what scale(s) are you using? How do you get that much room to play up and down the neck. Is it because you are using multiple positions of the same scale?
I am new to soloing, and the way you solo in this video is just my style. So good. I appreciate any tips you have too.
I played this solo using pentatonic scales and some pentatonic/modes variations, just it. To get more skills in to the neck, you should try to make improvisations using the all neck scale, identifying some nice patterns depending of neck region and scale.
When I bought this SG, I went to the shop with a LesPaul in mind. But after play a lot of LesPauls models, I was curious to play SG´s. I played one SG Standard for 2 minutes and it was enough to decide that it what I was looking for. For me, SG has some advantages over LP, like easy access to higher notes on the neck, good balance between sustain and weight, and his sound is more flexible and equilibrated than LP.The point is not money, but I would like to remember that SG is shipper than LP.
hi! great playing... what do you mean by "shipper"? Thanks for explaining, I'm not english nor I can find the "ship" word on my vocabulary with the particular meaning in this context. Thanks a lot for clarifying!
Who is your master? I guess it,s Eric Clapton! Very nice piece of music, and one of the longest guitar solo I,ve ever heard, too! I hope your band is as good as you are ;-)
Dude watching you jam out on that thing gets me goin before class everyday, you are the shit!! Would you recommend the SG as a versatile guitar for different genre's?
I can use my SG to play almost everything. You can not expect to get a single coil sound from an SG, but this is an old school guitar and for my taste it is very versatile.
Man that was AWESOME! You're great guitar player. I agree with D4N747 about the switching of pickups. It made very nice tone this way. You also got a very nice guitar. I want to buy the same in heritage cherry. Keep goin'
Thanks Steve! I own a Meteoro Cristalino (Brasilian amplifier - google by amplificadoresmeteoro)It is all tube amp.The clean channel is very nice as fenders, and the drive channel work as a JCM800, with a little bit more middles. Pedals used: compressor (Boss cs30) and a TS9. I used the drive channel of Cristalino and on the heavy part I tuned on the TS9.
É isso ai Figueiredo, temos que valorizar o produto nacional, sem duvida, o METEORO CLASSIC CRISTALINO e muito bom mesmo, e superior a muitos amplis importados. Parabens pelo improviso, gostei muito.
Thanks paulgill31! In fact I used a music intro (Rock Me - Blue Jeans). I cut this intro and makeup it to work as a loop. You can also do that, you only need software to edit a music peace and make it sounds as a loop sequence.
Very good.
