why these songs never lose the popularity not just among mass of people but individual fans like me who was introduced to these songs way after they were shown in theaters but from the elders whistles or rough voices or in cassettes when they were first taped in the early 70s. this is so heart touching i cannot explain. simply beautiful. the sense of sadness, joy, helplessness, despondent, love - all mixed up in bowl of life, simple side of it. more i hear, more i feel comforted. long live......

Barsaat one of the best directed and well acclaimed films of yester years.The story ,the songs,and acting was superb.Nimmi is one of the unlucky persons who never got what was due to her.Coming from a very humble background with no formal training or education she was a born actor as you could see from her expressions for the words of Hasrat sung so melodiously by Lata."Barsat mein milengey " had become the catchphrase of youngsters those days.Nimmi made this tune memorable."Deedar", her best!
