  • los quiero ♥ mucho, pero mucho..♣

  • Brandon Boyd is delish. ;)

  • It is and always will be my absolute FAVORITE song of Incubus. <3

  • one of those BIG tracks you never get tired of hearing.

  • i miss the old Incubus.. i mean, with their style of music.. they were really unique.. Light Grenades, i didn't really like it.. and their new single, i don't know, their music style is changing in a way that the uniqueness of the band's style is kinda vanishing..

although i still loooooooove them, soo much.. they still rock.. i just hope that they get back and start making their awesome music just like when they first started :)

  • i wish you were here..Rockkkssss!!!

  • q tema x dios

    aguante ana molly

saludos a todos los estados unidos

    (Y)

  • amo a Brandon Boyd!!!

  • OMG!! The bridge pard reminds me the ppl of the World Trade Center... NOT!

  • But at that point in time, people didn't want to see images of people falling, and Incubus agreed it was too much for some people to take. Respect for the families and all.

  • "I dig my toes into the sand, The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds, Strewn across a blue blanket. I lean against the wind, Pretend that I am weightless, and in this moment I am happy, happy."

"I lay my head unto the sand, The sky resembles a backlit canopy with holes punched in it. I'm couting UFO's, I signal them with my lighter, and in this moment I am happy, happy."

    I LOVE this song - it's beautiful! I love the lyrics<3

    Incubus is AMAZING.

    End of story.

  • i like the begining from "i dig...." to "....happy." love the visual feel this gives me.

  • and in this moment i am happy.. happy :D

    great

  • the sky resembles a backlit canopy

    with holes punched in it

    i'm counting UFO's

i signal them with my lighter

and in this moment i am happy... happy

    LOVE.

  • why the hell did this video get banned?(don't explain me the reason, i know it got banned cuz the bridge jump, but it has to be banned for that?)

  • It's because it came out right after 9/11. MTV was afraid that the images of the band falling resembled the people who were jumping out of the twin towers to escape the fire. They figured it was too much for the audience to take,

  • Is it me, or Brandon Boyd Is really getting hotter and hotter?

  • he is really getting hotter!!!!! :O

  • incubus are sik!

  • ...and in this moment i am happy... luhhhdat

  • Lol, it really wouldn't matter if he jumped from that high.. he wouldn't be swimming much anyways.

  • No se ha visto other song with that energía, dan ganas de correr y lanzarse desde el puente con ellos.

  • i looked up the Clear Channel Sept 11 banned songs list thats totally insane. 311 was on there. the funniest part though is that theey list like certain songs for each band then they put "Rage Against The Machine All Songs" lol

  • I never understood why he would take off his shirt before he jumped off the bridge.

  • lol Brandon thinks all the other band members are idiots, have you ever tried to swim with a shirt on?

  • Yes! Mermaids!

  • i wish my boo always here beside me! i mz you boo!

  • awesome good..

  • this video was banned..but i love this one..

  • Why was it banned?

  • Sept 11 fiasco crap. People were too 'scared' to deal with reality. Apparently jumping off a bridge would have made people think. We don't want THAT!

  • Oh well why would they think that??? Of course we do. =P

  • Yeah! Haven't you heard of the list of songs that were temporarily BANNED after Sept 11 because people freaked out. Even though, well. I think it was set up. But we're not going into that, because we could argue for hours. :P

Look up the Clear Channel Sept 11 banned songs list. Its insane. The Beatles are on there.

It doesn't include music videos that were banned, such as this one that was just changed I believe? for tv veiwing... its crazy.

  • My Favorite part about that list:

Rage Against The Machine - All Songs

  • Lol I KNOW!!!

    Its ridiculous! I love RATM.

  • Damn. No I didnt hear anything about that list..

  • I love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wait so this song has like 3 vidos? the unreleased version, the director's cut,and an edited version for tv cause of 9/11?

  • Rage - w00t :D

  • In intro and outro scenes were inspired by the corresponding scenes in the Monkees' movie, "Head." btw

  • Well, actually this whole video. LOL.

  • I wishhhhhhhhhhhh u wereeeeeeeeeeee heeeeeeeeereeee!

  • he has such a beautiful voice

  • His lyrics are beautiful too~

This song brings back so many memories...good and bad ones... :)

  • This song will definetly be the first song played at my funeral!

