  • Study the Gita, keep it holy Holly Hunter huntress for the holidays of a long time ago mattered when women were ladies abounding in charm, wit & class; when they menstruated freely, copiously, sans the incessant bitching that's currently treated as natural and, ergo, naturally catered to, tolerated, and evenly encouraged amongst the fattening horde.

  • The metaphysical world is fantastical to humans and humanoids with 3-pound brains, as 3-pound brains aren't brains enough to measure infinity. Apes are humanoids; men are not simians. Large chunks of ancient ape parts should be fossilized en masse like the woolly mammoths and the minor & major king lizards what fill the cavernous museums of Western societies.

  • There are realms beyond human perception. The existence of these foggy kingdoms is not reliant nor contingent upon the faith & acknowledgment of anyone. The sad fact that uneducated groups of humans deny paranormal events is immaterial in regards to how frequently they occur.

  • @CelestialEmbodiment said "There are realms beyond human perception."

That's what we have lab instruments for. There's no evidence of, or reason to believe in, anything supernatural.

  • What so-called physical Law, as labeled and defined by Man's science can't be suspended, superseded, trumped, ignored, perverted or dumped? Science ("scire": to know) is and will never be more than knowledge that can be registered by the human senses: taste, touch, see, hear and smell. This then denies atheism as a condition possible to humans with faculties intact.

  • @CelestialEmbodiment "This then denies atheism as a condition possible to humans with faculties intact."

I honestly have no idea how you got to that conclusion.

  • Jesus is the answer!

  • @jake24550 PRAYZE THA LAWD!!

  • One should give credit to Dan Dennett when "borrowing" the fluke/ant analogy.

  • Personally, I'm not religous, and I don't take personal issue with what he's saying, but if you ask me, he's just as bad as those he is mocking/criticizing,etc.

  • Great use of reference when using Stanley Milgram. Why is there such an incredibily high proportion of the world's best minds being of Jewish stock? And so many having these religious parasites in their brains! ha ha. Surely it is not productive to use a Jew's ingenious mind to add substance to this arguement!? The Jewish mind defies much of what we intellectually try to understand through our scientific analyses. Maybe we could see the religious parasite like good bacteria that helps us?

  • Wow.Anti-semitic much?

  • @Hudsucker94 nope. just logical

  • tell it like it is prof!

  • Im glad im a agnostic now cuz i was on the crazy side not too long ago. now im on the right side fighting for human progress without using god as a way to not do anything. christians in a way are fucking lazy " Let god handle it" well dip shits when was the last time you saw your god making antibiotics ? oh right he should have done that when he was down here, or did he just not care about is humans? i thought he was all loving? i would give my children meds. why not your god?

  • Atheists, • When I say God, I am not talking about your mucus or the spaghetti in your mouth. No, not the crumbs on your table either.

  • wow all mind , brain, brain, mind mind mind...scientist have no heartfelt compassion God made them to be very stubborn!

  • @kodzillah

You realise the heart does nothing but pump blood right? Feelings actually come from the "brain, brain, mind mind mind"

Wait of course you don't, you think all "scientists have no heartfelt compassion", those same scientists that dedicate their lives to curing insufferable diseases and saving/extending the lives of you and your family.

If science is so heartless, stop drinking it's cleanly produced water, stop using it's devil internet/computers, stop taking antibiotics for infections

  • @Moirera The heart contains an awful lot of neurons. Anyone that has ever had a heart transplant will be thankful, as it allows it to control and regulate itself even when completely disconnected from the brain. True, the brain might contain about two million times more neurons, but the heart is at least theoretically able think - admittedly probably only about how its beating affects the amount of CO2 in the blood, and how to keep it at non-toxic levels using as little energy as possible.

  • @smariot

The neurons in the heart are there to conduct information sent down by the brain. In order for it to be able to think - the neurons must be built in a more intricate web, similar to that in the brain. The heart still only follows the orders of the brain. Don't kid yourself about it.

  • @goal2004 The heart doesn't follow orders, it takes suggestions. If a person has a seizure and their brain starts spewing random garbage, the heart is smart enough to ignore the brain and continue beating on its own; it doesn't start beating randomly and kill the person. For heart transplant patients, the nerves connecting the heart to the brain have obviously been severed, and the heart will continue to function completely independent of input from its original brain or the new hosts brain.

