  • should be an easy laydown for a player of Antonius's calibre

  • bad call

  • If patrcik had AJ or AQ ...Ivey would have been f8cked!!!

  • This is not trapping and the newbies likcking Ivey's balls... makes me laugh...

  • So he outplays the guy on a cooler board.... and then traps him by BETTING INTO him? Some of these youtube video titles are a joke lol.

  • what do wel earn by watching this video:

    1 ivey is hte best

2 lederer is a disgrace to the pokerworld

  • @assimmyboy what do i learn by looking at your comment:

    1. you are an idiot

    2. you are wasted

    3. you are foreign

  • HOWARD LEDERER SHUT THE FUCK UP!

  • exactly NINE black chips. not ten

  • @michfish75 250000$ bet, ur right, 9*25000 = 250000, how did i not get this?!

  • @michfish75 i clearly see 10 black chips and $25k each that's 250k. might want to look again.

  • this announcer is irritating

  • He can't beat much on the river there though...

  • I wonder what Ivey said to Antonius at 9:46...

  • If Ivey had had a hand like JK and played this hand exactly the same way and then made that huge bet on the river and Antonius folded then he would have outplayed him

  • wheres the pillow at

  • He didn't outplay OR trap him. It's called a cold deck.

  • holy hell, i can't even imagine how sick antonius feels right there

  • commentators: TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS WOW

  • this isnt a football match guys ! Easy ! wow.. Commentators are so annoying

  • sick game

  • outplay? trap? new to poker :P?

  • @Seanchoops It is a trap, and he did outplay him. You don't have to check to trap someone, and Ivey's riverbet polarizes his range to a bluff or full house. He got Antonious to call.

  • I wna be phil Ivey

  • How is Antonius putting Ivey on a bluff here?

  • @spacetraffic These top cash players who have tons of experience against one another play on a different world, where their thought process can become insanely multilayered, leading to frequent opportunities to outplay your opponent or, in some unfortunate cases like this hand, end up leading a top player like Patrik to outplaying and outthinking himself.

  • Doesnt antonious have 3 AAA? isnt that better than 3 JJJ? im newbie at poker sorry if im missin something

  • @Dam1en420 Ivey has a full house, Jacks full of aces

  • @Dam1en420

ivey has trip j's and pair of aces , he has a full house , the other guy has trip aces

  • @Dam1en420 Oh I see so the other pair doesn't have to come from one of your cards.. Thanks guys

  • @Dam1en420 Yes, but Ivey has Trip Jack's and 2 AA's from the flop so Ivey has a full house which beats 3 Aces.

  • Also, this is Patrick playing bad, rather than Phil playing good. He should know his trips are no good, especially against a solid player like Phil. Jesus.

  • The title of this video should be, "Phil Ivey outFLOPS Patrick Antonious."

  • @normalpsychology Ivey didn't outflop Antonius, since he had the best hand preflop as well.

  • 10 black chips he means

  • @eliekhalil 9 black chips you mean

  • @vlada92serbia 10 black chips you mean

  • i like how the commentator says "the pot is only 12,000 dollars" Shit, what i could do with 12k. :/

  • Comment removed

  • @jakderka There's more than one way to trap someone (ie: not just checking). The fact that this comment has got so many likes makes me so happy as it proves how many people don't understand poker and I can take money from. It's still a trap!

  • As amazing as Ivey is, when you flop A full boat, it's hard not to outplay someone.

  • if you play?__ Poker Texas Hold em watch my video and help me out

  • The commentary is laughable .. "Phil Ivey the Master" !! It's a cooler hand, just played at high stakes. Same thing happens in a 2/5 game when it's a flopped full-house vs trips.

  • @RealSoundNow He's not referring to the situation, he's just commenting on Ivey "the master" who's decision it is. And Ivey made the best possible bet and got called (by frankly a hand that can only beat a bluff). I've seen far,far worse coolers, Ivey played it perfectly to get a call.

