With all respect of american peoples. i'm european and i think that this player (Freddy Adu)he can play well only in American Championship. For we European he is not other that a dirty heel of shit of the shoes of the best Europeans Soccer. Therefore you must be shut up Americans the soccer is not for you. EUROPE Rule the Soccer in The World Team Club adn nationals
its true that some of the european leagues are more advanced than america's but to say soccer is not for us is naive. The past few world cups we have proven ourselves contenders...
I think he has all the makings of a World Class player, and potentially, America's greatest ever player. He's still only young and has probably come as far as he can go in the American leagure though. The best thing he could do now is get a move to Holland, in PSV, Feyenoord or Ajax, get some European experience and the chance to play in a top-class Dutch youth set up. Three years from now, he'll be setting the world alight in La Liga or The Premiership.
Ah... No good, I gave 4 star for good video but hes not a good player, most of the goals/tricks were from luck and he is playing in the "MLS" which we all know why that isnt a great thing...being the best player in the MLS means you are a normal player in any other league haha
He's a great prospect but atm he's playin in a third rate league. He needs to play a couple seasons in somewhere like French Ligue 1, then I reckon he'll be good enough to play in Premiership or La Liga
for ever adu.. there are millions of kids.. 8 to 18 yrs old in south america, europe, africa that can emmulate those touches and score with left/right foot.. compilations are misleading because they tend to only show goals that have gone in.. am sure anyone who filmed their sunday league game and show only the goal scoring bit can be said to be the next big thing
It's true that MLS doesn't prove anything, but saying that this kid doesn't got skill is just stupidity, he got great ball control, can keep his head cool under presure and he's fast, its also true that he would get "out muscled" but for pitty sake he's 16! if he continue to develop rapidly, i think he got some serious potential as a player
good player, and more productive than Theo Walcott i agree- who's breaking through to the Arsenal starting line-up atm. I'd welcome him to the Arsenal squad!
if rooney was playing in the MLS when he was 16 he'd probably have scored a good 70 goals a season. considering he scored against arsenal in his debut
What's funny with all the comments I see here is he's ONLY 18. How many other 16,17, and 18 year olds are getting the experience he's getting. Your right he may not be able to dominate the European leagues right "now" but that says ALOT about his skill set that some people even think he could at his age. Give him time and he'll show the world his worth. Will he be the next Pele? NO!!!! But I do think he'll be a world class player.
Looks like his right foot gets a lot of work. I mean talk about one footed!! He needs a lot of work and scrapping past defenders in the MLS is hardly a sign of being a future star.
i agree maxbench, those defenders look like sunday leaguers. i can see madrid shelling out a good 20 million for him, flopping and he'll be at bolton before you can say vernon kay
Ok he's fast but let's be honest the MLS isn't the toughest league in the world. In the Prem, he'd get muscled off the ball, has anyone seen him pass? I must have missed those clips.
he looked pretty good to me, if a youngster over in here in england scored goals like that we'd be pretty psyched. he is only sixteen, and breaking into europe?? how the fuck can he do that in america??
Still way overrated the way wayne rooney michael owen broke on to the european scene he hasn't got the quality not being disrespectful or anything he jus wont b able to cut it! he'll b a very good player though
Finally a compilation that shows that Adu is not just party tricks and dribbling. He can pass, cross, shoot... He has great vision and understanding of the game for such a young lad.
yep, but he shouldnt go to real, ppl might think he a sell out =/ look at real, they lost to barcelona didnt they =P! he should go to some italian league.. juventus for instance!

Your not making any sense. Jsut because he played in MLS he can`t break into any of the top European leagues? That is just stupid ranting.

I'll give five more years until Adu is named the best player in Europe and you can bank that.
