "messed" up it does the same thing, the big thing you have to remember = increased tolerance = ability to cope/able to do things easier ALSO the one big

  • @johnwaynejohnson thing we are forgetting is heroin affects different people different ways, I know a 27 year old girl (an ex-gf + best friend all the way back to high school) with whom, when she was actively using (which she did for many years off/on) didn't matter if she shot up a bag of dope, or hell 4 20s of dope didnt matter, she drove, talked (everything) just fine, yet another person could inject the same amount (with or without a habit) and be all messed up and nod out, its obvious

  • @johnwaynejohnson layne had plenty of experience, plus a fairly hardcore habit - the way it affected steven tyler is different then layne, ok if were going that route what about keith richards from the rolling stones who only seems to get better (now in his late 60s, even older then steven tyler, and has abused opiates for nearly 40+ years) longer then both staley or tyler, he recently has been clean for about 2-3 years (but still drinks, smokes like a freightrain) yet his backup vocals an

  • @johnwaynejohnson guitar play is (as good, if not better) then in the 60s, or early 70s (it comes with more experience) hes even openly admitted it as much in the early 2000s (while he admitted he had to get clean, he also admitted the opiate addiction while damaging in its own ways, has helped his playing throughout a 40+ year career) and then you have the dead kurt cobain who said he gained weight (cause he was able to eat, keep down solids/food) while touring live in 93-94 (prior to death)

  • @johnwaynejohnson his singing was always sorta disrtorted, scratchy and fucked up yet he claimed some singers he knew (band: the pixies) (among others) when lead singers sung CONSTANTLY while under the influence of heroin got used to that deep, scratchy dope-voice - also remember alot of these musicians (as i said above) are affected differently by different drugs then their contemporaries/partners/etc - Layne also had a huge coke habit (smoking crack, injecting coke solo and with heroin ie

  • @johnwaynejohnson speedball, so whos really to say ? what layne was on, he could of been high (although he couldnt be THAT high, with his habit, growing rapidbly, and after years and years of abuse he couldnt be getting THAT high, he forgot lyrics (1 line, he mixed up on the unplugged performance) whos to say if he hadnt shot coke (which wears off fairly quickly) or dope, or both, or was half-assing it (ie wasnt getting "quite" where he wanted) we will never know everyones affected differently

  • @johnwaynejohnson but no excuses is just a song, remember how they always say musicians write songs, and different people interpret them different ways - you cant tell me during the live performance layne was feeling great ? its blindingly obvious, his demeneor, straight to the point, he may have shot up before the performance but he wasnt feeling great, he was probably just "average" at best, able to perform with alittle fucking up - but I see Phish Live after nearly 25 years on the road

  • @johnwaynejohnson and/or rolling stones after all those years of so much heavy partying, drugs, booze, and women - its clearly affected how they look (lol) speeds up the ageing process but it has lasting permanent affects on the body (coke does more damage then heroin does, everyone knows that, its more dangerous to inject cocaine ANY day then heroin, and heroins long term affects are GREATLY exaggerated) crystal meth, and cocaine injection over long periods of time do far more internal damage

  • @johnwaynejohnson layne didnt look good period, in comparison to his earlier years that much is known - compare his 1992 performances (reguardless whether he was HIGH) in the beginning he was HIGH much HIGHER and look at him, he was HIGH as fuck at the MTV 1992 ball (for the opening of the movie: SINGLES) where rikki rachtmen opens for alice in chains and they do, junkhead and one other song (i think them bones) and blam they do so damn good, it sounds BETTER then the studio album/tracks does

  • @Itzsfo0 there is a difference in being high and strung out on heroin, if he was strung out he would not have even shown up

  • @johnwaynejohnson there is a difference but your forgetting one thing, junkies who have been using for long periods of time, consistently over the years DONT GET HIGH, no rush...its gone...from methadone, suboxone (lol i should know first hand, as I speak, right at the moment) recovering = maintenance, thats all a habit is maintenance, layne started in the mid 80s...by mid 90s, nearly a decade of using (heavy use, much heavier then the normal person) I highly doubt he was strung out or high..he

  • @johnwaynejohnson was "well" probably nothing more at 80% of his performance...strung out just means your out of it...you've been bineging that means nothing..high is just in the beginning when you actually get an euphoric effect out of the opiate/heroin....10 years down the road (even myself) If I got buy 3 20bags of raw dope, cold-stir it, mix it, find a vein, shoot up, what do you think is going to happen ? a 5-10 minute rush...come down...feel "well" thats it...nothing more, I'd have to

  • @johnwaynejohnson do quite alot to get even a good good buzz, period - also as I said before lets take into consideration it affects everyone differently (I dont know these musicians personal habits by heart...how many times a day they use, and if they were clean for X amount of months, etc, etc) your tolerance never leaves you...even after a long period of sobriety...it never really goes away...it will decrease (with no use) or increase (with more use) but it never goes away...but you can tell