  • @smariot

The heart beats themselves are not regulated by the brain. They're regulated by the heart's biological pacemaker. However, that pacemaker is being controlled by the brain. When a person has a seizure the heart goes under enormous stress and more often than not - the persons' heart rate will go up to even 300bpm. The pacemaker responds to impulses from the brain to determine it's rate. If there is no input it won't just stop right away, it will keep going until it runs out of energy.

  • @goal2004

Then why does it continue to beat after being removed from the chest,

  • @FeelOfFriction

The pacemakers, like I said, keep sending impulses through the heart even after being disconnected from the brain. The brain only tells them how fast to go.

Once disconnected from the brain they will keep going at the same rate until they simply run out of energy.

  • @chadwick1037

    I think I'm a fairly good person. But I don't "accept Jesus".

Any God who would condemn good people to an eternity of torture, simply for the 'sin' of not believing in something for which there is no sufficient or compelling evidence, is not an entity deserving of worship.

Even if this version God exists, it is a cruel, malevolent, and unjust entity. Would you praise a torturer for his "mercy" if he refrains from hurting you, but threatens to hurt you if you stop worshipping him?

  • my you are awfully slef centered dont you know the lord is all around stop making excuses and just believe there is more then science can proof but you may have 2 lose ur ego first

  • @chadwick1037

I don't "just believe" in anything.

I acknowledge the obvious; that there is a great deal we do not know, and science has a long way to go in revealing the mysteries of the universe. That doesn't mean it makes sense to replace gaps in our knowledge with goblins, ghosts, wizards, or gods.

And I still wouldn't worship an entity evil enough to torture people simply for not kissing its ass.

If it turns out that you're right after all, enjoy your eternity of sycophancy to an evil god.

  • @chadwick1037

ego? you're the one who thinks that not only did an omnipotent being make you, but that of all the things in the universe, he is keenly interested in what you do in your personal life.

anyone can think rationally, but you might have to lose your egotistical religious thinking.

  • @pyr666 so I'm egotistical for believeing in a higher supreme conscienceness? makes a lot of sence, w/e atleast its obvious that i have EGO. you should look at yourself before you judge others, now go back to worshipping the devil you prick

  • @chadwick1037

way to only read 1/2 the post.

  • @chadwick1037

"so I'm egotistical for believeing in a higher supreme conscienceness?"

Yes, especially if you believe that it cares about you personally.

  • well damn its never felt so good to be egotistical

  • i wonder if there is anybody in the world that could give me 3 reasons why Atheism is good and helpful to lives other then denouncing religion....??????????????????????

  • 1. You think rationally and are able to manage your life according to reason and not according to unprovable claims, e.x. when youre sick, you go to the doctor instead of praying for being cured miraculously.

    2. You dont live in fear of being punished after death for doing things that harm nobody, e.g. being gay, so your more comfortable with your life (BTW: Isnt it strange that the Abrahamic religions god is so interested in what we do with our genitals?)

    3.You don't waste time/money on it

  • 3. Faith is free, Religion builds from faith

    2. If you live morally you shouldn't have fear and accepting Jesus already cancels out punishment or judgement as it is written in the NT

    1. If you knew the least bit about christianity you would know Reason is dominant of Emotion thats a strong foundation to the faith, Reason is why God fearing people are God fearing

ArchThorn.. Now your 3 reasons sounded more like excuses why you dont believe i was looking for somthing a bit more concrete notanks

  • *Reason is dominant over emotion*

  • @chadwick1037 For you, as a believer, there are probably no arguments in this world that would convince you because you would rationalise everything, e.g. Why do children in Africa die meaningless deaths? God has a special plan for them etc. But my point here is to clearly state that I am not making excuses one makes them when ashamed of sth. I am profoundly proud of myself for being able to break free from this constricting way of embracing ignorance and closing my eyes to the real world.

  • @chadwick1037 Not being delusional is infinitely beneficial.

  • @lipoicacid But then whats delusional, having extra ordinary powers? seeing jesus in your dreams curing diseases careful I'm carrying demons? prescience? Prophetic? ur genetic skizophrenia? you think u rad as fuck cause u talk wit moth bitten big words and probly have a lips 2 go along wit it? killing someone am I right? or wrong u knowimsayin, 2+2=4? Ur mom? Me praying? Me thanking? the Lord that this morning i awakened? that my job cancels payments?

