  • grande ferenc!!!! un abbraccio!!!

  • Great job! I would like to know what book I can learn this music from, or are you playing the music by ear?

  • @steve123isgood4me

Hey Steve! I found this book in a music store, but I don't remember the name of the book :-S

There are around 12 transcriptions in it with a CD which has backing tracks.

Unfortunately the quality of the backing tracks isn't very good so I decided to make a similar BT from scratch by myself. Cheers.

I found a book online titled, Oscar Peterson Note for Note Transcription Book, w/CD. I believe this may be it. thanks.

  • nice! I am learning this at the moment.

  • Excellent transcription with great chops but what's the race? Your 175bpm tempo would have had a better groove at around 132bpm like Oscar's version on the Live in Paris recording. Nice playing!

  • Szia Feri! Nagyon jól csinálod. Én is épp most vettem meg ugyanazt a a kottát és próbálkozom a "Kelly's Blues-sal" Legközelebb igazi zongorán játszál! Még jobb lenne. üdv. Tomi (szintén svájcbol)

  • Good work Sir.

  • fantastico !!!

  • Sounds great. You played with his style and feeling. Nicely done. Do happen to have a copy of this that you can send me? I think i would really enjoy learning this song. Thanks

  • Thanx!

I used VSTi-s. So, the FP-5 is used only to record a midi track in Cubase with the sound of the C Bechstein (NI - Akoustik Piano). I didn't like the sound of the bass on the original backing track, so I re-recorded it with the sound of Spectrasonic's Trillian. The drum track was also re-recorded with EZDrummer and some other drum samples.

Technically this tune is quite difficult to play. With a good practice scheme you can reduce the learning curve.

    Cheers

  • @duolindafranky

thanks for the information. It sounds like it's both technical playing and technical technology. when you say practice scheme, what do you suggest? should I get the Oscar Peterson multimedia CD and slow it down?

  • I cannot express how jealous I am of your talent. I've been struggling with this piece for a long time. Absolutely fantastic. It looks like you're playing a Roland FP-5. Can you tell me what settings you are using?

  • Nicely done man.

  • Hey man!!! very good!!!

you played the original transcription very cool !!!

    what's next?
