man i love Harris... i wish he was alive now so i could watch him on TV in interviews and stuff... i feel like i know him... hes just great. I was 13 when he died and about 16 when i watched him in the Count of Monte Cristo one of his last films but you can be dam sure im watching every single film hes been in. His name makes me proud to say that i have Irish blood in me, ill see you in the next life Harris and we'll have a vodka and tonic together my friend. RIP
Harris was an impressive actor. But he was not the first choice for the role of "the Bull" in The Field. That honour fell to Ray McAnally (who had starred in the stage version of the play of "The Field" ). Eamon Keane (John B's brother, acted the role of the Bird O'Donnell on the opening night of the play). Sadly, McAnally died of a heart attack before filming began in Leenaun. Harris replaced him. And Eamon Keane, also suffering a heart condition, only played a minor role in the film.
Thank you for that. I did hear that Harris stepped in at the last minute and he was offered a role in the film but not the main role but he wanted the main role or nothing and so they decided to give it to him and what a brilliant job he did with this.
thats the biggest Shilalie i ever seen, u should never argue with an attitude adjuster like this, the shilalie always wins, great film, but not a fairy tale ending, gritty and real, Harris is great in this may he RIP + be partying up there on a cloud

Did Harris get any awards for this role? His performance was excellent.

Great film. I have the soundtrack and the music used for this trailer is not on it.
Does anybody know the music that they used for this trailer? It may have been from another film?
