  • Damn, I wanted to hear what Asa had to say. Asa to Cord: "Boy, I told you not to trust her, she's a heat seeking missile. (He actually did tell that to Cord before).

Loved this show. Great characters, Great actors. Thanks OLTL for 4 decades of daytime tv.

  • Thanks for posting these scenes. They bring back great memories. I remember how Max forgave Tina, she went to prison, went crazy and then Max and Cord broke her out of prison. OLTL was so good back then.

  • These clips bring back so many memories. One Life was number one for decades and only started calming down a few years ago but is still fun to watch. Looking back on these scenes, it was rather sad how some of these stories were. oltl was harsh, blunt, to the point, and broke every rule. Things happened on oltv that were way advanced for soaps in those days. I'm glad that vicki is finally doing well these days.

  • @debro2009debro I'm not sure I agree with you that the show has "calmed down" and is "still fun to watch" I think it's gotten rather nasty, filthy language, horrible abusive men and women who act like airheads. Yes it was for years "blunt and to the point" but why pull punches? It's a soap opera. It was also the very bast at one time, now the worst!

  • So what happened to Baby Al after this?

  • Gabrielle got him back. He was Al Holden, last played by Nathaniel Marston, until they killed off Al and made NM Michael McBain. Always used to find it funny that Gabby never changed Al's name, considering it was Cord's stepfather's name.

  • OLTL decided to kill off Al Holden. But the fans were outraged, as Al & Marcie were a bigger supercouple than the show had ever realized. Too late to reverse Al's death, the producers had Al's dead stepmother Luna convince Al to inhabit Michael McBain's body, and get Marcie to fall for Michael (who was kind of a bastard before that). Afterward, Al's soul stayed in Michael's body permanently, and his memories as Al were erased. Thus, the same two actors stayed on OLTL as a couple.

  • @ShutEmDownNow Yeah but let's talk about OLTL 1987. Not crap from 2003. That was a rather horrible period. This is supposed to be about Tina's trial and baby Al, not his romance years later with the plus sized lady!

  • @applcinamn no the last person to play Al was Chris Stack, he replaced Marston because Marston was acting like a psycho in a cocaine induced haze.

  • @entertainme3000 Chris Stack played Michael McBain. He never played Al Holden as Al Holden was killed off and Nathaniel Marston was morphed into Michael McBain before Stack took over the McBain role.

  • @applcinamn They did, actually. Don Alonzo was a friend of Max's from Argentina, so he and Gabrielle named Al after him.

  • @earlymid90schild Gabrielle didn't name her child because she turned him over to Tina when he was born. Tina named him Al after Al Roberts, Cord's stepfather who had recently passed away. She also said it in the courtroom. Max didn't even know he had a son until this moment.

  • @applcinamn I know, I meant once they got him back, they kept the nickname Al but changed the full name from Albert to Alonzo to honor Max's friend Don Alonzo, who had also recently passed away.

  • huh, Vivian from DAYS OF OUR LIVES! hahah, cool;D

  • Thank you for posting this. Does anyone have the next scene when Max confronts Gabrielle about baby Al.

  • Andrea was great. She helped define One Life to Live's Heyday!!! I love her and Dorian!!!

  • Andrea Evans was the one and only Tina!

  • Isn't that Louise Sorel, who did she play on here again...

  • Louise was Judith Sanders as her daughter Kate was future Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross.

  • @nightowlchad yeah we all know that. I'm not a DH fan though, and Kate was on so many things before OLTL and between OLTL and DH!

  • Thank you

i AM GLAD YOU POSTED THIS!! iF YOU COULD GET MORE tINA THAT WOULD BE GREAT

    GINA

  • Thank you...thank you...thank you for posting these gems. Tina is my favorite soap character ever and Andrea Evans portrayed her perfectly. Did you guys know that Robert S. Woods (Bo) said OLTL was at it's best when they sent Tina over the falls. I could not agree more. I hope you post more Tina/Gabrielle scenes. I really wanna see Eterna episodes. I was able to get some Tina episodes including Argentina and the Lighthouse.

  • @mooki33 He wasn't even on during that time period! He was wrapping up a stint on Days of Our Lives. And he didn't immediately return to OLTL! So he must've heard through the grapevine. Though I don't doubt at all it was the best back then!

  • This Tina is gorgeous.

