  • i'm pretty sure you could've still gotten a few months of mowin out of this mower . .

  • @aztekwarrior518, i could, but i got an engine waiting for a deck and took a few parts off this blown engine and slap on a donor engine and got a nicer mower, and on top of that, the original owner didn't checked the oil prior to starting the mower for the mowing season after storage, it had a lot of blowby, a lot of blowby mean very weak or no power to cut the grass

  • i waited 3 mintes for this? i want to see it explode !!!!!!!! lol

  • @fordescort1800, yea i was hoping for that too LoL

  • Amazing what "YOU" can put a Briggs throug! Even though you added KEROZINE in the crank case it still soldered on in spit of a persons stupidity of pouring a jet fuel in the crank case. Grat Job! I'm sold!!! Briggs takes a F@#$# beating and keeps own Going! And Yes, it does. I've seen the very samething done before! Good Video!

  • u could have cut the grass while waiting for it to blow idiot!

  • @Pioneer833, you could at least add a background on your channel, IDIOT! :P Xx BLOCKED xX

  • because of this video.......after ten minutes the engine should run again....let the hot engine sit a few minutes to cool down a bit--then take it at the knife and try to turn-it should be possible again--if not a hard knock should help--then try to start up the engine again ("sound in the liner ist ok XD XD XD)--it should be possible after more attempts--dont forget more primer--the reward ist a "cool" running engine with a rough sound and if the oil gets hot again its "smokey joe" XD XD

  • @thefatbug1969, i tried to get it going again, and the keyway splitted so didn't wanna piss with it, need the frame for the new engine

  • a nice thing is: let only a a bit oil in the crankcase--let the engine run full throttle until it stucks -but not complete-piston should not be killed..... and then refill with oil until oil level is reached--so the engine works but not good--a lot of smoke and fun ist the "reward" XD XD

  • @MrTehPrankCaller, because i don't waste time with trolls, all they do is waste my time replying to their retardedly comments

  • I want 3 minutes and 17 seconds of my life back :/

  • @goviveksingh, i want 30 seconds of my life back after reading your comment :P

  • @SpiritsoftheWolf haha good one :P. But it takes you 30 secs just to read a sentence? haha

  • @goviveksingh, reading and typing a message :P, Xx BLOCKED xX

  • Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering kaboom!

  • Death of a hero!

  • haha funny chug and his little mower

  • @RReaper100, haha little prick and your gay comment, what's the matter kid? did your little red choo-choo jumped off the track, and need to take your anger out on youtube? sadly that's the best you can do on here? oh wait, your doctor told me that you don't have enough brain cells for the prozac to be effective to come up with a better insult! FAIL! Xx BLOCKED xX

  • piss poor video. Next time make flames shoot out of it!

  • @eatingcatshit, piss poor comment and piss poor channel, go eat more cat shit, and add pigshit for icing, keep your retardly comment to yourself, stupid horse ass

  • foolish Man. i locked one clean up from lack of oil. put ail back in used a 3 foot pipe wrench to force it to spin. it started to spin freely. i could crab the crank and move it in and out and up and down even. i ran it for another 3 years like that. on my race kart. with no governor. rpms so high valves float with fire out the exhaust. nonstop for 3 mile runs at a time on a gravel dusty road with no air filter. it never blew. these things will run forever half broke. they don't die.

  • That front wheel is very entertaining

  • should've sent it to davidsfarm

  • @wizard101emily, yea right i am in the US and he's in canada, i would like to go there someday, would have made an all wheel drive car for the fun of it LoL

  • @SpiritsoftheWolf LoL i am in the us also I am in florida moving to conneticut :D i hate florida its too hot especially when your ducts are CRUSHED and have holes in them and air conditioning is useless! my window unit has been on for a year i just turned it off it was spitting water out tha vents

  • @SpiritsoftheWolf i would love to go there

  • Beautiful.

  • no mowers are more durable than Briggs or Honda. Tecumseh are just awful, after a couple of years their magnetos slip out of alignment and then spark at the wrong time.

  • @Benjimindle, don't forget, tecumseh engines throws a rod, even when the engine is full of oil

  • @SpiritsoftheWolf yeah and guess what i found out, tecumseh engines have this oil pump on the cam and it feeds oil to one side of the cylinder, and the valves, but can you guess what the thing is leaving out?

there is no port for the oil to go on the crankshaft/rod area, i looked all up and down the crankshaft and there is no oil channel to it, nor does tecumsehs have oil slingers, thats why their rods fail so much.

  • @motorhead45102, that is why i don't use tecumseh engines on my mowers, nor i buy one, i only buy a mower that has a briggs engine, and they are dependable for me

  • @SpiritsoftheWolf also do you know much about briggs quantum's ? I never had one but was going to buy one, i have owned the classic, sprint, intek, and ohv engines of briggs but never had one that said quantum on it. are they just an upgraded classic? cause the classic and sprints are the same and they are a really good engine, heck all of briggs is a good engine.

  • @motorhead45102, they are good, but it's a little bigger , more than 4 horsepower, so a bigger engine block is needed, my mom got one that i bought her for mothers day and she has no problem with them since 8 years, if i am not mistaken

  • @SpiritsoftheWolf well i had this briggs 3.5hp which is now loosing somthing, its starting to knock and tic more than it did a year ago. but its 19 years old. not too bad. but i hope the person doesn't try to rip me off on that engine cause its an older one and they said we paid lots of money for it , so hope i can buy it cheaper than a new 300 series briggs, which is like 100 or so bucks.

