People say Megaman 8 was one of the worst... they need to stop listening to the cut-scenes and start listening to the music. I loved MM8, not because it was my childhood game, but because it was one of the most fun Megaman games. In fact, I would go as far as to say it was more fun than MM2.

lol i was playin megaman anniversary edition on my ps2 and i played megaman 8 and decided "I'm gonna learn to play this stage select song on piano by tonight!" so i sat down for like ten minutes and sounded it out and i got it in no time at all!