  • lol! and how are u going to be sure of that?

    ahahaha lol just kiddin! ;P

  • It'll be in my will. lol

  • what an intelligent way of wasting your time

  • oh you are the best.....NOT!

  • erm excuse me but i am female and that is no way to talk to a lady and i know mermaids are mythical creatures but i heard they where mermaids in this video so i watched the video to see the mermaids.now if you have quite finnished.

  • if you dont like the band then dont say anything dont just come to its videos and post crappy comments

  • Okay,,, I'm still trying to figure out the difference between the regular version compared to this version(directors cut, that is...) Anyone know?

  • I think it is the beginning and some other few things ... ^^'

  • got a weird feeling about this song..I just dont want it to stop

  • Heh, I like the message of this video "If I jumped off a bridge, would you too?" apparently not, not even for Incubus!

  • thank you soooooooooo much for this add!! i've always wanted to see this version, i can't believe it has been on youtube for such a long time! incubus is my favourite band and this song it's amazing! it's one of the bests from 2001 and it brings me back lots of memories from back then! so thanks again! =)

  • i'm glad you like it

    =D

  • I'm not much of a fan of the whole alternative rock thing (more of a metalhead myself), but this was one of the best songs of 2001, in my opinion. And it brings back some good memories.

  • cool video! =D

  • muackk~

  • Comparing Pink Floyd and Incubus based on a song title they have in common..... well... thats perfectly fair isn't it?

  • I looove this song and Incubus are realy very goOod!! I don´t know what I can say.......only incredible good!!! :)

  • zeppelin owns rock, period no comparison. but incubus is an awesome band in its own right some sweet azz music

  • I love Kashmir. Ye. Funny, yesterday I looked up both Zeppelin and Incubus at the same time. Ye this song's nice.

  • I loooooove Incubus, but I would say that tho they are mighty talented both lyrically, vocally and musically, zeppelin is better. That doesn't mean they are leaps and bounds better, but at least slightly. Both are very talented groups.

  • HAHAHAHA zeppelin rape incubus, thats fact.

  • what alexjcagle said is true

  • Incubus are great but in terms of overall quality, Zeppelin surpass Incubus easily.

  • zeppelin's fuckin gay.

incubus's music is so much more meaningful.

their music takes more life experiences

    to write.

  • Incubus started as a bunch of teenagers, and they still sound like teenagers. It has nothing to do with life experience, it's about blowing things out of proportion.

  • hey man, if it wasnt for Zeppelin, you might not have any of your favorite bands now, they were influnces for SOO MANY BANDS now a days....

  • mm well. I like Zeppelin and Incubus both but when it comes down to it, personally, I prefer Incubus...though I'm not afraid to crank up some LZ every once in a while. Plus, they influenced a lot of the bands today like Incubus is doing for future bands so I don't see why people keep bashing Zeppelin. :/ They're a fantastic band in their own right..any right for that matter.

  • Where did you find this i have been looking everywhere!

  • I liked the idea of jumping off a bridge.

It'd be funny and play on that figure of speech if they fans jumped in too.

    BELLEYFLOP!

  • ha. i think it's hilarious that these girls are not that far behind, yet brandon still has time to jump on the ledge and take his shirt off. hahaha.

  • but it's sort of in slow motion....but you definitely have a point. haha.

  • My hands are busy in the air saying... I wish you were here...

    This song is excelent!

  • that's your opinion,i think it's one of the best bands, but everyone should make his own opinion

  • For sure their best song but not nearly on the level of the Led yet.

  • how can you compare Incubus with Led Zeppelin?

  • Yeah that comparison was completely unnecessary.

The name of the song makes me think of the (greatly superior) Pink Floyd song more than anything.

  • I'm not bashing Incubus in any way because I love them, but Pink Floyd is my first love and forever. They are by far better than Incubus or damn near any band out there...

  • i dont know, depends

  • I know! Zeppelin are shite compared to these!

  • i love their old stuff.

I like their new stuff too but it took me a while to get used to it.

they're still good songs but i like this song the best with Megalomania.

  • hands down the best incubus song

  • If you like this, check out the Monkees' movie HEAD. The video for this song is based on the first scene in the movie.

