Lol. This game is supposed to trick people into thinking it's a "lost" nes title but the game play makes it so obvious that this was made more recently. The game actually explains stuff for you. No nes game I know of ever had explanations. You just move until you get to the next area and figure shit out as you go along. A real nes game wouldn't tell you now you have to look for 5 journals or bother to explain how to double jump or open certain doors or point out that you have 2x rate of fire.
@anottakenusername Er, it was not trying to trick anyone. it is merely a tribute to retro titles. You make much more out of it then it is. Retro gaming is big these days, so companies are getting in on the retro style but they are not attempting to "fool" anyone.

I would've definatly played this, had it ever been a real NES-game. But just to think of all the special chips they would've had to put in the cartridge to make this game work is mindblowing. Its even worse than the chip they said that they developed for the Hellraiser-game!

Yes it's a PC game as well as ipod and DSi download etc but they have created a whole back story marketing it as an original yet unreleased game from the NES era and the new game coming out as the up to date sequel, it is just marketing from Capcom cashing in on the resurgence and popularity of retro/classic gaming.
@MaximumRD Exactly! This game, as well as Mega Man 9 & 10 are pretended to be "lost nes titles". There's another game coming out on WiiWare that follows that same gimic, and it's called Retro City Rampage. It's basically what Grand Theft Auto would be like if it was on the Nintendo. lol
@MaximumRD I can see Senile Team doing a game like this one, though, for the Sega CD, you know like Sonic Retro Mega Mix (great game). Or even the jaguar CD!! There's an idea, lol.

@TimeSpliTT LOL. Bit refers to the amount of bits it can process, 12 bit does not exist... haha. It's 8 bit with an improved color scheme.
