When you punch the Blitz, there's a frame where you can royal block just before the Blitz's electricity attacks Dante as the attack connects. If you time it to that frame correctly, Dante's punch damage will count, and you'll be able to royal block the electricity.
I suggest spamming the style button after punching, then try to get the hang of it. That's what I did.
