  • G0f3rfighter it was just the way I used to do it then. I've changed up since. I was nervous that day lol

  • looks rushed

  • Good form Jess

  • MUY BIEN LA FORMA AMIGO, PERO LE FALTA MAS SENTIMIENTO EN SU CARA EN LOS MOVIMIENTOS SE VE ALGO SECO, Y ESE GRITO DE ¨OAA¨ ESTA ALGO FLOJO SE NECESITA SACARLO DESDE EL ESTOMAGO FUERTE...

PERO SI ESTA MUY BIEN LA FORMA

  • I don't need to proofs anything to you. You no like you no watch!

  • more strengt, dude

hun gar is a very powerfull technic, and i can't see it here

if you can do it better, gimme some proofes

  • This was a few years ago I'm better now. But I know what you mean thank you for the advice.

  • The move, stance, strength, speed is still need to be improved. see my Shi Fu Lam Chun Fai 's demonstration in youtube. you will see what I mean. I learned 8 years in Hung Gar from him.

  • Thank you.

  • good job man!

  • @blackboy yeah that'd be cool. Lookin foward to it.

  • So far I know; gung gi, tiger crane, heart penetration, lau gar kuen, 5 elements, butterfly palm, 5animals, 9 poison strike, white crane, tiger crane 2 man set, 9 star wooden dummy set and iron wire. That's just my Hung gar empty hand sets.

  • @esshung i know lau's fist ,tiger crane, 5 tiger descend on the west river (hung kyun),36 form, short double ten, shaolin shane kwon elementary...i'm leaning the harder hung ga forms now like tiger and eye, iron wire, soon i lean black tiger form....all lam cho's lineage teach's is traditional hung gar and hung kyun is all fighting forms it the next level up from regular hung ga...so i still have alot to learn...when i'm ya area we should meet and share forms

  • @TheBlackboy61588 .all lam cho's lineage teach's is traditional hung gar and hung kyun is all fighting forms it the next level up from regular hung ga..

  • He also knows different versions of the traditional forms to which is kinda funny cause he taught his old students the traditional forms then he taught us these newer versions.

  • No I learned the two seperate 5 animal form and 5element form. I've never heard of the 36 form. My teacher doesn't teach traditional Hung gar. He also teaches fu jow pai and northern shaolin.

  • Please check out my butterfly palm video, way better performance than the tiger crane form.

  • @esshung i did i saw it you seemed to get into it more then the tiger crane....my best form is five tigers descend on the west river witch is hung kyun but i get into it more mentally than my other forms but i'm working on the other ones.......do you know short double ten form and 36 form?

  • Supposedly tang fong never changed a thing yet both schools are completely different. We must add to the system to keep it alive if not we'd all fight like 18th century warriors. So you know I have a couple of mistakes in that form cause I was nervous as hell that day. Lol. But oh well, I never claimed to be a master I was just a junior red sash then(blackbelt) my Hung Ga has improved since then. Lol

  • @esshung ok thanks for explaining i still got so much to learn....when i'm in that area i'd like ta see your school

  • @thank you for understanding, I appologize for being that way just that people pies me off lately. But if you watch YouTube you will notice same lineage or not everyones form is a little different. Cause a true master will add or change things for the time period or possibly the environment small school ect. As long as the techniques remain the same the pattern in which they are done doesn't really matter. If you look at yees Hung Ga vs cheungs from philly, they are both tang fong lineage which

  • Thanks, that's cool I always liked drunken style. Jackie Chan does some of the best I've seen.

  • @blackboy you were the one loling at my form. I've had so many people trash my form but what they don't understand is that the techniques are still in the form and the patern doesn't matter. If you were truely not trashing my form then I appologize, I would rather make friends than enemies. If you still want to fight I understand. My school is in runnemede, nj on clementsbridge rd.