  • @chadwick1037 I will comment only on the comprehensible parts of your reply...

  • @chadwick1037 If the words ''infinitely'' and ''beneficial'' are ''big words'' for you it is no suprise that you are a rabid theist =/

  • @chadwick1037

I don't get it. You're just messing around, right? You don't really write like that? You'll have to forgive my confusion because there are some wacky fundies out there so it is often hard to tell parody from the real thing.

  • @chadwick1037

Actually I think religion is better than atheism because:

    1) less responsibility - God watches over everything

    2) no need for education - if one doesn't know something ultimately God did it or demons.

    3) justice will always be served - that goddam farmer working on sabbath will burn for all eternity like he deserves.

  • @x86freak

Lol; I love these videos that deal with religion for different reasons but one of the main ones is I alwasy find some hilarious posts. Your's was a great one!

  • @jimbrown257 heh, thanks. "Emperor's New Clothes" is a great motivator to call people on their bs :)

  • Like the greeks, the founders of critical thinking and science in europe?

Do you know what the rennaisance is? it's a time period after the christian dark ages, when people rediscovered what the greeks had already discovered millenia ago.

You have the wrong idea on who spreads the propaganda. Compare this one video, or the guy's class with going to the church, And you'll see the propaganda.

The part about your brain is an unbased assumtion. Perhaps you should inform yourself on the matter?

  • @wachnathan so you think that cultures that beleived in a god did better than cultures that didn't believe in a god and therefore beleiving in god is better than not? and this means that god exists? wtf? thats retarded.

  • @errskin My point was that a tribe can become stronger with a beleaf that a super being is making them feel more powerful then everyone else just look at Odin and the viking they beleaved a war god backed them up and there for had no fear of there enemys just like the Greeks too its in our history ever super power had a god or gods. I didn't say that gods were real i am saying that people need a leader to be powerful there is strength in that.

  • if people think that they are better or more powerful or something then they will act on that, sure, but that is not something that can be or should be attributed to a god and its not necessarily good, in fact i would argue that its necessarily bad if the belief relies upon the bible or the quran.

  • @errskin just look at history and learn its about having purpose its not about the god there would be chaos and confusion about life unless you have somthing to follow that makes you feel important to the world thats a good enough reason for me to have a beleaf in somthing.

  • that may be good enough for you, but not me. i have standards. i need the truth, not convenient beliefs. i actually care if my beleifs are true, not if they are comfortable. a belief just to make you feel important is definitely not good enough for me, and it shouldn't be good enough for you.

  • really, people STFU listen to the vid, really listen to it, and learn. USeing the bible and junk cant prove god, that is like saying, lord of the rings is real, see this book with the title (lord of the rings) says so. Time and space are names we give, god is a name we gave...and (dinosaurses 13itches!) ya dinos...ok back to this.... the bible been rewirtten like 10 times, And hell is like saying (ya god loves you, but if you dont than you BURN FOREVER.....) listen to urself peeps, and learn =D

  • Fear is the mother of all religions.....free yourself and realize that when you understand why you DO NOT accept the "other gods" of the worlds and then you'll understand why yours is just as ludicrus. Your belief in your gods weighs heavily on the culture you were reared in.

  • Why don't you all go "pray?" for the knowledge to see that religion is something that the ignorant find to be true, the very well educated to be false and rulers to be VERY USEFUL?

Seriously, stop thwarting your very own will to survive and accept that it is our responsibility to make this reality a better world for us all than accept the subjigating mentality to accept whatever happens as "gods will."

We have the ability to stop this ignorance and create the world we ALL deserve.

  • Sorry, but we know what islam is all about, and for all i care, i don't wanna go back a couple of hundred years in my way of thinking

  • @alexandervlad

    you know?

Well congratulations on an arrogant statement with no value whatsoever,

however i'll leave you to yourself.

