hi, no the Parrots never ate the small fish. Remember, their mouths are misshaped and really cannot bite anything. they may try to 'butt' other fish, but not so much. I had my Parrots in a 55g and then had to move them to a 120g tank as they grew. I always felt it best to have at least a pair of fish of the same species in the tank. I dont know how a lone parrot would react. May be fine. Best of luck... :-)
Did the Parrot ever end up eating the Neons? I have some, and some Rams, and I was wandering if a Blood Parrot would work ok in the tank? 55 gallons lots of plants
i am having a problem with my yellow parrot, though it goes well with other fishes it cannot stand any other parrots in the same tank, i got it a pair, a blood parrot but the yellow one kept on driving it all the time. cannot believe its doing great with Dwarf Gouramis and a pair of carp. plse help, also that if i plant any plant, my parrot would uproot it. plse help.