  • @esshung i put the "lol" there not to mock you it was actually there lighten it up... sorry i was not laughing at you...i tend to put lol after most thing i type out of habit....i'm not disrespectful and you being a sifu i have no place too talk down your form...i just asked caz lam cho is lam sai wing's adopted son so it just made me wonder why it was different i'm just on a search for knowledge ....i do not wish ta fight i much rather make friends as well....just some advise stay humble

  • @esshung and do let these haters get to you...you should thank them and wish them well...you at a different level so set the example for your students that what comes with that red sash my sifu reminds me all the time...lol they just wanna be where you at and if they above where you at and they not trying to help they need to check them selfs....i'm about three month from having my own school...the video you saw was just to show the different parts...i'm alot better than that. have a good day

  • @ the black boy who cares my form is different. It was changed to fit the environment that it was taught in. My sifu is rommie revell and his sifus were Carl albright and Anthony lau from nyc. Why don't you come down to my school and fight then. I'll be glad to see who's Hung Ga is better. All these kungfu guys always talkin shit on eachother and most of us can't back it up. But bring it to my school and ill prove to anyone I can back it up!

  • @esshung asshole ill take you up on that i'll be in nyc next year to fight anyways i'll make you eat those words...i was asking who taught cuz im trying to learn who all teaches hung gar and why there are so meny different hung gar styles...it was an invite to share information but you got such a big mouth i'll teach to you respect and i don't talk shit email your the place and how to get there i'll email you the dates i'll be there and where i'll be we ganna make this happen i hate assholes

  • i am lam cho's lineage our tiger crane is different....and no disrespect but you strung the hands of the first part together that why i ask who taught you....caz it looks so different from our tiger crane...and i'm not all talk either i'll show my form and i fight lol

  • Stonpier lets see your tiger crane form, or can you fight? Otherwise shut the fuck up!

  • is noobbbb

  • i love this...very nice...incredible stances...tracys kenpo does this...not as good as this though...great

  • Thank you for the compliment. Ive seen the kenpo form from these guys and not sure what it is. Deffinetly not hung gar though. Totaly different form. @RonSchinners

  • looks like a combination of Kung Gee Fuk Fu Kuen that is added into the Fu Hok Sheung Ying Kuen.

  • Super. Thanks for posting.

  • I was there! I remember this...I was part of another demo w/ the broadswords wearing all silks =D

  • It was a great day, Shame I was still hobbling around from recent knee surgery. could hardly stand anymore than a few minutes at a time. Come a long way though but I still have a long was to go.

  • Nice.

  • Someone else said the same thing. This form seemed to be a mixture of Gung ji, and Fu Hok (seang ying kun). I am wondering what his school's Gung ji looks like. Good job, the injury affects the energy content of the effort but it looked good, just different from what I know.

  • @iknewmikewell thank you for the compliment. yes i do spar a lot. im not by any means saying im great but for my size 5' 8'' 155p. i can hold my own. i just dont know why if my form is so different people sy its wrong. dont judge the form judge me doing the form. i never said in my write up that i was great. i know i still need lots of practice. thank you again for not being like the rest of the peolpe on here.

  • It's called Fu Hok Seurng Ying Kuen. Anyway, I would love to check out your school. I'm part of the Wan Chi Ming Hung Gar Institute in NYC. We are also Lam Sai Wing lineage. I understand your elbow problem, but try and bend lower into your stances. Also, learn to twist your hip more. Hung Gar is well known for its low stances.

  • @ChessWCM888 if you want to check out my school please do. im open friday from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, and sunday 3pm to 5pm. my adress is 3747 church rd. mt. laurel new jersey. in princton place plaza. master keiths wing chun school. also ive been using my new cell to post videos so those will be popping up soon on my page.

  • @esshung Thanks. Same here. Next time your in NYC check out my school at 65 East Broadway, 5th floor. we are the Wan Chi Ming Hung Gar Institute.

  • @esshung Thanks. Same here. Next time your in NYC check out my school at 65 East Broadway, 5th floor. we are the Wan Chi Ming Hung Gar Institute. We are open from 11am to about 1-1:30pm on Sundays and sometimes on Fridays from 8pm to 10pm.

