  • shan txi chizhn?

  • that cake looks soooo gooodd *drools* ;D

  • cool but you cant eat it thumbs up if you agree :-)

  • very beautiful cake...how did you cover the cake with the suger....

  • very beautiful cake...

  • Those roses are ugly

  • really simple, but this cake is good, probably better than any other cake youve made

  • I hate the pretending part!

  • lol those 'roses' look terrible

  • So true :) Hee hee. My friends and I baked a cake yesterday... it tasted so yummy!!!! But we couldn't get the frosting that smooth...

  • Chalk is edible??

  • @135Anju .... well it does say NON-TOXIC ... LOL

  • Fondant doesn't taste as good and it grosses me out that people's hands have to be all over it. Buttercream tastes better and the roses look prettier when they're piped with buttercream. I don't know why fondant is so popular. Old fashioned buttercream is the best.

  • @peekaboots01 fondant is popular because its easy to work with and also for big cakes, especially those that are used for later dates, fondant is best for keeping the fresheness of the cake. Fondant = gross....Buttercream > Fondant

  • @Thepianofreak17 there are excellent recipes i have found that actually make tasteful fondant, i know how bad manufactured fondant tastes, but this recipe is good and if u search how to make fondant on youtube u will find it made by howcast.. Btw i play piano as well :)

  • Add conffectioner sugar as you go to thicken back..

  • Fondant tastes horrible so I do not use it, if you buy an icing and it is thin what is a good way to thicken it back up?

  • @Thepianofreak17 ... you can make "rolled buttercream frosting" .. similiar to fondant in texture ... meaning "rollable" but a bit stickier. But will taste will buttercream. I agree fondant isn't that great. As far as "buying icing" ... I don't recommend it. It is way better to make it homemade. It will taste so much better :))

  • I made a similar cake but I just used buttercream icing instead of fondant, it tastes better!

  • a really great video, inspiring!

  • Chalk... Really? Other than the host of the show, who eats chalk?

  • @qpceo ... kids? LOL

  • Why are cooking ladies so catty??

  • do you have to use piping gel or is there something else please let me know im making a cake this saturday and am using the glittery stufff

  • @msblayke just try using corn syrup, water and icing sugar.. thats what she said the gel is made from.. you could also ( depending on the colour of the glitter and the colour of the icing) use a thin layer of icing made from just water and icing sugar..( as a kind of glue over the fondant) or my other suggestion ( i am just guessing so if it doesn't help don't shoot me !! ) not use fondant.. and use butter cream .. u can also get edible glitter gels. She couldve done the roses better...

  • @msblayke You could try brushing with very little water. Too much water, and it will melt the sugar. The water will also give the fondant a sheen when it dries.

  • The cake look waaaaay too sweet

  • ha i agree!! all of their videos are like that!!! wilton should be ashamed...

  • i think its so funny to watch though. ROFL. the blonde always seems annoyed by the other one xD

  • fondant doesn't look very delicious...and they're eating chalk?!

  • @PinkSportOvertim3 um wow listen to the video, first of all fondant is like edible clay sweet and tough. and they dont EAT the chalk its a short cut to making edible flowers. so they would take the fake flowers and chalk and remove it from the cake

  • very good!

    :)

  • Fondant is disgusting! It tastes like plastic!

  • @TheJackabee how u know what plastic taste like u eat it as a meal or something

  • @TheJackabee it doesnt if its homemade.

i make a marshmallow fondant, and its great. the store bought kind, i do have to agree sucks..:l

  • SHE KEEPS INTERUPPTING HER....LIKE SHUT UP LADY ARE YOU THE ONE MAKING THE CAKES?

  • i love that woman..!! i am from Ecuador i wish she could teach me what she does :)

  • OMG look at the rock on her her hand 2:27

  • @kazandnuni although i dont know who would want to buy that for her :/

  • marshmallow fondant tastes awesome and if you add chocolate chips it makes chocolate fondant that tastes just like tootsie rolls

  • This reminds me of the current betty crocker kitchen youtube series. Old-fashioned, annoying and the presenters hate each other (one of which is also useless in the video)

  • @MeetEmma ahaha this is funny. They don't hate each other do they?

  • UMMM Wwhy in the hell is she dusting those flowers with actual chalk? I almost wanna bet that aint food safe? For those that don't know better, you can always buy some petal dust. Never put chalk on a food item or anything that will be on a food item. She's bonkers!

  • @am2452

    Chalk is edible.

It's just calcium carbonate - it's used in antacid tablets.

  • what are those crystal looking things on cake called and how do you get them to stick to cake?

  • Okay so the lady's rose looks like shit. My question is, how do you make one to look like the end product? lol

  • Hello! This ideas are excelents! and I have a question...???? what is the price the this cake if you have to sell??? (i Hope that you understand me!! I'm learning english

    I hope your response!

    Thank you!

  • Wilton needs to hire a new presenter.

  • Wilton Fondant tastes like Bug Spray smells. Satin Ice, Fondex, Pettinice and homemade all taste good.

  • @carrottop5401 ooo definitely and SO worth the few extra bucks.. the fondant wont be left on the plates!

  • very nice work, thank you

  • WHOA! This video is like total old-fashioned.

    See what they're wearing.

  • FYI: She states the mat is "non-stick". Not true. I use this mat and you have to use a dusting so it doesn't stick.

  • hey guys can anyone tell me if there is another way to make fondant without marshmallow?

  • @mazeightysix use gelatine.

here's a recipe for the rolled fondant, replace spaces with full stops :

    allrecipes co uk/recipe/8413/rolled-fondant-icing aspx

  • @zombieravens thanx allot x

  • fondant is easy to work with but tastes like poo :)

    its a pretty cake though!

  • The Wilton Fondant tastes like poo but if you can try it try Satin ice and it has a very nice taste and it not very strong!

  • but does fonadant taste good??

  • well, I made the simple marshmallow fondant last week and it tastas fabulous! (if you don't mind lots of sweetness)

  • RETRO ???

  • I really love this cake! It's simple but elegant!

  • haha the blonde lady keeps interuppting the other lady!!!

  • They crack me up. It kind of seems like they hate each other and are having to play nice for the camera :P

  • @medicasali What are you talking about? It did not look that way to me.

  • @medicasali that is so funny they sound like my dang family!!!!

  • @asianchick370 How is she interrupting when she is the one doing the demonstration?

  • @adriannippy Ummm, did you watch the video?

  • the sparkling white sugar is DISCONTINUED

NO LONGER AVAILABLE on the wilton website! this sucks!

  • i like this. It is simple to make and it still looks nice. I would probly make my cake with Buttercream and then do the roses in Fondant. I think it is much easier. I would also decorate the cake with the little crystal sprinks. That makes it look nice to so you don't have to worry about having the cake look all smooth. It hides the mistakes.

  • love it

  • Yay! I'm gonna go make it...

  • oooh that looks really good :)