  • RIP Katie brennan (don't drink and drive)

  • those comment sux!

  • the new age led zepplin

  • Great song. Not sure if I'm down with the video or not. . .eh, who cares?? "Morning View" is a gem of an album!!

  • one of the best bands in the world?

hell no man...jesus what are you thinking?

they ARE THE BEST BAND IN THE FREAKING UNIVERSE...and arguably, the best of all time :3

  • Ever since Incubus came to town a few nights ago, I've been in an Incubus state of mind. I don't think it's gonna go away for the next several days either. o.o

  • Ahh yes... Iraq. USAs sandbox.

"My oil!! No! Its MY oil!! No, eat the sand from my cats litterbox, you bearded lady!! Its MYYY OIL!!"

    *sigh*

US and As president has 2 braincells, and they can´t agree...

  • "It's all about the oiiiiiil! For the Joooooooos! Obviously you agree with the anti-semites then? Because that's what they think, as do everyone in the ME who is anti-US...

  • song reminds me of a girl in iraq

  • i want to see them live sooo MUCHHH!!!

    i love there music1!!!

  • i would jump it!!

  • Oh yeah... I won't see my girlfriend for 10 weeks now >.> this songs fits perfectly...

  • saw this song live 4 days ago it was amazing

  • Damn...Try beating a year and a half with 10,000 miles distance between you..lol..

  • this song is great cuz everyone misses someone and they can relate to it. oh yea and it rocks

  • my brother has been gone for a week and i miss him. this song makes me think about him.

  • your brother in the service

  • looking for pink floyd and find this.....disapointing

  • stfu incubus owns pink floyd

  • hahahahahahahahaha

  • People think this song is about the fans or whatever. But in reality, he wrote this song when he was alone at the beach looking at the sunset thinking about his band members aka his friends. The song just came up in his mind and he started writing it down.

  • won amo abrandon boyd!!

  • whoa topless mermaids! That's such a guy ending. (^_^)

  • so damn hott Brandon :]

  • love this song..... kinda crazy stuff to be happy about lol but hey what ever works lol i still love the song

  • so awesome! brandon is the most attractive man in the world! I love this clip! he looks gorgeous!

  • Brandon looks absolutley hotter than usual. But i heard he has a girl friend :[

  • This song keeps me sane when my babys gone, like now, cause even though she's on the far side of the world it makes me feel like she's right here, my favourite song, thanks incubus for so many happy memories, peace love unity respect

  • Thanks for all the comments!! ^^

  • this is one of the best songst from on of the best albums i´ve ever listen to.

  • this is the best video ever....EVER!

  • i guess this version is better than the released one.

  • yay INCUBUS!!!!!

    yum Brandon lol :P:P:P

this vid is so much betr than the one that was released :D

  • i appreciate that incubus isn't afraid to break free of the emo hold on the average rock videos. this reminds me inexplicably of fantasia. a lovely, soothing song.

  • i love incubus, but i gotta say this video fuckin blows hard nuts. every video for this album blows.

  • one of my favorite songs :)

  • Brandon increible!!

  • This is one of my favorite songs--I was looking forward to setting some pics of a trip to Virigina to it--alas, I totalled my car:(

    But there's always next year;)

  • RHCP is the only band to compare with incubus! or do you have other suggestions? who can recommend me another band? does anybody know "State radio"? ive seen them live, 3 days ago. as a support act of incubus on their europe open ait tour in summer 07.

  • Hmmm... I'll add FOO FIGHTERS, LIVE and Goo Goo Dolls...

  • There will never be a band as great as Incubus.

  • I love this song! ... and isn't he just the YUMMIEST THING =P !!!

  • i don't get it they say that the music video has never come out is because they didnt' want to put it during september 11 but wat does this video have to do with september 11

  • not a big fan.. but love this song and the video is really cool!!!!.

