The guitar he is using is the same guitar he used in The Wings over America tour in 1976. The Red Wings sticker was given to him that night by a fan and he placed it on the guitar. I was there at the show and saw him do it. He used this same guitar to pen Yesterday.
I was told that this is the actual RH guitar that Paul originally used to write "Yesterday". Check out some archive photos and you'll see Paul holding this guitar. The Red Wings sticker was purchased the last time he was in Detroit. Paul also used an original semi-acoustic and the red ukelele that George gave to Paul as a gift during other parts of his concert.
This wasn't just another concert....this was a Once in a Lifetime for many of us fans. The crowd ranged from 5 to 80...with all singing along. Loved his tribute to George Harrison, John Lennon..and his stories about Clapton and Hendrix.. Every single person there was on the save wavelength...and Paul knew it. He played an amazing show...
I unfortunately had to sit next to Geoff Fieger and his hatefull wife who was just being obnoxious but we ended up changing seates to get waway from the,,,,,What a great show....I dont think he's ever done 1985 before ....Love that one!!!!!
I was there in sec 139 and i can say it was the best and most enjoyable concert i ever been to....and ive been to ALOT!....... One word for mr. sir Paul Mccartney... "EPIC"
TY Paul for still touring when you really dont have to... I just hope he comes back next year cause ill be there also ...Love the Beatles and Paul...
I was wondering what that was about. A right handed guitar with recently placed stickers in the left handed position. I noticed that at the show. I doubt it was his guitar. Who's was it then?

Wow, you must've had a great view! I was in the 11th row towards the left, and that night will never be forgotten by me. What a night. (:

@elamsbar - That was the ONLY disappointment for me at this show.
Otherwise, not only was it a phenomenal show, but one of the best nights out I've ever had. It's sure to stay with me for a long time.
