Id love to do this with my dog. The only thing ive tried with him off leesh is camping and backpacking. Next on the list is mountain biking with him! Did they follow you right away? Im nervous to try him in the snow!

These dogs have spent most of their lives off-leash, living in the bush, so they are well used to following us. They love skiing, but it does tend to wear them out early - my dog retired from skiing at age eight. She still likes mountain biking though! There is always a risk of losing one in a tree well - I once had to dig one out of an open creek she'd fallen into - I was lucky I saw it happen, otherwise she would have just disappeared.

They're all mutts of one kind or another. Mine is a black lab/border collie mix.

A 10-12 hour drive, I'm afraid. Lucky for you all of BC is getting slammed with snow this season - 3 meter base at Whistler (so far)!

Thanks - most of the video is near an abandoned mining town in the Coast Range that's being repopulated with ski bums; the heli-drop was on Mt. Currie, outside Pemberton, just north of Whistler.