  • @Jessewb If you'd have minded to CHECK to who i was responding to, perhaps you'd have seen my point

  • @Jessewb For clarification, the person I was responding to claimed that Islam is a religion of peace, and hold the only truth about life, and that we should all convert. I have read the qur'an, and while I am not aware of the different views of islam denominations on it, I am aware that it is not a religion of peace, it promotes violence towards others and the treatment of women as inferior to a great degree. I believe that that mindset is obsolete, so please excuse me for being informed

  • @alexandervlad

I'm sorry if that is what you've learned, but to my knowledge it's completely incorrect.

The Qur'an teaches defence of the oppressed and equity between men and women, not equality since men and women are different, however of the same value.

In fact if you were learned in Islam you would know that woman have more rights and less duties than men.

I evaluate all religions by the contents and not by who claims to follow them.

I excuse you for being misinformed.

  • @Jessewb Sharia law. The confession of a man is equal to that of two women.

    You excuse who?

  • @alexandervlad

Once again misinformed because a confession of a man is equal to that of a woman's and so is a testimony, however in the case which you are talking about is in the case of a business deal, which is the only case in which it is asked for two women and one man to be present, because women are not forced to work in business, hence could forget, not because they are less, but because their main concerns aren't business.

There are situations when a man's witness is worthless in Islam.

  • @alexandervlad

This kind of misguidance is what happens when you don't study from official sources.

I'm not against you in any way, but you are speaking from ignorance even though it's not really your fault, but your source's fault.

  • @Jessewb Forensic evidence (i.e. fingerprints, ballistics, blood samples, DNA etc.) and other circumstantial evidence is likewise rejected in hudud cases in favor of eyewitnesses, a practice which can cause severe difficulties for women plaintiffs in rape cases. Testimony from women is given only half the weight of men, and testimony from non-Muslims may be excluded altogether (if against a Muslim). Non-Muslim minorities, however, could and did use Sharia courts, even amongst themselves.

  • @alexandervlad

If there are not four witnesses for the hudud sentence, then it enters in to the case of tazeerat, in which forensic evidence will be taken in to account and it is the judges responsibility to make a fair judgement of the evidence, no longer can the blame fall upon the teachings of Islam but only upon the judge.

If there is a country which takes half the testimony of a woman, they are doing wrong basing myself off hadith and qur'an, seen in cases of false accusation as an example

  • @alexandervlad

Most muslim countries today don't have a caliphate like they are supposed to Islamically, I have seen quite a few times innovations to the religion, specially in relation to court justice with women, and I've also seen proclamation of sects when sects are forbidden under Islam for the sake of unity.

So it doesn't surprise me that you will find idiotic cases, in pakistan there were people holding Qur'ans in the air saying it would bless the marriage, idiocy is a human addition.

  • @Jessewb I'm just saying

  • Ionz75, do you know what argumentative incompetence is? It's the inability to intelligently hold an argument because you lack the capacity to coherently analyze & logically disprove valid points made by ur opponent. So you instead hyper-sensitively, ego-tistically & ignorantly attack them like a child. And correction: "Talking out your ass" was invented by Doc Andy & his equally laughable tribe of intellectually bankrupt disciples like you & ur pointless empty posts hun haha. XD

  • When this law school gets sued for allowing yet another bias belief-centric ideologue to blindly attack numerous students diverse beliefs in less than 5 minutes, I have a feeling they're gonna eventually determine that the real parasite on campus is Dr. Andy Thompson lol. XD Only intellectually bankrupt parasitic thought negates universally validated possibilities with absolute certainty.

  • If this is a multicultural multi-ideological school, where theyve now insulted likely over 75% of their high-paying student body, Then only allowing 1 ideologue to propegate his own personal prejudice beliefs in the phony IQ-insulting guise of unbias intellectual lecture is both academically incorrect, hipocritically close-minded, hilariously bias, culturally insulting & intellectually offensive.

  • 5- Neither exclusive support nor dissmissal of any 1 ideological belief, pro or antireligious, should be propegated @nonideologically exclusive academic learning institutions. Or is this a school for atheists? Then they might wanna return all the tuition fees of all the now parasitic Christians, Jews, Muslims & "spiritual but not religious" students who've funded their establishment for decades. Those who bite the hand that feeds them often starve.

