  • This weekon National Geographic

  • gallimimus: were fine *tyrannosaurus attacks* ASSAULT ASSAULT!!!

  • I dont think that the spinosaurus could've messed with this t-rex, he's just so huge and aggressive

  • Oh, and actually, Planet Dinosaur is probably one of the best Dinosaur Documentaries ever produced where scientific accuracy is concerned, especially alongside other recent bullshit like Clash of the Dinos and Jurassic Fight Club.

As for pack hunting in Allosaurus: Such behavior is mostly speculation. There is little if any evidence to suggest such behavior as pack hunting in large Theropods, though it isn't entirely out of the question. And no, Sauropod skin probably wasn't especially thick :P

  • In response to below comments regarding biteforce in Allosaurus, it actually did exert fewer pounds per square inch than the bite of a Lion. The real power behind an Allosaurus bite was in the neck: recent analysis indicates that Allosaurus had very powerful neck muscles which it probably used in striking at Sauropod prey, slicing the flesh with its serrated teeth. Essentially, Allosaurus probably used its jaws like a hatchet lined with very sharp teeth.

  • what weird person disliked this?

  • @avedic The gallimimus' best friend?

  • @LilEasterTheTot heh...

  • 00:09 K.O.

  • its sad to think this CGI is still leagues better than some of the stuff today lol

  • YAY VIOLENCE!

  • the gallimimus is like look there a gallimimus but rex said ill finish you first

  • Now freeze the video at 0:04 seconds, just as the T-Rex makes his first unsuccessful lunge, and see the Gallimimus' head disappear through the T-Rex's neck...

The amount of times I've seen this film, and this was only brought to my attention yesterday!

And with JP being re-released in theatres in September, it appears from the trailer that they have NOT fixed this glitch! They could have re-rendered the CG, fixing this error, and comp'd it into the scene quite quickly with current systems!

  • @swinch2187

no what ? fuck,? how did you recognized this error? im mean what the fuck?

  • @superGottx Hey, I didnt spot it in 18 years. I got told about it a week ago! lol

  • Lol the other gallimimuses in the background were like..

Gallimimus 1: HOLY SHIT, IT KILLED KENNY

Gallimimus 2: Yeah, very nice... south park

Gallimimus 1: NO HIS NAME IS ACTUALLY KENNY

    Gallimimus 2: * jaw drops * KEEEENNNNNYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gallimimus 3: make a run for it b4 it eats us!!!

Tyrannosaurus Rex: Yeah bitches, i killed yo friend * crosses arms gangstah style *

  • @DualRoxas677 fail at attempting getting a top comment.

  • @DualRoxas677

    you must be really ill,

imaginating this things in to scene of dynosors thinkinng aubout eating, and not beeing eaten ^^

  • Tyrannosaurus Rex: * pops out of bush *

Gallimimus: Japanese Accent: AHH!! GOJIRAAAA!! * runs and trips * OH SHI-

Tyrannosaurus Rex: OH NOMNOMNOM * yells at sky with bloody mouth * NEVER MESS WITH TYRANNOSAURUS REEEEEEX!!!!!! RAAAWWWWR

  • @f15054I Yeah, most people think that the Rex that got killed in Jurassic Park III was a young Rex. Maybe the one from The Lost World: Jurassic Park. But I believe that this original Rex is bigger.

  • @ChrisJerichoFan86 This original one in the animation looks 15-16 meters long which is far to big for a T.Rex. But the animatronic was about 12.6 meters long. The T.Rex from Jurassic Park III is rumored to be the baby from The Lost World, but it was only a youngster and looks about 11 meters, and the Spinosaurus is about 15 meters. The ones in The Lost World look 13 meters long. Also this T.Rex is cinamon, with yellow eyes, But the other ones are Olive green with Light green eyes. I wonder...

  • @redcarnotaurus So what you're saying is that if Spino actually fought an adult, it would be screwed?

Because I only know a little about palaeontology (loads more than my friends, though), but I'm pretty sure that a T. Rex could defeat a Spino in real life, seeing as how it is commonly agreed that it is a fish eater.

  • @FlyingFocs Yeah, but I don`t know what your saying? I meant a baby could lose fight, but an adult would win most of the time. It was not very large in comparison to the spinosaurus and this one is over muscular, and is not that realistic. Also, palaoentology is very interesting, if you have time, you should check dino`s out! You have more sense than a lot of palaeontologists (eg. Jack Horner) =)

  • @redcarnotaurus Yeah, sometimes I get that I'm the only one who understands what I'm saying, too. Actually, I thinkk a Spino could take down smaller herbivores, but I doubt it was the super predator portrayed in JP3. Maybe it could win a fight against the juvenile, I will give it that.

Out of curiosity, what carnivore do you think could take down a T. Rex.

  • @FlyingFocs I believe that the large sundry theropods, like Carcharodontosaurus and Giganotosaurus, were the best anti-Rex weapon.

  • @redcarnotaurus So do I, and honeslty, maybe Allosaurus. Because, while it is a tad smaller, its arms are more useful than T's. And I also think it might be more vicious, seeing as how it went up against sauropods and stegosaurs.

