Nice! I was just telling another Youtuber that I been outta butterfly Photo ops for yrs and have forgotten the types! Now I remember some. I have many at my photography site.
There are a lot of different kinds out there - especially when you get into sub-species, geographical forms and seasonal variations. Here in CA there are over 200 - it's a lot to learn and keep track of! =)
CHEF-D'OEUVRE! I've created playlist with your Art " Captivating videos by JCMegabyte"!!! I I love this video :-) and watch it many times. Thank you, Lily
I like butterflies from childhood. Even now I find time to collect them and make specimens. But from the viewpoint of environmental protection, what I'm doing is going against the times...? Anyway your channel is awesome. And this video too.
Thanks for watching and the kind words :-) It's interesting how some people will protest the collecting and display of "pretty" bugs, but yet mass-exterminate ones they don't like (such as ants, mosquitoes, termites, etc.) without hesitation. The guys with the buldozers are doing the real environmental damage, permanently reducing populations of all species and removing their ability to ever recover. A few people with bug collections don't even make a measurable impact. Cheers! =)
I find the video and music extremely soothing and beautiful! It's gonna take some time to go through all 150 of your vids...but it is now on the top of my to do list :)
Hi Shannon! Thanks for visit and great comment :-) I'd be really impressed if you actually managed to sit through all the vids on this channel! XD The oldest stuff isn't so great and the "best of" playlist might be a safer bet, but do feel free to dive in wherever you like. Have a great weekend!
One day technology may improve so that we can feel and smell the scenes as well as see and hear them... wouldn't that be cool! Thanks so much for watching :-)
I've only been to a few; Japan, Canada, and Mexico... but nearly all of my footage is shot right here in Santa Clarita, California. Fortunately for me there is a lot of wilderness within reasonable driving distance, and I can find a lot of my subject material right in my own back yard These butterflies were filmed at the L.A. Zoo :-)
I'm sure you'll really like the EX-F1 ... besides the slow motion functions, it's does HD and is an excellent still-image camera as well. Good luck with it! :-)

Gorgeous! I have a question friend, I am taking care of a Monarch that was born today. I took care of the cocoon nicely, and it's friend, Flutter, has flown away. Curly, the name for my butterfly, has curled wings and cannot fly. Should I continue to take care of him? What should I feed him? Your the expert. I really need help!
Unfortunately your "challenged" Monarch will have to live-out its life in captivity as it would not survive long in the wild. It may live a month or more under ideal conditions. All it really needs is sugar-water solution. Mix about 5%-10% sugar in warm water, then soak a cotton ball (or napkin) in it. Set the butterfly's front legs on it and it should detect the liquid with "taste buds" on it's feet and start drinking if its hungry. I made a video: v=FqzAzLK0P5I Good luck! :-)
You probably have these in your areas too - keep an eye out for them :-) Yep - I'm still at it... no end in sight! I just hope I can keep processing and uploading as fast as I am filming XD
so beautiful ! I don't know what is it about butterflies, but they always bring a smile to my face.
I wish I could be in a place full of butterflies of all kinds, different colors.
Butterflies bring joy to my life, thanks for this video (:

In the early 70s there was a dark sci-fi flick called Soylent Green that depicted a dying earth totally bereft of beauty. I recall only one moment of aesthetic redemption in the entire film: Prior to his induced death, Sol (Edward G. Robinson) is permitted to view a panorama of glorious natural beauty ... lush fields of flowers, majestic sunsets and abundant wildlife. The scene brought tears to my eyes. The beauty of your magnificent vid has affected my emotions the same way. Thank you, jc.