  • kung fu has lost its effectiveness in a real fight. i have seen it time and time again. its not the style, its the people that practice it. they dont apply it to a real fight. it has been boiled down to pretty moves that can be used in a real fight. it was once very effective in a real fight. thats no longer the case.

  • Part 3

Kung Fu is very hard to learn correctly, and Shoulin Southern Kung Fu is famous for it's strong stance, foot work, and fantastic hand techniques. You may have herd of the term southern fist northern kicks - Hung Ga is southern, strong powerful, soft and hard. Practice, practice, practice.....

  • @netmasterx i suppose everyone has they're own opinion. also in my write up i said i have an elbow injury so i could not put too much power into it. when something hurts like that your only thinking about that so its hard to move cause your mind plays tricks on you. not an excuse just saying how it is. when i get more videos on here then you can compare the other forms. ive never said i was great and my kung fu has changed alot in the last couple years so well see. thank you for your advice.

  • Part 2

This is a famous Southern Shoulin form - you should always try to give it the respect and perfection it deserves. You need to show the hard and soft in the form, honestly your form was not good no matter what version. Practice your training form more; if you are true Hung practitioner it should be Gung Gi Fuk Fu Kuen - you need to build up your breathing and energy.

  • I watched your form over and over again; you perform your form as if you just learned it. I see many problems with your form. However my main issue with your form is emotional content, strength, precision, and the spirit of the two animals your performing. I can see in your body movements your thinking to much about your moves looks like you recently learned the form and you have not figured out many details. You need to practice this form at least one thousand times and examine each move.

  • No power.

  • *LOL* I can see my reflection in the mirror sitting in the chair in the far right corner. I think a month after my knee surgery.

  • Nice Stances, Though i would have liked to see more energy, like power.

  • O Kati é legal, só está meio sem força.

  • So proud of you Jess!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That's my baby brother!!!!!! So proud of him!!!

  • Hi, I am not expert on any style of kung fu but i have some experience in it, and also i am 3rd dan karate. Besides all else which I won't comment on (the form seems well done), are you sure your eyes must always follow hand movements? That seemed quite odd. Whetever I do, any form or technique, my eyes are on the opponent's chest level.

  • @argomax1

You thought this form was good? Very interesting.

  • @netmasterx

well, good is a big word. I said "well done", meaning, correct sequence and decent scholarship. however, like i pointed out, and someone else did too, there is no power, no martiality, and eye movements in my exp. are wrong.

  • dont take this the wrong way...im not a expert or anything ...but when i see others doing this they seem to be using a lot more umph and doing

Isometric's more then a dance.seems to me to build strength more so then a set series movements in most those style forms granted there are movements but the idea behind them is power.

  • @Mummification666 the power that you see other people doing is 1of2 things. 1 the result of doing the form properly, or 2 they're doing it wrong. i say this because alot of people mistakenly use too much force in the "isometric" movements, which while it does increase strength, if done incorrectly it decreases speed. when we are doing the form and NOT using full power, itll seem effortless because we are relaxing our body, the muscles arent doing the work so much as the energy flowing through.

  • Sorry, my english isn't very well. Could you explain better, also, write again but in other words? I don't understood your comments.

    Search for AccoHung. Thanks

  • Have to say I agree with Yipsforfun, there isn't only things missing, but even parts look like they are mistaken: Starting: the opening to horsestance, while starting the 3 block. The 3 block usually get do in a hourglass stance and then move to horsestance. Feels like the essence of build up is missed in this form, but perhaps it is deliberate.

  • I'm not here to judge, but I do find it interesting how this seems like a watered down version of Grandmaster Choi Chi Ling's Hung Ga 10 section Tiger Crane form. I see massive sections missing from the sequence, and things like uppercuts and essential hip movements were eliminated and replaced with... pointless hand circles? I don't know, I just don't see this as developing half as many attributes of worth as the grandmaster system does...

But I'm obviously bound to tradition.

  • That was pretty good. Great form and stepping. Your elbow must of really been bothering ya with the punches and what not.

  • that was gung gee and fu hok mixed together. Less than half of each form. still pretty good. could show a bit more power & enthusiasm.

