Going from experience of owning an iPhone for about 15 months. I've dropped mine numerous times, the metal casing has got a couple of minor dents in it, but the glass is still in one piece, not chipped or cracked. So I'd say it's up to the job.

It's certainly more robust than my previous phone, a Nokia 95. I had the screen crack from just been in my pocket.

yeah the glass screen is pretty tank and the back of it dosent get scratched that easily either

the 3G iphone does have gps now, although it's not like a regular gps navigator u might know,where it gives you step by step directions, but it will just tell you where you are and where you are going currently and your destination. the price is in dollars by the way, but the new iphone 3g is only $199.

so its quite shocking for such a good phone to be 200bucks.however, now the basic at&t plan increased to $30 a month(and thts completely basic without text messaging)

Like: the real-Web page, big display, larger text zoom. But numerous things I might not like as much as options I know well from experience...so I'll try it first.

For example, the Contacts list looks less navigable, and I don't want carpal-finger.

What happens when you bump the screen during a call, or in a pocket? Not wild abt the monthly Plan price either. Open Wi Fi access is GOOD. Let's insist we get it w/o paying more, yes?