  • this band is actually amazing! Brandon Boyed is so hot and i love him!

my daddy's taing me to see them in october for my birthday... can't wait! XD

  • teenybopper

  • lol, this is the beginning of HEAD! hehe, don't know if anyone else here has seen it, but the Monkees are being chased by fans on a bridge, Mickey jumps of, "The Porpoise Song" starts and the rest of them jump off too. Then they're just sort of floating in the water while the psycholdelic color changes happen. Then a mermaid comes and rescues them. :) Movie's awesome! :)

  • i dont understand why people say they prefer the older style. they never really had one sound, they've never sounded the same for too long. their music changes and grows with them. i love the old stuff and new stuff equally. they are the greatest band of all time <3

  • AWSOME!!!!! But lame mermaid

  • oh yeah.. this song will never get out of my head..

i never have expirienced an atmosphere like this in a song..

have to listen to it with great speaker, cause i think otherwise this atmosphere does not really appear..

for me its the best song of all times and believe me i 've heard lots of songs..

i cannot get why they are not as famous as other bands like rage against the machine and so on.. i think they dont want it..

  • he looks like my boyfriend when he's running at the beginning. also, this song won't get out of my head. i'd do anything to sing it. i agree with pistachio 180. but i like anna molly now. the old music was a little better, but i haven't heard much of the new stuff

  • this is such a beautiful song !!! i adore it!!! <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

  • this song appeals also to an 70s-80s rocker like myself, minus the silly dj sounds...

  • the first 1000x i heard this song i loved it, everytime

  • I guess I understand where the rest of you are coming from. But I honestly love all of Incubus' albums. I think it's just the way that they play together as a band. Even when Ben played with them his first album (ACLOTM) it just sounds right. Incubus is amazing and in my opinion... MY OPINION... the best band ever.

  • well if u look at the spread on their albums they have never focused on one sound anyway... so if they stayed on a sound then that wudnt be incubus... look at science vs morning view alot of early fans dnt like it!

  • i totally agree. incubus is so far ahead of other bands because they can play anything. you cant hear the first five seconds of their song and immediatly tell its them. (unlike crappy bands like fallout boy)

  • i like the stuff incubus is doing now... but, apparently along w/ everybody else, i prefer the sound of the old music.

  • Is this version of the video included on The Morning View Sessions DVD?

  • omg the only song i like from their new album is anna molly- and even that one took me a while to get used to- Dig sux- i've tried listening to it but it's just so stupid sounding- i just keep asking myself why they would make a song like that when they rock- it stinks that u get used to a band sounding a certain way and when they change- its just not 'them' anymore.

  • solid song very strong and really solid

  • nice chat!

  • This video resembles a scene from the Monkees' movie "HEAD" - the opening sequence shows the band being chased by girls and jumping off of a bridge to escape. The boys are adrift underwater and aided by mermaids, just like in this clip. Hm. Somebody's a Monkees fan...?

  • I just read that this video was banned by MTV after what happened on 9/11 because Brandon and the band were RUNNING AWAY FROM THE GIRLS and they had to jump off the bridge! What the?!? Is this true, THAT'S the reason why they had to make the other video? In that case - what a sick sad little world.

  • Dirk left because hes a funk/jazz bass player, incubus's 3 first albums (fungus amungus, science, make yourself) contained a lot of funk/jazz based songs. But when they did Morning view all their songs were based in rock/pop schemes, so since that moment looks like incubus decided to change their music style from funk/jazz/agro to rock/pop, then dirk just didnt agreed with their new schemes and he had no choice but leave the band.

  • no dirk left due to the 'contemporary' vintage style that the band wanted to go in due to jose and mike's involvement with the time lapse consortium they became more involved with vintage tones and song styles.

dirk was not inclined to sell his soul to play the current dance rock crap that is selling that ACLOTM was in the vein of.

  • just a little fyi: dirk left circa 2002, then the band began having contract issues with their label causing problems with creating a new album. thus, the time lapse consortium was born while the band tried to resolve their label issues. the "vintage" sound involved with time lapse--if one could call it vintage--came after dirk left the band, not while they were making Crow. Crow was produced from the ground up way after dirk left.

  • also, do you really think that Crow and Light Grenades are "dance rock?" Are you serious? Do you even know what dance rock is? Do you seriously think that SSLW, pistola, agoraphobia, zee deveel, HIMR, priceless, LG, anna molly, rogues, pendulous threads, paper shoes, KTSUO, etc. are DANCE ROCK? Get out of here with that crap, and you call yourself "incubrian." What a shame you can't support one of the greatest bands in the past 20 years.

