  • Man the video looks like george's pants are green

  • @fallinloveplaythgame his pants were green

  • surely they could have skipped making another blues song

  • who was that twat walking past at the start..

  • i love this song it sounds like a old country song

    love the beatles

  • paul and john wrote this in their teens i wish i could write this good

  • very underrated song.. incredible :)

  • I like this version better.

  • I want George's pants.

    just saying.

  • @upleftdown I want his Rosewood Tele. ;P

  • remember your bags

  • "Move over honey" First time, then someone walks in front of the camera. *facepalm*

  • Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling.

  • Harrison is insane in this one

  • love hid trousers

  • Love this song

  • Beatles fans did not get to here the roof top, one after 909, dig a pony and I've got a feeling until let it be album came out in 1970

get back/ dont let me down came out spring '69

  • why is this song on let it be? it sounds like a song that would be on please please me.

  • There is an original version of the year 63... They were unhappy with the result and that version was not released at the time.

  • @willygilly101 well actually the let it be album is soppost to be The "Get Back" proyect but they change the name.

My point is that the hole idea was to get back to their rock and roll years

    srry for my English

  • @willygilly101 well better late than never i suppose

  • i'd wish i was born before john was dead

  • Intro is like "you can't catch me" ... I love beatles

  • Nice to see them actually enjoy playing together at the end of the beatles

  • You can use Google map to go to Savile Row in London and by putting the little man on the street (and by spinning and moving him) take a virtual tour of the area where all the people are gathered for the rooftop concert. There are quite a few buildings that are easy to spot.

  • One of my favourite Beatles songs.

  • George's playing is great on this one - as well as everything else too :)

  • John and Paul smile during this one....they had so few happy moments together at the end.

  • @pearlmanjanet jajaj that´s true¡¡

  • The old magic of 63 was still there an energetic performance from the boys.

  • why did john have to die!!! That bitch yoko got in his head!!!

  • @AllegedClock Woah, Yoko Ono didn't do anything to him besides fall in love with John. Lennon loved her and you can see that they were in love right off the bat. They had strong chemistry and also, he wouldn't make most of his famous hits without her. If you love John then you should respect his decision to be with a woman. Like John said if people hated the woman that he loved then that's an insult to him.

For me, I like Yoko Ono she is an inspiring artist.

    R.I.P John

  • @AbigailDouglas yeah but john was being unfair to the other beatles by letting her in to their recording sessions.she was probaly bitching to go and john didnt want to hurt her feelings.she put a spell on john cause she is a dirty witch!

  • @AllegedClock Actually, no. John didn't want her to be alone because he was paranoid that someone will fall madly in love with her like he did. That's why he takes her every where.

Well it' basically saying that it was Linda's fault for breaking up the Beatles as well. That's nonsense.

The Beatles were going through tough times before Yoko came, barely anymore harmonies. People were just pointing the finger on her so they can have someone to blame.

  • @AbigailDouglas wrong again! imagine what wouldve happened if linda, pattie,or mauren came to the studio. they wouldnt of been able to consintrate on the music. john fucked up the beatles. but i dont blame him because he was probaly getting bored of his band mates, but still!

  • @AllegedClock Linda and their children actually went into the studio, in case you didn't know. She contributed backing vocals on "Let It Be" for the single release. Paul was able to concentrate with them there. John was to when he had to for a song.

He wanted a solo career before Yoko Ono came along, but he didn't want the career to be permanent. I think he would have committed suicide if he didn't have Yoko. He was sick of the Beatlemania. She saved him.

  • @AbigailDouglas she saved him by getting him adicted to herion!

  • @AllegedClock But did he die from that? No, he did not. R.I.P Johnny. He did the world good by giving peace a chance with Yoko. They did a lot for the protests and influenced more people to participate in the protests. :)

  • @AbigailDouglas i guess so. but i blame yoko in my opinion and i appreciate you having this debate with me.i has changed my point on yoko sort of because he was happy with her after the beatles broke up,but like i said it was her fault for the breakup.

  • @AllegedClock Well, believe what you want to believe. It's your opinion, not mine. Your welcome, I like debates so yeah. :) Sorry if I bothered you.

  • @AbigailDouglas u didnt.

  • las mejores bandas de rock and roll

    THE BEATLES CALLEJEROS VIEJAS LOCAS

  • man you know they placed in 1960 . ringo wasnt even in the band yet!

  • It's so fucking gold to watch The Beatles playng in their last performance one of the songs that started all in the beginning. I mean, they used to play this song at night clubs in Germany at times they didn't even have a label.

