I also remember how this was predicted to be the way of the future for all soaps. I don't know, if the genre hadn't been dying by this point, maybe it would have been...hopefully less brightly lit.
@wx4newengland I'd like to know too. I know a few years ago AMC tried a "filmic" look which was widely panned. So did Sunset Beach in its first months. It may end up looking like some of the shows like The Bay.
Omg, this seems like it was such a good show. Wish I had watched it.