  • Its impossible to outplay AND trap at the same time. Somebody need to learn POKER first before posting videos.

  • a big factor that played into this hand that wasn't mentioned in the comments was that there was a prop bet that Ivey wouldn't show an Ace in the entire cash game, I forgot how much. This played a huge part in this hand.

  • @FiveBettor I didn't know about that! I guess that's part of the reason he took so long on the river bet. Another factor was that Ivey was majorly stuck before this

  • way to donk off your stack Antonius.

  • bit of an anti climax at 7:50

  • um wrong title for the video, cooler plain and simple

  • @MrRivaz not really he only had ace 10, he could of got away from it, if he had ace jack it would of been a cooler

  • Dam call clock allready!!!!!!!!!!

  • @DAQUAN88 why would u want to call clock? let the guy talk himself into a bad call.

  • when was this tournament, or whats the name of it? could someone answer to me!

  • @VirtualXIIX Million dollar cash game. And as the title would suggest its a cash game not a tournament

  • @VirtualXIIX this isnt a tournament, its a cash game you noob

  • [ ] the guy who wrote the title has a clue about poker

  • Comment removed

  • outplaying doesn't always mean bluffing, it can also mean maximizing the profits of your hand showdown value

  • noob comments, he trapped patrick antonius by giving him the right odds to call and removing his folding equity on the turn

  • noob comments

  • Very nice "trap".

  • this guy uses the johnny chan the master line

  • What a donkeycall :D

  • @TheH0lyGrail

I agree that Phil Ivey did not outplay Patrik here it's simply a cold deck situation.

However that been said your definition of outplaying someone is wrong. That's not the only way to out-play someone. There is hundreds of way to outplay someone not just making them fold a better kicker.

  • @RicktheStick78 he could only beat a bluff or kk on the river though. aj aq ak jj qq all beat him. so why call?

  • HOW is this "outplayed" If anyone was in Ivey's seat- they'd would have "outplayed" patrick too- ya fucking donks.

Out played means when both players have a pair of aces- and the one with the lower kicker makes the one with the higher kicker fold.

    learn your poker.

  • patrik should've raised the river

  • OMFG. the commentator is fucking annoying.

  • @ 8.00 - "He Calls, and Ivey will actually be ahead" Durr!! The poms cant commentate poker is what i think!

  • @searching1383x

He meant ahead in terms of money for the session. Phil Ivey had to re-buy earlier.

  • Why Antonius reraise the flop? Really something I cannot understand. He only outplays KQ, K10 straight draws or a bluff. Cannot outplay a flush draw or an A-x. And a bluff is good to call in this spot (really difficult it comes out in a bad beat). On other side reraising he risks to be committed with a lot of hands that beat him and have to go on, cry and call to the end. anyone have an explanation for Antonius moves?

  • @futuroleghista ok, didint see there was another in the hand, that gives sense to Antoius Reraise on flop.

  • Comment removed

  • @killmcc (Presumably they're playing lowball)

  • These titles are so fucking retarded, how did he trap patrick it's just std play and against ivey very agg player I don't think he made the right call but probabyl had too.

  • "just a little bit of plastic" I'm pretty sure those chips aren't plastic. haha

  • i dont get why doesnt he win with trip aces ?? why does 3 jacks beat 3 aces in this? someone please tell me

  • @killmcc Its a full house against a trip Aces.

    JJJAA against AAAJQ

  • @killmcc Full house jacks full of aces beats trip aces.

  • @redhidus I think it was a trap... what could patrick beat with A10? Nothing else than a bluff, because ivey would never bet so much with less than AK there.

  • Phil was afraid of AA, QQ, AQ, AJ when thinked long at river.

  • @lichbanme he was only afraid of AQ, since AJ has extreme little chance with his JJ, patrik definitely had an A, if he had AA he wouldnt have reraised but called the bluffs, QQ had no chance after a raise, patrik reraise, then a call from ivey = next bet u have to fold QQ, and he didnt, so only card phil was worried is AQ and slim chance AJ, since patrik was definitely had a hand between AK-A10 but more likely around AQ or AK for being so brave

  • Phil was afraid of AA, QQ, AQ, AJ

  • This is absolutely unbelievable...