  • speak english please. do not understand

  • I agree, but I think you misunderstood my post, my friend. I realize that bending over too much is one of my mistakes that I am working on fixing. I was commenting on the other comments for THIS clip, where the general discussion was about the different versions of the Tiger Crane set.

My point was, that if the schools had one base Kung Gee, say Lam Sai Wing for instance, a student from France visiting relatives in Spain could jump right into a class there and keep up with the others.

  • oh ok. i see where your comming from. i think alot was changed due to the times but also cause there was alot of bull shitters too. so in order to keep track of who learned from who, masters either removed, added or changed some movements.

  • I mean no disrespect, quite the opposite, I have a lot of respect for your skill. But, I feel that the forms should be kept alive without changes. Times change, but some things should be 'sacred' if you will. Now, I have no problem with creating new forms, or altering the base form, as long as it is understood that the 'new' form is a separate entity. The reason for this is both respect for the creator, and ease of students. For instance, if I was to take my rather poor KGFF to a school for -

  • corrections and advice, if that school uses a very different KGFF I'd be left with major schizophrenia trying to fit new bits into my base KGFF.

    Just some thoughts.

    V.

  • oh no im not telling you to change your form, im just saying dont lean over so much cause if you do that in a fight then you will be pulled forward off your balance or possibly thrown.

  • sometimes the form is changed to specialize on a particular area

  • Nice form. As someone who trains in CLF is is great to see how the two styles are similar and where they differ.

  • thank you for the compliment. there is more to come.

  • Stances are nice and deep, wide and long.

  • its great to see a guy that knows his stuff .

  • thank you sir. i still have alot to learn though. haha.

  • yeah im not sure why that part is so different from everyone elses.

  • most of it is by the book i believe the ten tigers portion was elaborated on ( curious to know if this may have been why you didnt end up where you started)

  • ur forms are good... gotta have haters to be the best!!

  • hey man thanks for the compliment.

  • do not change anything, Hung gar and any other kunG fu should not be modified, over many years meaning is lost and teaching of the truth is falsified.

  • this is not true everyone must adapt or your gung fu will be lost. everyone changes thier gung fu including lam sai wing. are you going to say he was wrong too?

  • I just believe that Kung Fu should be be preverved however I study Southern mantis, which is a blend of hung gar n chow gar. And im not saying that Lam Sai Wing is wrong at all

  • How do you think Hung Gar was created Hung Hei Gwan Took Lohan and The Shaolin Tiger Style he learned and Fused them together, From our Lineage he also created the Tiger/Crane Form from taking his Wife's White Crane and Gee Sim's Tiger and put them together. Wong Fei Hung created the Five Animals/Five Elements form for Hung Gar. So to Say that we as students shouldn't help our art evolve is to go against our ancestors. I mean Hell I'm working on Creating my own System Called Sup Ying Sup Fa Kuen

  • hey man thanks, at least someone knows what im talkin about.

  • thats good. hard to find a sifu like that these days

  • he's not anyone famous he likes to keep his name on the downlow cuz he also came out from shoalin when he was younger...hes only around his 40's but hes a great sifu im pretty sure its hard to find a sifu like him now a days cuz i usually go to his house and he te4achesbut not only does he teach us forms he also teaches us how to train, talks to us about buddhism, cooks food for us and does alot more hes a great sifu

  • umm im just taking a shot here like not trying to judge or anything i understand the fact that through out the times and people the forms change but like im actually learning hung gar in canada from a actual lam sai wing's students's son and like i find my kind is also different but also really tradition and i guess i like the traditional way more, although my sifu did tell me i could change a little something if i felt more comfortable... i liked the traditional way better

  • and i respect what you have to say. unfortunatley i cant train under someone who learned from lam sai wing. my sifu and the sifu's that came before him all changed their gung fu. my sifu told me he changed his cause the way he taught his senior students wouldnt work as good.and as far as im conserned its true. example my sifu taught this guy in my class for about 20 yrs. he was a great fighter, good at forms but when us new guys came around my teacher started teaching

  • us diferently, we started woopin this dudes ass cause alot of his techniques were outdated. so who is your sifu and how old is he nammer?