  • (continued) Atheism is still an absolute belief with no scientific proof or infalible logic to support it against all the billions of spiritual (experience) testimonies, scientifically unexplained witnessed miracles & countless mysteries, including our 6th sense/profound feelings inherently deeper than science can go & the atom's origin/purpose. There are legitimate reasons, based on honest logic, to accept or consider the possibility of Intelligent Design.

  • 1- Faith & Science are not mutually exclusive. 2- Atheism & Religious Fanaticism are equally close-minded in opposite directions. 3- Atheism is just another ideological belief- hilariously masquerading as progressive thought. The only significant difference is that in atheistic ideology man is his own individual god. (continued)

  • 4- Atheism is not progressive thought. Progressive thought questions & explores all possibilities. All atheism does is assume the negative, ignoring all other deeper possibilities, profound patterns & creative thought. It is an inherently close-minded & often doggedly believed negation of possibilities. The ultimate red flag of backwards thinking- something found in all ideologically eccentric beliefs, including atheism- which, just by it's very nature is intellectually bankrupt.

  • @ChristiLuv2005

Do you know what talking out of your ass is? It's when someone bloviates about a subject he knows nothing about, your post is a perfect example.

  • 4- Atheism is not progressive thought. Progressive thought questions & explores all possibilities. All atheism does is assume the negative, ignoring all other deeper possibilities

  • Mankind is prone to get impregnated with ideologies that will ultimately brainwash him.

He becomes a slave of nationalism, tribalism and starts worshipping a dictator who uses media to brainwash him.Religion brings him nearer to his Creator and frees his mind against such enslavements

  • I am very close to my creator.. I talked to my mother a few days ago for coffee.

  • @jesterspace

Mother even does not know when a child in her womb died off and became a MISSED miscarriage. She cannot increase the blood supply of her placenta nourishing her baby to prevent IUGR and she cannot prevent her foetus from killing himself when a cord is entangled off his body or neck.

No, the mother is NOT our creator but the respect and companionship is due on her because God made her the means of sendiing us to this world.

  • "the means of sendiing us to this world." how droll believing that your or my existence was planned out so much in advance. And in history.. there are many 'Creators'. What happens if I follow a false creator? No one has ever shown me any evidence (testable evidence of any sort).. this goes back to the first creator paradox.. who created the creator?

  • Till 100 years back we were certain scientifically that universe was existent for ever.

cant we swallow a Creator to be existent forever now ?

Time and distance are the dimensions which have been CREATED !!

  • jesterspace

Concept of Creator , one true God was always revealed in every scripture sent to every nation of mankind but people who want to delude others have changed that concept into distorted concept of many God.I will give you examples in next comment

  • "have changed that concept into distorted concept of many God.".. but monotheistic gods are relatively new. Before the beginnings of monotheistic religions were the greeks, norse, sumerian.. all polytheistic.. all before any of the solo gods. You have your statement backwards. You have used scripture as evidence.. what happens when all of these supposedly inerrant books directly contradict each other.

  • I have read scriptures.

The scriptures confirm each other when interpreted in the light of their LATEST edition, i.e. Qur'an.

Visit my channel page to understand the history of recording of Holy Qur'an.Qur'an calls it to be the last scripture of God and has been diligently preserved. All scriptures are to be understood in its' light.

Muslims are supposed to believe in all prophets and revelations sent to them but the last one is fully preserved to be a guard on other scriptures

  • Most people try to compare Qur'an with other books selecting for the things in common to them and calling it to be a plagiarised but in Qur'an God describes how He revealed previous scriptures and how previous people mistreated previous revelations.

Qur'an is the last edition of God's words

  • Bible: MARK 12 VERSE 29 HEAR O ISRAEL THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE

    There are many verses

    Let me quote hinduism:

    1) Those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires surrender unto demigods and follow the particular rules and regulations of worship according to their own natures." [Bhagavad Gita 7:20]

The Gita states that people who are materialistic worship demigods i.e. gods besides the True God.

All scriptures say that God is ONE

  • 3 minutes in and it looks like he's repeating Dan Dennett VERBATIM...

  • ahhh baby doo daa upset dooby do, brrrraaahhhhh

  • Do you have the text of this lecture? I want to translate to portuguese and subbeding it. Thanks.

  • great video!

  • I do believe however that if there is some sort of God, or Creator, that they are nothing special, and are probably completely unlike any of the religions on Earth.

