I only just started playing Sims because I was too young when it was released...I got Sims 1 Compete Collection dirt cheap and got Sims 2 + Glamour Life Stuff + Pets + Seasons. I can't play Sims 3 'cause my computer isn't good enough. :/

I love the endless gameplay options of Sims 1, as well as it's quirkiness and SIMplicity (like the joke there?).

I also love Sims 2 because of it's expansion packs, graphics and complexity.

Perfect Sims Game = Sims 1 gameplay, Sims 2 graphics, Sims 3 no-waiting

If you have Win XP all set, then use that. For compatibility reasons. I got it to work on my win 7 x64, but it took some work.

I must be one of the lucky ones. I've been running Sims 1 Complete Collection on my Win 7/64 Bit machine for ages with no issues at all. I installed it, it worked.:)

I've also discovered that I am having more fun with Sims 1 than I do with Sims 2. Haven't tried Sims 3 yet.

i only had sims 1 and unleased but i remember playing day after day over and over.... I really wanted the other expansions but i couldn't find them in any game store...Sims 2 and 3 are great in ways but they cant keep you playing for hours on end.....

I see your "Newbies" had a kid. Mine asked, but I didn't let them have one.

I am hooked on the original Sims. I think the sound F/X and voices were the best of all of them so far. Wish I could make these sounds work in my Sims 2.

And yes, I still have the complete Sims1 collection installed - And Sims2 as well. Love them both! Haven't tried Sims3 yet.

I agree that Vacation was the BEST Sims1 EP! Love Seasons & apt life in Sims2.

I hate the vacation thingy on here.. I visited a vacation spot, and then I guess your supposed to call to go somewhere else to go back to your hotel, but I said go home. And stupid thing didnt say I had to check out first it just makes you go home.?? Never went on vacation since. They work like community lots.