  • get confused, it seems that there are 25 different ways to move from move 3 to 4 lets say. The more the people practise it, the more lineages of one style there will be i think, sorry if i offended you mister :)

  • like i said i come from lam sai wing. everybody's style changes due to certain people mastering the system. then they add or change what makes sense or works for them. we must change with the times or the style will be obselete. just as lam sai wing did. he changed the style and also added alot to it. so must everyone else but only if it works! im not mad.i can see your not trying to be disrespectful. i just dont like being told about what i know or where i come from...cheng

  • Some say its a secret to understand hung, even Lam Sei Wing said so, but what i see alot, is people copy the style from some one who is on you tube, or do the moves by the book, with out reading it. I even have diffuculties understanding it, and i know there are family styles, i have the book, try the moves, tought how do others do it, and afcourse you get fast on you tube, but then i

  • This is not lam sei wings lineage at all, how can you say such a thing ?

To many people change the original form, to make something for them selfs and leave its original meaning, i havent seen a form that matches the book yet, for tiger and crane, and also Gung Gee Fook Fu Kuen, Or, maybe there are different books of the same one.

I know people mean well, and have a positive intention

  • i just gave my lineage what are you talking about. it is lam sai wings form. we have the poster of his tiger crane form in our class. not exactly the same but about 90 percent of it. also you could ask bedstysifu on youtube thats my sifu's teacher.not all the forms are the same everyones form is different on youtube and who the hell are you to tell me where my form comes from!

  • this is lam sai wings lineage. a student of wong fei hung.from what my sifu told me its wong fei hung, lam sai wing, lam jo, bucksam kong, carl albright then my sifu rommie revell.

  • what lineage do you belong to? i've never seen this version before.

  • Your movements are flawless; where is the intent?

  • what do you mean by intent?

  • Looking good Jess. Reminds me of Rommie. Cheng

  • thanks sifu for the compliment. hopefully i will have more posted soon.

  • awesome vid,keep them coming

  • now THAT brought back some memories!! I learned this form from Master Redmond many, many years ago.(before I started training wing chun).and I gotta tell ya, my form was NEVER as good as what I've just seen.keep up the good work!!all the best to you and yours..Si-Fu Rahsun.

  • oh wow' thank you so much for the compliment

  • good exibition :)

  • thank you for the compliment

  • please tell me if you see anything need fixin. maybe just me but my flow or somthings off.

  • oh no this is hung gar tiger and crane form sorry. lol.

  • I was going to say something about that but since I'm no expert at Hung Gar either... I'm glad it's not just me. LOL.

  • Though no expert on Wing Chun, I do love Wing Chun. Very exacting and clear execution!

  • I think shaolin is sweetest for a woman, hung gar is fantastic but more aggressive (for me)

  • @LullyLouz...Huh?! SHaolin is the hardest external kung fu I know of, and not at all ideal for a woman. Most kung fu stylists would concur on this. And that has its pros and cons, of course. Maybe you were talking about Wing Chun. If so, I agree. Designed by a small Buddhist nun and close-range with speedy punching and "cheap" / low blows as key componenets, Wing Chun is ideal for women and the small framed in general, but also has great close-range fighting for any size person.

  • I try hung gar and shaolin kung fu, personal experience :)

  • Yeah, I don't think you tried temple Shaolin, then...nobody who has has ever said that Shaolin was "for a woman".

  • the limitation is the language, I can't explain exactly what I mean! The kind of shaolin I do it's a little different maybe, for me is perfect :)

  • I see. Sorry. Well, there is a lot more soft and circular and internal movement in Shaolin than in the more popular styles, I'll give you that. I know that Shaolin longfist (part dance, part display martial art) is definitely a doable sport for women. Women are some of the best wushu artists.

  • my style is chang dsu yao and is not like that of the temple I suppose....are very soft the movements :)

thanks for the compliment about women :D