  • Phil made a full house jacks over aces (3 jacks and 2 aces) patrick made 3 of a kind aces with a queen kicker. Patrick was sure Ivey didn't have king 10 because Ivey raised whenever he could and with no flush on the board, he knew he was beat by only an ace with a better kicker (or 5) or by jacks.

3 aces is never easy to fold, Patrick deserves some credit for losing the minimum 'till the cards were turned over. Most players would've gone bust.

  • so can someone tell me how phil won this pot with trip jacks when buddy had trip aces?

  • @codered465 Are u kidding me? Phil Ivey had a full house, Antonius trip aces...

  • @codered465 embarrassing....

  • @codered465 jacks are wild.

  • @grass088 Lmao brilliant

  • @codered465 r u serious asking this question? it is not a set of jacks, it is jacks full

  • @codered465 because it was jacks full, phil had a full house 3 jacks and 2 aces

  • man that commentator got it wrong a few times. "Ivey with trips" and then when ivey bets on the river we get "bets out on the flop"

  • If a ten comes at the river, Antonius would win am i right ?

  • @Cinemadaptation Yes. Full House - Aces Full of Tens.

  • Antonius sux in this hand he was bitten by so many hands but somehow he but Ivey on pure bluff

  • Comment removed

  • Anyone else notice the editing at 7:57??? Maybe they cut out some of the deliberating but damn, that was weird. It's like Antonius chest just shrunk in... I think thats a tell...

  • This was the largest pot of the day and can be a symbol of what happens when you are running really bad. Anyway i got my free bankroll from Pokerfrik website so i don't really care about loosing :D

  • he had a boat not trips... :D

  • lol PHIL IVEY AN ABSOLUTE MASTER!

im a master too when i flop a full house

  • @flip92

well said. hitting a 1 in 137 while the other guy hits a weaker 1 in 74 at the same time has nothing to do with skill. i'm more interested in watching pros win money with garbage cards than in watching this luckfest

  • on the flop, how is ivey got 77% with trip Js against trip As?

  • @lobzdik He had a full house

  • @lobzdik lol ! its not trip jacks, its a full fuckin house.

  • @lobzdik antonius still has 4 outs still he can hit one of three tens for a higher full house or the last ace for four of a kind

  • math fail at 7:10

  • @hummaa1000 yea there real man i got mine like a few weeks ago

  • Lesson of the day: good reason to muck A 10 preflop after a raise.

  • @jebussaves1

    just no

  • @gonegonego right..you go all in instead with 10 3 just because they are suited.

  • he was trapping antonius by bettng out at a hand a regular player would slowplay, trapping means fooling your opponent into thinking he has the best hand it doesnt always mean check check check.

  • didnt really outplay him, just got very very lucky like incredibaly lucky, like so lucky you may never see anything like that again on televised poker ladies and gents

  • Lol i just can't believe i really got 50 $ free from PokerFrik website :D

  • well it's the 6th nuts - AA, AJ, A5, AQ and QQ beats Phil.

  • @jimbuckleybarrett

I'm afraid you're wrong there. AA can't beat Phil as Patrick is holding an A. The video is like 10mins long, I thought you would have noticed that

  • @MPH84 I stand corrected - I should have spotted that. COFFEE TIME! :)

  • @MPH84 But Ivey doesn't know that...soo AA is a possible hand that beats him from his stand point!

  • @MPH84 fking idiot

  • @jimbuckleybarrett normally i wont put my opponent on AJ when i have JJ and the flop comes AAJ... ill treat it as the 5th nuts... putting ur opponent on AJ would be really really sick with such a flop... and it is hard to put ur opponent on QQ and sucking u out on the river... AQ would be a good possible hand

  • Outplays my ASS!@#$%^&*()

  • Lol @ Antonious twitching his nose

  • @bcheeseful

Its a question HOW MUCH to bet...

