Porsche use AWD, perfect traction in corners and perfect acceleration (physics), the PDK Porsche is 1s faster on a drag stip, ONE s with less power. Porsche have more g in corners than a ZR1, higher speed in corners ect.

I'd like to see a more even match-up such as a ZR-1 vs. this car. To be equally fair, whatever the money put into the 911/997, the ZR-1 should have the same budget. Both are awesome machines, but; this matchup was like a 'roid-boy in the gym vs an amatuer natural.

The vette was under full throttle. The 1st race you can literally hear the vette running through the RPMs at full throttle. The 2nd race his window was open so you cant tell if he is on the throttle or not. The owner of the ZO6 is a freind of mine and he confirmed that he was on the gas 100% until 160 the first race and till I hit the brakes on the 2nd race.
Keep in mind at the time of the race the Porsche was putting down approx. 750-800 HP vs. the ZO6 at 505 HP.
So who says the Porsche is modified? There are many videos on YouTube posted by professionals that show the same results both stock (the 505 vette). Vettes are North American JUNK. Bigger displacement has never worked.

the key is turbo. it's not naturally aspirated. So i'm sure we could get just as much out by using turbo. If it was a 3.5 N/A engine making 500+ hp, it would be very impressive.

Just send the Porsche to Protomotive and it will then smoke the Lingenfelter. Just look at VRAlexander's 996TT, no vette can touch it. He even has a 1000hp Z06, and the Porsche is faster.

stock for stock the z06 is a tenth or so second faster on the 1/4 then the 911 turno produce the same 3.7 for 0-60 so yes if the vette was modded he would have beaten it not spanked but beaten

Your an idiot. I love both of these cars, but the 997 comes with soo much more than just speed. You get one of the finest looking interiors, cutting edge electronics, superior build quality, and a status symbol. Not to mention that the 997 is much easier to live with every day. If I had the money I would get a 997TT for a daily driver, and a C6 Z06 for a track/autocross rat.
Whoever made this video really missed whatever point they were trying to get across. For example, the Vette is about $70K, stock. The Porsche is $126K, stock. Now, strap another $10K+ (guess) in upgrades onto the Porsche. "Ohh man, I wonder why the car that costs twice as much, with more power, is faster?..."
Even stock, the 911 is almost a full second faster from 0-60, so you could only expect it to blow it away if its tuned.
THe Vette would respond extremely well to upgrades though, so the amount of money spent on each car to get it to the same speed, is probably half for the vette.

Yeah, it probably would destroy the gear box, transmission, etc... but anyone who would twin turbo charge a C6 Z06 would support the whole set up and all that is necessary. Therefore, it would give a 911 Turbo a run for the money.

point is the porsche was modified tt and the vette was stock. i think the new zr1 vette will take it in a close race or the lingenfelter c6 z06 cuz they modified even though the zr1 comes stock with the super charger.

stock for stock the z06 is a tenth or so second faster on the 1/4 then the 911 turno produce the same 3.7 for 0-60 so yes if the vette was modded he would have beaten it not spanked but beaten

Your an idiot. I love both of these cars, but the 997 comes with soo much more than just speed. You get one of the finest looking interiors, cutting edge electronics, superior build quality, and a status symbol. Not to mention that the 997 is much easier to live with every day. If I had the money I would get a 997TT for a daily driver, and a C6 Z06 for a track/autocross rat.

Whoever made this video really missed whatever point they were trying to get across. For example, the Vette is about $70K, stock. The Porsche is $126K, stock. Now, strap another $10K+ (guess) in upgrades onto the Porsche. "Ohh man, I wonder why the car that costs twice as much, with more power, is faster?..."

Even stock, the 911 is almost a full second faster from 0-60, so you could only expect it to blow it away if its tuned.
THe Vette would respond extremely well to upgrades though, so the amount of money spent on each car to get it to the same speed, is probably half for the vette.
