  • Thanks for the AWESOME turbo videos

Given me a WAY WAY better understanding of turbos.

I actually have a 2000 N15 SSS Pulsar (Being a SSS it has an SR20DE)

Now I will be WAY more confident when I turbo it soon

  • i always thought turbochargers compressed te exhaust gases and reburnt them...so bassicly the exhaust drives a propeller which crompresses the air going into the engine?

  • how quick is it with the t25 whats the powerband on them?

  • In the 1/8th mile (a poorly conditioned one), my car ran in the mid- to high-9s at 8lbs of boost with no traction in 1st and 2nd gears. Full boost hits at 23% throttle in every gear, and lasts until 7300rpms (redline). I estimate about 200bhp, around 175whp in a car that weighs at or less than a ton.

  • do one on running fog lights electric

  • hey can i put a turbo from any car on my 93 sentra or do know any engine wich has a stock turbo i could use

  • you'd need to choose a turbo that is comparable in size to your displacement. The best two turbos for the GA16DE are the T25 and T28 by Garrett. TSI makes a turbo manifold that bolts directly to the stock engine and is flanged for the aforementioned turbos. If you choose too large of a turbo, it will never spool or only hit boost at the very end of your rpm range.

  • TSI also makes a great complete kit, and if you email them directly, you can you can get the kit with a T25, T25BB, or T28RS.

another note, nissan SR and CA dohc turbo engines came with T25s, and the RB20/25 came with a T28.

you can buy the TSI manifold and use these turbos. you do however have to source all the other parts you'll need.

  • Actually, the SR20DET (black top) came with the T28 along with the Pulsar GTi-R SR20DET.

The RB20DET and RB25DET come with T3 hybrids, not T28s. T25 intake side, T3 exhaust.

  • very informative nothing I didn't know already but thanks for the new video. Would be awesome if you did an intercooler on your car and show how to run the piping. of course it would only be for the b12 platform but hey better than nothing (just a thought i remember you saying you were hoping the bolts where not rusted). btw how the setup going? still running the T25? I got all my parts in its just a matter of being off work long enough to get it all done. thanks again bro

  • I have plans for a front-mount over the summer, when I have the time to install everything and can afford to have the car in pieces. Of course I'll make a video of it! Still using the T25, and everything is running tip-top.

  • wait you can use a turbo without an intercooler

  • Yes, Nissan did it from the factory during the '80s and early '90s. You can run boost up to the point you reach "heat-soak". Heat-soak is when the air forced into the combustion chamber is too hot and the fuel atomises (combines) prior to entering the combustion chamber and lowers output of your engine. Intercoolers compensate for this, and cool the air before it enters the intake. Nissan ran up to 8 lbs of boost without intercoolers.