  • @FlyingFocs I think exactly the same way. you have to remember though, Rex is a tough challenger, with ankylosaurs and ceratoplsians to be dealt with, not to mention the 4 ton bite force! But allo could still come on top, agility is much better in allo. You know, a recent tv show said that big AL had a bite force weaker than a lions! what. a bunch. of crap. Its called planet dinosaur unless you already like it.

  • @redcarnotaurus Less than a lion? Are you sure they said that? I mean, like I said, I only know a bit about paleo (shortened version) studies, but really? They hunted in packs to take down sauropods, and I'd imagine their skin was really thick. Then again, it's not just the bite, it's also the teeth that do the damage. Makes you think.

But yeah, Giga and Carcharo could do pretty well against Rex, especially given their sets of teeth (C's name means "white shark tooth", after all).

  • @FlyingFocs Yeah, they said it. I`m never believing rubbish like that. this is the worst dinosaur series and it lets the others down

  • ITS A FLOCK NOT A HERD

  • Is it just me, or does this T-Rex look much bigger than the one that got killed by Spinosaurus in the Third one?

  • IT'S SHARP TOOTH!!!!

  • for one odd reason that makes me hungry

  • the trex most of its sound came from a camel

  • as the t rex ripped apart galimimus, the sound effects were made from a dog attacking a chew toy

  • Its a scene from 1993, babies :D

  • Did the T-Rex rip out its spine? THAT'S AWESOME!!!

  • @confusedindividual it did

  • @confusedindividual leg, actually

  • Weiß jemand wie hoch die Beißkraft eines T-Rex in etwa war?Oder gibt es darüber keine Erkenntnisse?

  • Look at 00:08...the foolish Gallimimus tries to get a bite in...

  • It must have sucked for any Dinosaur that was ever hunted by that beast...

I mean in the middle of the night, every tremor you feel threw your feet, every noise you hear only to turn around an be snatched an devoured by jaws that carry over 4,000 PSI of power.......

The only thing that could even be compared to such terror like being hunted by a T-Rex is dying tomorrow an being brought back as a Sea Lion dropped in the middle of Great White Territory.

  • One Gallimimus watched this video.

  • FLOCK, Dammit! Tyrannosaurus attacks a Gallimimus FLOCK!

    You FAIL Terminology forever!

  • what i don't understand is, if i was bill gates, with all the money in the world, the FIRST THING i'd be doing is building a dinosaur park...

  • @jamontoastst You didn't watch the movie did you?

  • @rpgmakr i did. and it was awesome. i am john parker hammond, and haters gonna hate on my dinosaurs.

  • This impresses me more than anything I saw in Indiana Jones 4. Is technology devolving?

  • @laserfeet34 not just technology but the human race as well.

  • I'd always wanted to be a T-Rex ever since I saw this movie.

  • 0:10 - 0:11 you can tell the sound effect was derived from a sound of someone gargling :D

  • 1993. I still think Jurassic Park's dinosaur animation was the most convincing. You'd think with all the computer animation technology now they'd be able to do better. They were far ahead of their time. This was at a time when most people still thought dinosaurs were slow, cold-blooded reptiles either walking on all fours or relying on their tails for balance. Tyrannosaurus was just a 6 ton wingless bird, essentially.

  • @GermanOperaSinger The T-rex in this movie isn't animated. They actually created a lifelike, animatronic Tyrannosaurus for the first Jurassic Park film, which explains its realistic appearance.

  • @SnakeSkin950 Yes, I know an animatronic Tyrannosaurus was used, but for certain scenes such as this one, it is clearly CGI. Think about it, there is no way they could've built a 6 ton robot and allowed to move so naturally with this kind of agility. They designed a scaled model, scanned it and used it as a base for their animation. Certain scenes were CGI, while others (when they didn't need a dinosaur's complete profile) were animatronics (Stan Winston was a genius no doubt!).

  • @GermanOperaSinger Right. Yeah, all you gotta do really is watch the making of and that'll tell you when they used which rex. 4 scenes feature the rex, and I believe only one of them, the night attack scene at the Tyrannosaurus paddock, used the animatronic. The other three, the chase, the hunt, and the end, featured the CGI rex. I may be wrong though.

  • @GermanOperaSinger : Somewhere closer to a bird than earlier large predatory dinosaurs such as allosaurus. Not surprising as Tyrannosaurus Rex and other tyrannosaurs were members of the clade of Coelurosauria which included Ornithomimosaurs (such as Gallimimus) and Maniraptors. Maniraptors include Dromaeosaurs (such as Velociraptor and Deinonychus) and Avians (Birds)

  • @GermanOperaSinger They did rely on their tail for balance....

  • @ipwnorcs I didn't clarify; I meant their tails dragging along the ground.

  • @GermanOperaSinger I agree, they did really good on the movie and this scene shows it.

  • @GermanOperaSinger Hey, I agree the reason why jurassic park is so convincing has nothing to do with the technology, but because of the fact that they had a lot of traditional artist that did actual research on topics like dinosaur anatomy. Most movies featuring dinosaurs nowadays are made by relativaly young visual artists who do less research on the topic and continue where this movie ended so the fundamentals are weaker.

  • FRICKIN BRUTAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • om nom nom.

  • @shizuka139 Haha

  • @axelvs94 rawr ima t rex ima eat yall eat ya right upz
