Sweet man I wanted to do the frankenstrat paintjob on mine too coz I'm a huge VH fan. I'm using stock humbuckers on this. Seymour duncans would definitely sound better but I'd just put them in a better guitar tbh

Yea its a good guitar for beginners. The neck and middle pickups pretty much suck and are noisy as hell but the bridge humbucker, which is what I use in most my vids sounds great in my opinion. Play it, get the feel of it and check it out.

Actually for the price, this guitar is unbeatable I think but yea it still sucks major ass next to expensive ones lol. To get the best possible sound, a good amp is much more important than ur guitar. Effects and stomp boxes also help a lot. Always use only the bridge humbucker on this guitar for any sort of distortion. The other pups are too noisy and thin sounding. I use a line 6 toneport to get the amp models and effects I like. The toneport comes with a software called Gearbox that u can use to share presets online. I used the preset for this song but made a few changes. Just tell me if u want em =)

Not all strat copies suck. I mean i have a kramer(KS-400). idk the year i think it was 1989. It has a strat body. But it would school a strat anyday. It tore up my friends start because of the wood type, pickups and other stuff. But yeah most strat knockoffs arent that good.

No offense to you or rckrdude, but that isn't the greatest built guitar. It is a Strat copy, and copies of famous guitars tend to be pretty low quality. I'm just saying. I hate copies of anything because I hate piracy and how Chinese people rip off everything that comes out here (no offense to them.)

cool, although i have to say, it does still sound like a distorted single coil, especially comparing it to the original backing track, it's similiar but not the same tone. any humbucker pups should fix it.

if you want to get a close to humbucker sound but still love single coils, just get a P-90.

Thanks! And about the tone, its a preset with some slight changes. Just use the tone library to find the welcome to the intro riff and adjust the settings a lil bit according to ur guitar/setup. The preset does most of the work for you :)

My God. You are simply amazing at guitar. This is the perfect cover. Easily the best of this song I've watched here. If u want to be very picky, u can kinda work a little on those 2 bends in the second solo. But an awesome cover nonetheless with spot on tone. 5 stars!

no. I recorded it directly into my PC using the Toneport UX2. Unless you have a high end mic setup, you usually get better sound this way.
