@ks29earl, somalia is a third world country. No one is denying that. But the point is they are doing better then what they were under the government and compared to other African nations. Technically the anarchy period ended in 2006, I don't know how they are doing now. I'm sure it's a hellhole, all I'm saying is that it is a good example of what can be done without a state and how people can solve problems by themselves, even if it's not perfect.

Not only that, but they have a generally, if only slightly, BETTER condition in which to live. Nobody is saying anarchy is utopian. Somalia wasn't going to turn into fields of butterflies when govt collapsed. The point is it has improved, and to say "but people still die, therefore they need govt" is to say lets go BACK to the system where more people died!