  • its not hard 2 "outplay" someone with 2nd nuts just wasting quad aces

  • @dimant 5th nuts...

  • @mousetrench

    true

  • uh phil.... its on you buddy. were all waiting

  • HE'S BEEN RALLIGATED!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @bcheeseful aggressive play IS a trap at time... if you know that a player is willing to bet with even the worst hand, you will be more willing to call. just saying

  • Качественный розыгрыш

  • 9:45 - Phil trying SO HARD not to break into a smile there

  • @LaileB22 Haha...Exactly, and you can even see Antonius glancing discretly at ivey's face, thinking something like : " What are you smiling for ? ".

  • Bad Video Description.

  • misleading title, no trap, just well played.

  • @ggnub100 lol, you're not very smart are you?

  • antonius couldnt wait to go hit a next line hahaha... look at them bug eyes

  • wtf hurry the f up!

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • he outs plays partik antonius? or patrik hit a cooler? To OUTPLAY SOMEONE I THOUGHT YOU HAD TO HAVE THE WORSE HAND??

  • @fliptthescript No...outplaying could simply be making the correct bets to make your opponent pay out the most.

  • @ggnub100, Peoples comments do make you laugh..

  • Can som1 explain to me how Ivey won? Arent the other dudes three Aces stronger than iveys Js?

  • @Kingpin745 iveys two js made a full house on the flop which beats three aces

  • @ggnub100 Ur mother is a poker donk

  • "It is actually 250.000 dollars. Twelve 25.000-chips". Lmao.

  • @Sulfarose

    lol ye..math wizz isnt he?

  • @Sulfarose it's 225.000 cause if you count it right it's really 10 black chips..:D

  • @TurkiyeBesiktas and how is 10x25.000 = 225.000? :P

  • I love it when noobs on the net leave comments saying what the pro's should have done. It kills me lol!!

  • Seriously why not just play potcontrol and call the flop, call the turn, and reevaluate on the river in antonius position. He could have gotten out of that pot cheaper. The flop raise is just nonsense, the only hand u wanna do that against is a flush draw or a weaker Ace. Imo calling flop and turn and call or fold the river, is the best line.

Not that well played Patrick, espacially on the flop.

  • @MAINMAN1984 a lot easier when you can see the cards isnt it. and like you said, he bet on the raised on the flop because there was a flush draw on the board. 2 clubs.

i think patrick called because its phil ivey, probably had a feeling he was getting bluffed.

  • @MAINMAN1984 a lot easier to analyse when you can see the cards isnt it. and like you said he raised iveys bet on the flop because there WAS a club flush draw on the flop. and he thought ivey missed his draw and was just trying to bully him off his hand. porbably got a feeling ivey was trying to bluff him.

antonius' hand is rather hard to get away from, stop commenting as if you would have done better.

  • Thats not plastic -.- xD

  • lol@video title

saying someone outplayed someone else when player A flops a boat and player B flops trips

  • @dalazshinobi lol@youtube commentors thinking they all ballin' and shiz and things and yeah.

  • Comment removed

  • Seems the eurotrash commentators just learned the game...

  • 12 black chips woulkd be $300,000...stupid announcer...

  • @kmcook01 soo u failed maths at school yeah?

  • 12 people have held A10 when someone else held JJ.

  • @kmcook01

    Shut the fuck up.

  • damm play money idiots who filmed this joke? its not even funny

  • 9:44 that smirk

  • The American commentators make it ALOT more exciting

  • This was the largest pot of the day and can be a symbol of what happens when you are running really bad. Anyway i got my free bankroll from Pokerfrik website so i don't really care about loosing :D

  • 3 1/2 minutes for Ivey to make the bet after the river!!!

It's stupid shit like this that has flooded over into the game of amateurs now, and makes them think they know how to play when they take a substantial amount of time. I hope soon there is a rule that you're only allowed one minute to make your play, or you fold!