  • Loving George's jeans :) x

  • Nice Song

  • fuckin yoko ono

    she destroyed this AWESOME band

  • Timeless music,I'd wish i was born in the 50's

  • @atribecalledquest88 you do realize that there are still bands out there playing music like this, and putting on great shows. Maybe you're just not trying hard enough to get out there and support them so they can do bigger things.

  • @A1RecordsCanada Theres almost nothing you can compare especially its not only about the band its about the time the lifestyle and groove of rock n roll disco soul funk ray charles.....

  • @atribecalledquest88 no. You probably sit at home, play video game or listen to old records, regret being born in this era, and it's all simply because you don't leave the safety of your bubble. They is this same shit going on everywhere in every city, you're just not supporting it.

  • @A1RecordsCanada Yeah its going on everywhere in every city, however its with music that sucks.

  • @atribecalledquest88 actually 60's man

  • @iloveclassicrock12 but then you would be to young for the 70's ;)

  • Very Awesome, and Very Catchy. It really does remind me fo their older music, although it was written in 1964...

  • @TheKerplode

It was written in 1957 actually...

  • oh sorry. I just read from somewhere that it was written in their early days.

Didn't get the date right :)

  • georges lead guitar fills are sweet

  • defo true, not much complementry can be said bout his trousers though

  • what are they singing at the very end of this video??

  • They are singing "Danny Boy"

  • In which tonality is this song written?

  • Bmajor

  • At 2:24 the guy in the background looks like Ringo

  • Woah HE DOES!

  • this is a great song

  • awesome song

  • Oh! Danny boy!! LOL nice.Awesome song!!

  • great song

  • they were def. having agood time.

i mean, who doesnt have fun jamming?

    u tell me that.

  • this is real footage ! !

  • The greatest group ever!!!

  • i wish they had the complete un interrupted footage of the rooftop performance without the crap horrible other footage of cops, etc...i always loved this performance and they do the song justice here..its a real nice rocker and george plays a nice solo...

  • Can someone do a video comparing this one to the one in the early 60's off the anthology.

  • there is one already

  • Today is One After 909 :) It's 9/10

  • wrong! it's 13/10 XD

  • maybe part of their mistake was stopping live public performances - they're obviously having such a good time

  • I think you're spot on.

  • Stopping live performances gave them the time to perfect their album output-I'm sure that it was fun to come out and do a concert after a few years of 'seclusion', but they stopped doing tours for a reason-it was stressful, tiring, and detracted from songwriting.

  • plus their new ambitious music had alot of studio editing that, at the time, was impossible to replicate in concert, strawberry fields forever, for example

  • sorry to disagree but they weren't having such a good time. They were fighting continuously and I think George at the end told the police: "How come it took you so long?"

It was the end of The Beatles... :(

  • Whenever I see the Let It Be movie and especially "One After 909" I feel an overwhelming sense of sadness. If only they had stayed together or even just worked regularly together what might they have achieved? They were so talented and great innovators, but at bottom they were a great rock 'n roll group who understood and loved where they had come from.

  • Just finding this one tonight. Never saw it before. This is a magnum. George really hitting every note. All of them really into it. Great rock with blues song.

Have more respect for Beatles now.

  • I used to sit with my bass listening to this and trying to copy Paul's basswork when I was a teenager.

  • come on baby dont be cold as ice

    get it right

  • this is probably george's best live performance with the beatles as lead guitarist i mean he rips through the whole song

  • Yessss !

  • I'm the 10000th viewer:)

  • Anyone know what kind of bass that is? It looks small.

  • Its A Hofner Viola Bass

  • i own an epiphone viola bass, its not as great sounding but it looks just as nice

  • I'm trying to get the bass guitarist in my band to get a Hofner....just cuz I wana play it...dont tell him

  • if you wanna go for one like Paul's. try to find a Jay Turser. he makes a much better one than the Epiphone.

  • lovin it

  • haha TheKook23.

  • Wow. They really rock this song. I'm thinking, "Return of the fifties after fifteen years much?"

You know what's amazing? My locker at school is the one after 909.

  • yea editing back then was pretty lame. they never showed the guitar solo, and if they did they showed them strumming the strings.

i wish this video didn't have the mastered version dubbed over it. i wish it was the actual audio.

  • i hate the way that film are edited.. that editor is a crap...

  • i don´t speak english

  • The Beatles performed "One After 909" (along with other songs from the album) as part of the "Beatles Rooftop Performance" which took place on the roof of Apple Studios in Savile Row, London on January 30, 1969.

  • that concert was on apple rooftop

  • I don't know when the concert was, but the album was recorded in 1969, before abbey road was recorded, just released later

so I'm going to assume the concert is in '69

Could very easily be wrong though.

  • its 1970
