For single pillar type taps have a look at the Easytapsplitter, prevents the tap spinning in its fixing hole when lots of leverage is needed, as can often be the case, dont get caught out and damage everything else in the process!
You forgot to say what kind of faucet this is. It is a Waltec facemount tub and shower faucet. You have to know what brand of cartridge you need. There are over 30+ makes out there.

Use reseating cutter tool.
Use vaseline on threads.
Use active bleach on your grout to get rid of the stinking mould covering it.
