You can use Google map to go to Savile Row in London and by putting the little man on the street (and by spinning and moving him) take a virtual tour of the area where all the people are gathered for the rooftop concert. There are quite a few buildings that are easy to spot.
@AllegedClock Woah, Yoko Ono didn't do anything to him besides fall in love with John. Lennon loved her and you can see that they were in love right off the bat. They had strong chemistry and also, he wouldn't make most of his famous hits without her. If you love John then you should respect his decision to be with a woman. Like John said if people hated the woman that he loved then that's an insult to him.
For me, I like Yoko Ono she is an inspiring artist.
@AbigailDouglas yeah but john was being unfair to the other beatles by letting her in to their recording sessions.she was probaly bitching to go and john didnt want to hurt her feelings.she put a spell on john cause she is a dirty witch!
@AllegedClock Actually, no. John didn't want her to be alone because he was paranoid that someone will fall madly in love with her like he did. That's why he takes her every where.
Well it' basically saying that it was Linda's fault for breaking up the Beatles as well. That's nonsense.
The Beatles were going through tough times before Yoko came, barely anymore harmonies. People were just pointing the finger on her so they can have someone to blame.
@AbigailDouglas wrong again! imagine what wouldve happened if linda, pattie,or mauren came to the studio. they wouldnt of been able to consintrate on the music. john fucked up the beatles. but i dont blame him because he was probaly getting bored of his band mates, but still!
@AllegedClock Linda and their children actually went into the studio, in case you didn't know. She contributed backing vocals on "Let It Be" for the single release. Paul was able to concentrate with them there. John was to when he had to for a song.
He wanted a solo career before Yoko Ono came along, but he didn't want the career to be permanent. I think he would have committed suicide if he didn't have Yoko. He was sick of the Beatlemania. She saved him.
@AllegedClock But did he die from that? No, he did not. R.I.P Johnny. He did the world good by giving peace a chance with Yoko. They did a lot for the protests and influenced more people to participate in the protests. :)
@AbigailDouglas i guess so. but i blame yoko in my opinion and i appreciate you having this debate with me.i has changed my point on yoko sort of because he was happy with her after the beatles broke up,but like i said it was her fault for the breakup.
It's so fucking gold to watch The Beatles playng in their last performance one of the songs that started all in the beginning. I mean, they used to play this song at night clubs in Germany at times they didn't even have a label.
@atribecalledquest88 you do realize that there are still bands out there playing music like this, and putting on great shows. Maybe you're just not trying hard enough to get out there and support them so they can do bigger things.
@A1RecordsCanada Theres almost nothing you can compare especially its not only about the band its about the time the lifestyle and groove of rock n roll disco soul funk ray charles.....
@atribecalledquest88 no. You probably sit at home, play video game or listen to old records, regret being born in this era, and it's all simply because you don't leave the safety of your bubble. They is this same shit going on everywhere in every city, you're just not supporting it.
i wish they had the complete un interrupted footage of the rooftop performance without the crap horrible other footage of cops, etc...i always loved this performance and they do the song justice here..its a real nice rocker and george plays a nice solo...
Stopping live performances gave them the time to perfect their album output-I'm sure that it was fun to come out and do a concert after a few years of 'seclusion', but they stopped doing tours for a reason-it was stressful, tiring, and detracted from songwriting.
plus their new ambitious music had alot of studio editing that, at the time, was impossible to replicate in concert, strawberry fields forever, for example
sorry to disagree but they weren't having such a good time. They were fighting continuously and I think George at the end told the police: "How come it took you so long?"
Whenever I see the Let It Be movie and especially "One After 909" I feel an overwhelming sense of sadness. If only they had stayed together or even just worked regularly together what might they have achieved? They were so talented and great innovators, but at bottom they were a great rock 'n roll group who understood and loved where they had come from.
Just finding this one tonight. Never saw it before. This is a magnum. George really hitting every note. All of them really into it. Great rock with blues song.
The Beatles performed "One After 909" (along with other songs from the album) as part of the "Beatles Rooftop Performance" which took place on the roof of Apple Studios in Savile Row, London on January 30, 1969.

I don't know when the concert was, but the album was recorded in 1969, before abbey road was recorded, just released later
so I'm going to assume the concert is in '69
Could very easily be wrong though.