This may sound like the ad ignorantium, but actually one argument I use against specific religions is that if ONE of the religions on earth is true(only one), and is left to probability, the chances of it being completely correct is very small(take every single religion and draw one).

  • I do have to say that when I use the probability thing, based off of what I know, I actually organize them in levels.

1st level: Theism(pretty much says that there is a set of supernatural spiritual rules and stuff, and that god exists) and Atheism, which are pretty much just opposites.

50% for each side based off of what I know.

2nd level: All Individual religions, assuming theism is true. Lower chance of one religion being correct because of more options.

  • and 3rd final level: Sub-religions. Essentially protestant Christianity vs roman catholic Christianity. They are dependent on whether the 2nd and 1st level corresponding with them are correct(which are based off of chance and reduce the chances of this being correct). The added options decrease the chances of it being completely correct.

So as you can see the chances of each religion of actually being correct is actually extremely small.

  • lol i unno y u got dislikes,

  • by saying atheism is a religion is just putting a label on a label.

  • Most atheists believe that god(s) could exist, they just don't see a reason to believe in them.

  • Exactly.

  • I like to argue that a deity is not real because I see no logical proof of one.

Until I am given proof I will believe my belief, their is no god, as it seems the most logical and that is that. You can not prove a negative, and there has yet to be any proof of the positive (there is a god). It's kinda like unicorns and other mythical creatures; it's a worldwide belief that they don't exist BECAUSE there is no proof.

  • @ThazuaBlackarrow

The lack of God can also be not proven as the matter has no inclination of organising itself into living being

  • Bullshit link alert.

  • A religion is an organized approach to human spirituality which usually encompasses a set of narratives, symbols, beliefs and practices, often with a supernatural or transcendent quality, that give meaning to the practitioner's experiences of life through reference to a higher power, God or gods, or ultimate truth.

    EPIC FAIL ON YOUR PART

  • its too bad organizations of religion basically live on their own set of rules and are to be what i consider the biggest mafia organizations ever

  • LOL

  • @donchevito117 I agree wholeheartedly Jesus was the biggest anti-religion being ever but the media paints him out as being other than.

  • 5 stars. Really great stuff in this video. I did not think of the transference issues hijacked by religion before.

  • Since when did law schools or ANY schools start discussing religion in this manner?

  • I watched Daniel Dennett use this example in a lecture as well.

  • what in the hell are you talking about? your idiotic ramblings about parasites clearly shows you have not watched the video.

  • You are a stupid fool if you do not understand the point of this video.

  • idiot, im not an atheist

  • I rest my case

  • Just watch the videos to learn. It's not about athiesm, its about science and reality. It's not a conspiracy against god, it's education.

  • Great video! 5/5 and favorite!

  • I read about some other virus infacting humans,

slowing down the reactiontime for example. It also let a person take higher risks. it makes fools out of humans to put the finger on the problem. Basicly Religion doas make fools out of people too. There are some real cruel examples for it, like the Crusades. Invading a city cause of religious believes is nonsense! Reasons were in fact greed for artifacts, money and glory. Its almost sad to think about a group of people breaking their own rules.

  • Gravity exists! Run and tell your friends.

  • Thank you! We need more of these videos.

  • FFree.Thankyou so much for this.5*/fav.

  • Um... can you explain once again how this is a strawman? He is not creating some other definition of religion*; but showing how religions use, I guess, the way we developed & function in order to draw people in.

  • yes, religion was a primitive survival trait, and it's STILL being propped up in our social policy via politics. WHY? It's very useful for control. FALLBACKS? Self destruction through ignorance is allowed, but very beneficial for the few elites.

  • "scientific dogma" is an oxymoron. Science in general is constantly evolving and improving as more research and understanding is attained. This is the opposite of dogma (and therefore religion).

Religion is a non-sensical, backwards and out-dated way of rationalising the world.

  • I'm very dogmatic about gravity; it's such a downer.

  • I'm waiting for the xtian movement for intelligent falling. "If gravity were a universal law then jesus couldn't have risen bodily to heaven without contraptions so there must be an invisible hand that pulls us down that can choose to lift us up. It's the only thing that makes the saving of the chosen in revelations make sense. The story of newton is just a variation of the story of buddha who both sat under a tree and were struck by false enlightenment in order to draw people away from god."

