2011 Ducati Diavel flat out top speed run

I love all of the speculation of how fast it went. I would like the answer to just one question, WHY IS IT THAT THE CAMERA IS NEVER ON THE SPEEDO WHEN ANY DUCATI HAS VID OF IT DOING A TOP RUN/ FLAT OUT? We never know how fast the damn bikes go!!! I guess they are to embarrassed to show how slow they really are...LOL!!!

Bikes are becoming something stupendous as if they are taken right out of a star wars movie. Accelerating upto hundreds of mph in moments and fitted with weird lights here and there! This one definately fits the bill.

I've done 150 indicated on my 955i Speed Triple and 170ish on my 1098, so I'd be willing to bet they easily hit 160+ depending on how the Diavel is geared.

@prix462 I've got a Diavel Carbon Red. If there was enough tarmac, it probably got up to around 155mph (estimated top speed based on gear ratios and the 240/45 tire). The real limitation is lack of wind protection. The wind blast gets bad as you go above 80 mph.  It'll be interesting to see if the bike was still pulling at redline, or if the wind blast was enough to keep it from hitting 10k in 6th.