  • @motorhead45102, the mower i got the mower for my mom was 129.00 bucks and from lowes, and all my mowers i got runs perfect, even the 1959 cooper mower, it runs like a top

  • @motorhead45102 quantums are slightley different engines to the rest of em quantums are more powerful bigger bigger piston and a few more things. but generally they are good engines

  • These motors are tough as nails...And this video proves it :)

  • @scott93257, you are right

  • i bet you that thing was hot as hell

  • @mattlinda, with kerosene as oil, i'm sure it gotten hotter than 260* LoL

  • the engine should have made a loud bam noise when it blew up.

  • @gatrwrks, yea it should, but the keyway splitted after the flywheel nut came loose

  • i really dont think it needed to be that long.

  • It didn't blow up...it seized

  • Me and a buddy use to have a home made moped with a Briggs engine and we got bored 1 day and desided we was going to blow it up so we filled it full of gas and leaned it up against a tree and fixxed the throttle to stay wide open and we drained the oil and fired it up and waited... It ran out of gas and didn't blow. :( We needed more RPMs, lol.

  • well, that goes to show how tough those briggs engine are.... and tecumseh wouldn't last long, even if it about 3 ounces short from full on oil, it throws a rod

  • bet that smelled wack

  • That sounds BAAAAD!!! That mustve been a seriously neglected lawmower

  • Did you see that wheelie?

  • i would love to put a duraforce 2 cycle motor

off a lawnboy mower on a standard deck like this one

    the duraforces are powerful!!!!!

  • was it a 6.5 hp?

  • I just got a mower sitting on the side of the rode

No i didn't steal it but it works just fine!!!!!

  • hehe iv found one like that... it was midnight on a saturday

  • why were you up that late?

  • why not? walking home from a party.

  • oh, now i know why.

  • dude where do u find your shit i biked around all frikken day today and didnt find shit! and fall clean out is tomorrow! come on people throw out your crap!!!!!!

  • I think you got a little blow by problem LOL

  • yep, metal shaving found in oil, means needs servicing bad... that engine is shot

  • Hold on to your seat IT'S GONNA BLOW !!!!!

  • @1972FordF150 HAHAHAHA

  • just a TINY problem eh?

  • no kidding !!

  • and it didn't blow the rod! proves how much more durable Briggs and Stratton engines are!

  • sure didn't the only thing that prevents this briggs from starting when it too hot is a plastic camshaft, i tried starting it ran a little but stops, never started again, my guess is the plastc camlobes moved it out of time, so.... i got a good engine on it and used a lot of parts from this to the other engine, and will make a new video of it soon

  • how do you clean out the carbon on mower engines without taking the cylinder head off?

  • that's the only way to clean the carbon off the pstion

  • you could put water down the intake in just little sprays from a spray can right?

  • unless a can of gumout could clean the carbon out of it, in fast streams with 1 full shot every 2 seconds

  • yeah but didnt people use water too?

  • heh i never seen them use water in the engine, unless they wanting to hydro lock the engine

  • oh. i tryed it before and it worked real well. it was clean after too and didnt smoke as much.

  • go to autozone and ask about this stuff called seafoam

  • does seafoam clean out the carbon deposits?

  • yes

  • that wont fix a rod knock. ha

  • Was that kerosene instead of oil? i had a motorbike that ran out of oil so i used petrol instead for about a week & it was fine

  • yup i filled the crankcase with kerosene in it, and by the way the engine vapor coming out like that... it was hotter than normal, until the ending part... it was running low on kerosene... and was way tooooo hot before it finally gave up, i will get a new video of the motor teardown, inspecting the rod, crankpin, piston, rings, and the cylinder wall

  • omg, lol

  • poor quantum. didnt stand a chance against kerosene but only a briggs would last more than 30 secs. just shows. rod knock and all still lasted 15 minuts. briggs isnt the engine, its THEE engine.

  • yup, i felt bad when i did that but, it has to be done so i can use the parts off this engine and put it on the new engine that will replace this engine, it's bad enough when the previous owners didn't add oil after they pull it out of the shed and saw that oil puddle on the floor... i mean it was huge puddle.... they didn't even bother checking the oil before firing it up, when i pull a mower out of the garage, shed, storage... i always check the oil before it fires up

  • like killing a mad cow. its sad but has to be done. well i am sure that person will sell somebody else a mower that he/she them ran oil free. well all engines have a low oil shut down. only some more dramatic than others. XD

  • that would be a neat idea, they need to do that on smaller engines, so when the engines gets low on oil.... it shuts down, my generac has the same thing... and i like that

  • yea it would huh. i made a pun too. it shut down when it seized. low oil shutdown. YAY FOR A STUPID PUN!!!! well soon it will be like efi on cars. a huge thing now last year later. briggs makes protection for both ends of the scale. high oil burn off, and low oil shutdown. another reason why briggs is THEE engine. and soon briggs will be the last one standing

    MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • I hate how people are so dumb like that, then you got other people who just add oil every year reguardless of the level, I even saw a mower (4 stroke) where someone overfilled it with 2 stroke oil!

  • whoa... 2 stroke oil in a 4 stroke?? damn, that is real thin oil grade, did it still run... don't the 2 stroke oil get hot? i mean like the straight 30 oil, it gets hot, bot not hot as acetylene blow torch... i never thought that anyone would use 2 stroke oil in 4 stroke engine as a regular oil

  • I couldn't get the mower started it was so full of oil, but I never got to properly work on it, the lady had someone else do it because I was gonna take it home to work on but my car was in the shop :P

  • Was it a quantum? do not worry too much the quatum is not a real briggs&stratton anyway, plastic camshafts, no engine bearings & somehow the ones i find at the rubbish dump all have broken connecting rods even though they are only like 10mm long & 45mm thick. How does that even happen?.

  • yeah but they run quieter because of the plastic cam and i had mine going for a long time on it over revved and over heated and still was up to specs. and didnt throw a rod. but it is dead now and apart. it was the quietest one i had ever used too. until the rod bolts got stretched.
