Ye see stories like these are ever frequent but the question is, is there nothing we can do as people to solve this issue.I mean €2.50 a sheet is crazy ! Great vid Dave !
Also, it used to be something like 10 transactions per quarter or over the phone. Basically, you could pay money off your credit card once a week or whatever and have free banking. But now, you can ring up customer services 50 times in one day and pay your bills in 50 small installments, increasing their workload hugely! What you should do is move banks. It's the remit of the bank you're leaving to set up all your DD and payments to your new account AND you can get better deals.
My bank charges me 28c per transaction. That's withdrawals, lazer card payments and, yes, even deposits. I pay 28c a week to have my own wages paid into my own bank account! I don't have an option to get paid in cash, so I need the bank account. If I make 50 online transactions or payments a quarter, I get the banking free that month. But since I was sensible and didn't take out a large mortgage or have a credit card during boom times, I make NO online transactions a month and am punished.
your bank seems like it sucks i can get the records from my bank online since i opened my account and if i want to get lots of statements i cant get them emailed but i can go into my local branch and ask for them and they will print them out free of charge
This is one of the many reasons i DONT use banks and DONT pay for cell phone plans(prepay all the way!) People need to stop bitching about how companies and banks do their thing! We let them do it by PAYING them and using their services! You want to get rid of this kinda issue GET RID OF MONEY! Or learn to love how it works!
I prefer good ole hard cash. The only time I use plastic I for online purchases or large in store purchases. Using a credit card for a $5 fast food meal is ridiculous. And there is no real incentive to doing so. Ooh 1% cash bank on a bank of america card. That's 1 fucking dollar for ever 100 you spend. Millions of Americans are in debt because of credit cards and I refuse to be one of them. it's the 30s all over again because some people are stupid with their money and put too much on credit.
@gmaster45612374 It's the credit companies who are stupid too (more so really). They allow people they know can't pay things back to get as much credit as they want. That's why we're in such a mess. Use debit, not credit. If the money isn't there, it isn't there. Credit will still allow them to remove funds that don't exist then you end up paying what you owe with interest. Credit is bad, debit isn't... well, not as lol.
Is the future the movie Brazil? Maybe more technologically advanced but still. That's increasingly seeming to be a fairly accurate model of the future in my opinion.
Its really sad that corporations are so backwards with the times. I had a company tell me I had to send a letter, I asked if I could send them an e-mail...the woman on the phone told me they did not have it...
...so on hold, speaking to a supervisor he told me I could...but its not allowed...?!
