  • how do i have drum sounds if the program is off.... and when i have it synced when i press the key of the keyboard it has that sound and the drum sound from the mpc on the key of the keyboard at the same time

  • @bizmarkie507... okay i just did everything...then i selected the instrument i wanted to record from my keyboard....when i was finished...i played it back...the pattern was recorded correctly but it wasnt the instrument i selected...

  • @QuiteFranklyTNE was a different instrument playing the pattern you recorded? if that was the case try switching the midi cables in the back of the mpc (change 1 to 2, a to b)

if that didnt work let me know

  • hey i am doing what ur saying but my keyboard is playing the drums and the keyboard sound at the same time how can i change that?

  • @joneboogy select Pgr: at the bottom center of the display screen and change it to OFF

  • fuckin sick man

  • i have a question:

the juno is not midi in this exemple you don't record it ?! but it seems to be a juno 106..

    why ?

(your sound got a good vibe...thanks)

  • That last synth sound is dope!! I've also been working on similar Miami Vice style beats. I have been investigating a move from ableton to mpc1000 and old synths... this was a very helpful tutorial cheers!!!

  • @rofea cheers man. i like creating midi files in Reason and exporting them into the MPC then midi syncing synths to play them. pretty fast and efficient way to get some serious basslines

  • coool video man

  • Does This Hook Up To Speakers Or What???.....And How DO i

  • @DynamicVonn yeah the only way to hear sound with what im using is to plug the main outs on the mixer into speakers. and how do you what?

  • Nice tune

  • @DJOnesNzeroS thank you

  • When you reload a project, how do you male sure your presets from the synths reload as well?

  • @StarBoyJonesProds the mpc1000 only records what notes to play, you have to reload the particular patch on the synth itself.

  • @bizmarkie507

Hey, first of all, thanks a lot for the video! I'll have a little question. I'm not a very skillful piano player, and I was wondering if recording only audio (insted of midi) into the mpc would be a good solution? I mean, Let's suppose I want to play some chord progressions, and I'll record every chord separently, then I just play the chords with pads, do you think it's possible to obtein good results this way?

  • @KaersonTV yes, i did that for a song i wrote once. recorded individual chords into the mpc, trimmed them individually, set them to individual pads and recorded the sequence i wanted by hitting the pads in real time. its very effective.

  • @bizmarkie507

Ok :) that's what I though, MPC is a very flexible tool, thanks ;)

  • thanks, this definitely helped me figure this out. really think you could've made a better sound with that mopho, though =P

    @mrfarrock15

I think his audio is all going into a mixer, the mpc is only recording and sending midi control signals

  • shits ill

  • Audio?

  • helpful, thanks! thought the song was not bad too

  • @808quake thank you

  • With the keyboards that you have, will they play more than one channel at once? I got a MO 8 and I just use different channels to do the same thing that you did, all on one board. Good explanation though

    Ted Twis

  • @beatrocka5 hmmm that could very well work, unfortunately i dont have access to my synths at the time to try this out! will keep this is mind thank you

  • so u need 2 midi cords going from mpc to keyboard and from keyboard to mpc?no audio ?

  • nice beat! very moody..are you using quantize?

  • when i recorded the beat i played the pads in real time but used the time correction feature to tighten it up. thank you for the comment

  • @MPCSENBK your welcome. Im not an expert just stumbled across figuring something out. the 3b 4b 5b etc are different midi channels. most synths with midi capabilities have up to 16 different midi channels, so the mpc has midi 1-16a and 1-16b incase you want to use whichever one you'd like.

  • how did you sync the third keyboard?

  • @bigsean03 It wasn't synced i was playing that in real time.

  • I'm searching for a good midi-keyboard. Is there some keyboard that you can recommend?

    Thanks in advance.

  • sick beat

  • haha, I like the miley sticker. I am sure this tutorial would be helpful if I knew anything about creating music.

  • @daymont lol

  • GOD BLESS YOU!

question: is it a midi "handshake?" because when I midi my korg to the mpc, it only lets me record the sound from the korg via the mpc pads. I midi them first, right? then go to a sequence and change to midi, press record/play and then play the korg keys and nothing happens. thats whats been frustrating me. any advice?

  • @returninginsurgent I used to have this problem as well. Make sure the midi channel set on your korg is the same midi channel set on your sequencer. I do not have a korg so I'm unaware of how many midi channels it has or how to change it on the synth itself, but lets say the midi channel on your korg is set to 4. then you have to set the midi on the mpc to 4A or 4B (depending on which one you are plugged into) if youre still having problems let me know

  • @bizmarkie507 thanks. working it out now..will update.