  • wow, where to start... dirk was STILL in incubus when the trouble with sony began- news was not released until later on. (the lawsuits were for the first three successfully selling albums for whom the band was not compensated for properly, of which dirk was a part of). the TLC was where they met kenney and saw a new look for jose's kit, and new gear/tone for mike.

  • i already said that the movement toward a more vintage/contemporary sound (if you catch my drift) was brought about with TLC and furthered with Crow. while the TLC concert did not happen until dirk was gone, do you honestly believe that mike hadn't been talking about doing a vintage style BEFORE TLC or Crow? because he HAD. "Time Lapse Consortium is an idea that had been swirling around in my brain for quite some time. For years I've been fascinated..."

  • my point is that the TLC was an idea that was bringing about a huge style change, that i am sure dirk was aware of. it would call for kenney bass lines (aka not TRUE bass, as kenney was a guitarist), not the trademark dirk tone, that i believe, made incubus. now dont give me that shit about how incubus changes with each record. science, MY, and MV, (even fungus) all have similar traits in structure, style, fills, mood, and overall tone.

  • i'm sure you still support them, but don't say the music is bad, because it really isn't. they're one of the few bands that is able to function in the charred, apocalyptic world of mtv and still produce quality music; that shows true talent. they might be the only band in the major label forest that can do mainstream chart topping songs like 'dig' and love hurts' and couple them with songs like 'light grenades' and 'pendulous threads'

  • i am not saying the music is BAD, per se, i am just saying it is not what it once was. i know every fan has their opinions, and while i like songs like dig and threads, it will never compare to have you ever or calgone. it just saddens me to know what once was, may never be again.

  • i totally agree with you there. sorry about the earlier hostilities. i, too, miss the days of deep inside, summer romance, circles, blood on the ground, nowhere fast, etc. but i guess that's just the way it is: they (any band) gets big and their sound is compromised as a result. as long as they enjoy the music they make (we'll never know, but hopefully they do), i'll be fine.

  • while they all have things to make them unique (and timeless), Crow was a start to a new direction that is further shown with LG. Kenney was a huge influence in changing the sound of incubus. you still hear certain incubus'isms if i may, but they are undeniably a changed band; IMO for the worse.

  • i know you know this, but mike switched guitars for Crow (time lapse too?) which changed a bulk of the sound of their music in huge way. it wasn't all kenney. but come on, did you really think that the band was gonna stay the same? their on a major label, and have been since science. their music is on mtv, since science as well (i remember seeing the 'green' video on at like 2 AM on mtv a decade ago).

  • indeed, and i think their position in a major label, at least their current one had a lot of influence both in the style changes, and in dirk leaving. (yet i dont think its any reason to abandon such a great sound from Science to MV!) either it is coincidental that Crow comes out at similar times to other "vintage throwback" bands, or incubus has actually stopped making themselves at this point and following the record labels advice.

  • personally, i think they should finish out their contract (one more album?) and go without a label and pay for their own album: i think it would be humbling, for the band, to have to pay for the entire album--which they definitely could, they have enough. plus, they could release a bunch of live albums--both past and present--to fund the studio album. but that's just my opinion.

  • AND you need to learn how to read. first i said "IN THE VEIN" of dance rock (aka similar to). i never said it WAS. apparently you make blatant stylistic comparisons. if you listen to jose's work, in comparison to his older ones, they are in are much different in tempo and style than his older works (ESPECIALLY in pistola, anna molly, leech, , agora/talk shows/w/ tom rim hits, just to name a few).

  • i know you said in "the vein of." but that phrase implies that the style is within the realm of dance rock, which it most certainly is not. also, i can read, you can't. i never said that "their sound changes with every album," nor was i going to say that; don't assume. i know that FA/EI, Sci, MY, and MV are all in the same atmosphere; and yes, i know it was because of dirk (who is a fantastic bassist, one of the best).

  • well then i must give you props because many people rely on that argument to back up ANY and all changes the band makes. which is totally stupid. cmon, they call themselves fans, they need to have some mental grip on what they love(d) about this band! i truly think there is change and then there is difference. while incubus changes, they are a different band with the advent of Crow and on.

  • so why did dirk quit??

  • i have always had a crush on this guy, Brandon, his voice is just comforting.

  • Great song......take off your shirt Brandon*
