@SimpleGamingMedia maaaaybe around 1,80 GHz but u have to try try 1,72 first and use that for a time or run something that really does stress ur pc and heat it a little ! (;
i have a 2.2 ghz intel duo core. What should i oc it to without having to buy a new ac adapter or cooling fan? Also if i overclock and then restore my laptop to factory settings can i undo the overclock or is it permanent
hey i have the same CPU as you and i tryed to follow this video and i cant find how to get PLL control to work can you help me i would love to kick my comuter in to high gear for once. BTW is the change noticable or is it patchy and inconsistant
First you have to go to PLL setup and select the right clock generator (for me ICS 951446 worked). After you could go to PLL control and change the fsb. For me 2300Mhz was the maximum, otherwise the computer would crash. Also keep in mind that the temperature should not get too high or you could burn your computer, so 2100Mhz would be a safe overclock. The performance increase is probably few fps in games. Overclocked the HyperPI benchmark finished 10 seconds faster than with default clock.
I now have a new problem, clock gen only will let me see clocks, as my only option, i redownloaded it, same thing, and i cant change settings on it, i want to know what to get to get all the clock gen things you have on the screen
Are you sure you have the same processor and you went to PLL control after setting the clock generator? I personally don't keep my processor overclocked because the performance increase is not that noticeable and it reduces the laptop's battery life.
hey maxout on pll setup go to clock generator and find the correct code for your board and put it in then apply selection next go back to pll control and the sliders should be movable please go slow on overclocks and donot apply these setting to start when your pc starts until you know they are stable also if you can not find the correct code for your board ics954123 works for a good amount of boards used on a laptop tecra s2 and a desktop dg101gc board worked on both without problems
@DNTOUR hi im running a intel aspire 5741-a with intel hd graphics card a 133-350m prossesor @2.26ghz but clock gen only comes up with two options plz help!!!????
Had the same problem with the processor running too hot on my Acer TM 5720( Intel M2CD T7300). Solution: opened up the laptop and vaccumed everything, modifyed all air exhausts and intakes, bought a Noctura 120mm fan which i run on a 12v dc adapter, bolted to the bottom, 120mm intake hole straight through the plastic, which puts in about 54 ft2 of air/min( fucking storm wind!) at only 22dB! Now i run at about 20-27C at idle and 45-50 at max load! (Not as mobile as before though)
Nice idea. When this video was made, my laptop processor was running that hot, but like a month after I cleaned the inside of my laptop from all the dust and now it runs at about 55C on full load and 30C on idle. In my case, it was the dust that made the processor run so hot (of course the overclocking did too).
Any idea how to find the clock generator?mine's an acer aspire 5745G so i dont know which clock gen to select

Do you think I could overclock an Intel Core2 Duo T9600 running at 2.8GHZ to around 3.0GHZ or 3.2GHZ?

I used Camtasia Studio 6 for recording,
Clockgen for overclocking,
Hyper PI for benchmarking,
CPU-Z and RM CPU Clock Utility to monitor and view the specs...