  • lol...you had better be kidding:) Please tell me you are, as I've heard such stories by utilizing psychological defense mechanisms.

  • Well yeah I am kidding but that doesn't mean I don't expect that to start showing up in the schools in the anti education states.

  • "I'm very dogmatic about gravity; it's such a downer. "

    Where is your evidence?!

  • That I'm dogmatic about gravity or that it's a downer?

... I guess I just have faith that gravity gets me down.

  • Lecture reminds me of Breaking the Spell.

  • When you personally wrong someone, you can pray to Jesus to forgive you, or perhaps visit a priest and get absolution.

When an atheist wrongs someone, they either have to get forgiveness from the person they wronged, or live with that persons distrust. And even if they apologise, they might not be forgiven.

When you are an atheist, things have VERY REAL consequences.

When you are a Christian, you get a license to pray your wrongs away. And pretend like everything is ok afterwards.

  • Name a country that North Korea, China or the former Soviet are currently invading and killing people in?

I can name you a number of countries the wonderful USA has invasion forces in and where they are killing people everyday.

And last i checked the USA is one of the most religious countries on earth.

So what was your point again?

  • Ur right about the US but China invaded Tibet years ago and is still there. Russian troops are still in Chechnya; sorry I dont know how to spell this word. Anyway just thought u shud know.

  • Its a little harder with those occupations cause China and Tibet where once the same country, same with Russia and Chechnya so i can kinda see both sides reasoning in the conflicts.

But the USA tends to have its hands in the affairs of counties clear across the globe from itself.

Our troops being in Germany, Japan, Korea, Cuba, Iraq, Saudi Arabia just to name a few are examples of the USA being the global bully.

I would rather we worried more about what goes on inside our own boarders.

  • Let there be light.

Two days later he makes the stars that make the light.

    Way to go god.

  • Maybe it was his use of the word 'parasite' that triggered such an ignorant reaction. Religion is a 'parasite' just like capitalism is a parasite on the working class.

  • Impressive! You truly have a gift for employing meaningless clichés to communicate your angst.

  • Why is religion the best mankind can do so far?

I'd also disagree that Atheists actually believe in God. Maybe it's hard for you to believe, but I actually do think there's no creator. It's just not necessary to explain anything. We know just how wrong the bible is. There was no global flood. No fall from grace. No Eden. So, if I know all this stuff is wrong, why would I think God exists anyway? I just don't get it.

Also, I think you're the one with the chip on the shoulder :o)

  • Well, God is actually a human by definition(I actually randomly did some research on that with a dictionary lol). And I've gone by the name "God", so I have to say that God does exist(I'm talking about myself).

Just to show you what I'm talking about

    Definitions:

God: the one Supreme Being, the creator and ruler of the universe.

Ruler: a person who rules or governs; sovereign.

Person: a human being, whether man, woman, or child

As you can see, by this God is actually a human XD. Who knew

  • i love it, lolll

  • "Religion is the best mankind can do so far."

Hamas, Al Qaeda, the inquisition etc all prove it.

"Atheism is likely the thing that'll destroy the world"

As current news events really prove. Atheists blow up towers, use suicide belts in crowds etc.. our Science books tell us to kill theists.

"and atheists don't even really disbelief in God, they know he exists."

Oh yeah I know there is a hell too and I choose my own torment.

No seriously do you believe your own lies?

  • Spoken just like someone who would feature a PCS video. Its not easy getting as many things wrong while using so few words, takes most people at least a page of text to type as much moronic dribble as that post of yours contained.

But its ok cause that green worm chewing away at your brain will make the pain all go away, course most of your money will go away with it to fund the green worm's church.

    "they know he exists"

And just how do we know this when even theist cant prove he exists.

  • "Unbelievable! What overblown communist crap! good grief some of those people PAID money to listen to that"

Communism is a failed socioeconomic system.

Tell me one thing in this 10 minute clip that had ANYTHING to do with Communism.

  • What has this lecture got to do with communism, socialism or leftist philosophy?

  • It is the EXACT same thing you would hear in a soviet/Chi-com re-education camp!!! The only thing missing is the beatings!