  • Almost of all the Tina's were gorgeous (except for Kristen Vigard (substitute 1981) and Marsha Clark, 1985). But bring me back in time. Love the days where Andrea Evans ruled and seeing Shelly Burch...wow!

  • i didntt realize there were two other actresses who played the role other that Andrea, Karen Witter and the last chick that had the role (i forget her name) So was that when AE left to go to "young and the restless"? Well hands down she was without a doubt the best (and ONLY) Tina!!!

  • Andrea played the role from 1978 - 81 and had a substitute and when they brought the character back in 1984 she was played by Kelli Maroney while AE was on "Young and the Restless"

  • So there were six actresses who played the role? Wow, i had no idea...well i didnt start watching OLTL until around 1987 and i've been off and on since she left the show in the early 90's...

  • Actually it was seven actresses. Two were temps in between both Andrea stints. The list goes in order Andrea Evans (1978 - 81 1985 - 90) Kristen Vigard (temp. 1981...who later played Joy O'Neill from 1984 - 1985), Kelli Maroney (1984), Marsha Clarke (1985), Nancy Frangione (temp. 1985), Karen Witter (1990 - 94) and Krista Tesreau (1994 - 96)

  • wow, you're good! :) thanx COV!

  • What is funny is that most of these actresses had prior soap experiences and this was Andrea and Karen's first daytime role. Kristen, Marsha & Krista were on Guiding Light. Kelli was on Ryan's Hope and Nancy was on All My Children and played the notable villianess Cecile on Another World.

  • yea i remember krista as mindy on gl...she wasnt that good on there either i perferred kimberly simms in that role (i think that was her name) but anyway i never heard of any of them other chicks before...i wish there was more classic OLTL clips from those days on here!!!

  • Actually I liked Krista. She was hilarious and spunky on GL, while Kimberley was growing up as Mindy. But for a spoiler that Krista auditioned for Blair (another former GL actress Kassie Depaiva) but they didn't forget about Krista to portray Tina.

  • @nightowlchad Well I personally despised her as Tina and nobody else really cared all that much for her either. OLTL fired her!

  • @GETOSUPASTAR well Krista stunk during her period on OLTL so I don't know why the hell you'd like to see her. Andrea is the true Tina. But Karen Witter also did alright!

  • @imachildofthe80s8089 thats not what i said...but just to see how they looked in the role im curious to see the other faux Tina's...

  • @nightowlchad But still Andrea is the best Tina and more recognizable and she played Tina during a more fun and more better time era and theme to OLTL. By the time Krista arrived, this show had sickened me and I had grown disillusioned.

  • @collectionofvideos yep I know all that!

  • @nightowlchad that's not very nice to say. You don't have to be sexy to be on a soap opera. Soaps are about storytelling not about sex. You misinterpret the whole concept of soap operas altogether

  • I am so happy to find these clips of Tina!

Andrea Evans was the BEST Tina. I hope there will be a lot more.

  • more clips from the late 80's anything with tina or gabby would rock! please lol

  • tina is on her way back to llanview played by andrea evans very soon

  • Great stuff!...I really miss Tina...I can only hope that soaps today can live up to 1/2 of what they were back then....I love the lawyer grilling Tina in these scenes...His name slips my mind though

  • That's Herb Callison, played by Tony Call. He was Dorian's ex-husband and Cassie's stepfather. He ended up adopting her, her name changed from Cassie Reynolds to Cassie Callison.

  • @applcinamn Cassie Renaldi, not Reynolds.

  • @entertainme3000 When she was introduced as a teenager, it was as Cassie Reynolds, likewise "David Reynolds"...the Renaldi name was revealed later. You can google it to confirm but I do remember it as I was watching back then.

  • I started watching OLTL in "85" at the age of 8. I started watching with my mom. OLTL was the BOMB in the 80's and early 90's. No other soap was more entertaining than it was. I was so in love with Tina, Gabielle and Deliah. I think it was the hair LOL! That 80's soap hair was sexy as hell. I still watch OLTL, not as good as it was back then but still a good show.

  • i agree...maria was my girl too...i wish i could find scenes with her and tina...it was SO campy and over the top, but you gotta love it! and my fav was 'tinas theme', i almost forgot about that...how everytime she said or did something delciously fierce they played that music for her "doommmmm duh doommm...doommmm duh doommmm"! LOL love it!!!! i could watch these clips all day...

  • @SnyderFarm07 Not a good show at all. You may as well watch straight up porn!
