@joeneylonable Well, i respectfully disagree. sometimes actors gain wheight and drop wheight for movies. Kind of like the movie with tom hanks cast away, he went from chubby to ripped during his time on the the island. Also sometimes they start the movie with the actor looking one way, wait a couple months and his appernce is changed to fit the last part of a movie. Not being an ass, just thought id tell you this but i could be completly wrong, lol.
@joeneylonable this clip was recorded from episode 24 of David Letterman aired in September of 1993 .. he was a guest star along with Lily Tomlin and Mike Lupica
he seems rlllllly sweet! i didnt think he was just cuz of some of the roles hes played but he seems rlly sweet and shy...... its a cute personality :)
It is! I don't think many people have the imagination to appreciate such a weird joke, but I don't think I've ever laughed this hard from a stand up routine.
@Donkym i guess some folks demand new material...when i saw dennis miller, some were heckling him for repeating material from his 'off white album'. they wanted some NEW stuff....lol.
Every Comic has to repeat jokes, because when you get a gig, they want you to use the jokes that have been proven to get laughs, the only time you do new jokes, is at an open mic, or comedy club, once you know they work, you use the new ones at a gig.
@Sabre809 it's like pro wrestling, you use the same signature moves that made you famous and a draw but if you are a good sound ground technician and student of the game you'll learn to adjust to different styles and stuf. PLus the people who book you, book you just like you've just explained
kinda dissappointed a really small ammount of dissappointment i tought at that moment he had a head full of jokes but ah i mean it was a while ago but the thing is that well yeah that was the thing
I can't believe he called Catherine Ohara the "woman from home alone" she is the mother of sketch comedy, her time on SCTV was easily as good as anything Sandler every did on SNL.
I think that the Elvis joke is like our "that's what she said joke" its some inside joke from way back when i think, i'm not sure though.. there's probably some commercial about it from way back then, someone would have to do some reesarch, cuz the audience seems to knwo what he's talking about O.o
@TheLostPlanet979@kingfresheswon Yeh he is nervous and it isnt part of his act its because he was 100% nervous on stage. Thats why after doing the stand up clubs for Funny People he vowed never to do stand up again, he realised why he hadnt done anything like that all these years. Its well documented across the internet.... Really into stand up, the man is like the comedy godfather, hes running everything from huge films and amazing tv programmes, cant be bad!!!
By the way, how odd is it that 18 years after this clip aired I finally did a search online to find it, only to to see you you put it on YouTube a mere day earlier. Bizarre, no?
This can't be 94, I mean happy Gilmore was 96, no one ages that much in 2 years :p
