@BillxSand , i get it, it was just weird that he showed so many and for so long. then he showed the random girl who had nothing to do with it. All at a DEFCON convention. I felt like he should have focused more on the hacking then the images.

The guy makes some excellent points: If the thief can't login to your laptop, he'll most likely wipe it. You could always dual boot with the second OS encrypted and hidden from the boot manager like using a USB drive to start it up and have the other OS some unencrypted Windows OS installed with keyloggers, screenshots, dameon sending email reports, and of course a vncserver. I'd also add into it some way to punch through firewalls so you can login the vnc. And keep your serial numbers!