  • @johnwaynejohnson but you may be right about the definition of high, or strung out, but really thats splitting hairs...it comes down to it...you use, you get high, you keep using, your tolerance increases, before long you have to do so much it borders overdosing, then you die, or you get clean (at some point) with the help of family, friends, treatment/medication (maintenance) then you either relapse (fall off wagon) or continue sobriety, in a nutshell its just sad hes gone...I dont think those

  • @johnwaynejohnson last few years, he was having any fun (hell you wanna talk about STRAIGHT from the horses mouth) he said as much in that so-called last interview in late 2001, just months prior to his dead in april 2002 - about how he knew he was near death, the internal permanent damage he had done, etc, etc (plus who knows what kind of bactera infections he had) thats the trouble with tools...and IV use...I also (again) should know...thats awhole nother can of beans I'm not opening up

  • @johnwaynejohnson cause then were talking abcess's (2 on my left arm, that are tiny bumps now...after being cut open, drained, and packed with dressing) and antibiotics - also some people (how I dont know) are too stupid to clean their tools after using them...then get a horrible infection like endocarditus (heart-valve/lining damage) that eventually ends in death (usually in a few years) it comes from not cleaning your tools properly...leftover blood in the works, thats what laynes ex-gf ex

  • @johnwaynejohnson cafiancee died from whatever her name was its on the tip of my tongue - demri parrot that was her name - either way...oh yea and just to mention to you my brother (whom has even much more experience then myself) hes 42 - and saw AIC many years back at the baltimore civic center said just as a FYI...layne has been strung out before and attempted to perform...case in point he fell out moments before the show started, and AIC had to cancel the 3 remaining dates on the east coast

  • @johnwaynejohnson infact I think I read several times while almost about to jump on stage layne fell out a clear sign of over-useage (but then again history has shown us many rock stars have fell out prior to getting on stage, and throughout the majority of the 70s, jimmy paige from zeppelin was on the dope lean during performances...he continued on) now he looks like a 70 year old wrinkled up asian woman..heh

  • @Itzsfo0 i dont know if that paige comment is true even though he and all the band did drugs but in an interview i read he said they never did drugs before a show only had a few cocktails. It is a shame though when you look at someone like keith richards who is now petrified but he quit herion in the eighties by his self and has not been on the hard stuff since, drugs do not help you be creative and that is probably why cantrell did mostly everything

  • @johnwaynejohnson jerry did not play fucked up, layne was on heroin and you can tell, his voice sounds bad not in exact key as it is when he was sober, some people can play fucked up but there is a point where it sounds bad and if you know music you can tell it.

  • I dont think people give Sean enough credit.....even live.....i dont think i have ever heard him mess up in any way...

  • @PierceM3 Sean is badass drummer...

  • @PierceM3 Totally agre, there are few drummers as consistent as Sean Kinney

  • @PierceM3 very under rated, much like Bill Ward

  • @PierceM3 sean is the bassist right? i love the bass in all aic songs

  • @JacksonJS50Dinky ah............i love them all AIC forever!

  • @TheAsianDomaination sean is the drummer, if Im right, mike inez is the bassist

  • @PierceM3 he is a good fuckin drummer!

  • look how original they look on stage i would've seen these guys in walmart and not known who they were. Too bad theres no more of that. It's just like James from Tool said, he wasn't trying to sale a face by having noticing hairstyles, I don't understand whats with the expensive outfits. what happened to the musical artists who didnt care about fame?

  • i love this song but this "duh duh" is annoying ...

  • @aenimavegan wow, that part is awesome x)

  • @brunobb1 the guitar but not the voice noise :(

  • @aenimavegan I like the "too too" too x)

  • The reason I love AIC, AND Nirvana both because their grunge, and grunge HAS MEANING!!

  • damn layne looks pretty sickly here and its still about 6 years before he finally passed away

  • It's useless to compare Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Nirvana and Soundgarden. They are the Big 4, very different but all of them very special in their way of making beautiful art.

Never happened before such a great group of musicians coming out in the same period from the same place

  • @MARSELIMADHE You forgot STP in there but that may be just my preferrence

  • @MARSELIMADHE Yes it did. In the 1980's Metallica, Megadeth, Testament, Slayer, Exodus, Anthrax all basically made their names in Los Angeles all around the same. If anything the west coast has had some great artists come out in the past 20 years from AIC to Metallica. Either way its fuckin great!

  • @MARSELIMADHE thank you for getting this! i can't stand hearing stupid arguments on every video about this. people need to be grateful for all the great albums these bands made while they were around instead of fighting about them
