  • congrats thats awesome

  • Awesome ... Your the Man,dude.

    Keep "Livin' Outdoors"!

  • whats mount everest?

  • @BazzaRoberts1 Hey wonderful accomplishment to cherish your whole life! I have 2 questions: Did you go through a guide service from the states or how did you set up your trip? And what kind of temperatures did you hit as a low for the last 2000 meters? Thanks. Keep up the awesome adventures.

  • Wow what you have achieved is amazing well done to you, i wish to one day do this

  • We watched a ton of videos today about climbing Mt Everest and they scared me so much I couldn't even watch them..the crevices were so deep that they scared me to death. I may think anyone that climbs is insane, but I also have a huge respect for them and think it's amazing.

  • I'm always amazed that people who haven't been to Everest and clearly know nothing about high altitude medicine feel qualified to comment! And the word is "too", not to. You need to go back to school to learn about how red blood cells behave at altitude!

  • No u have it wrong... There are 6 campsites up the mountain and it took 6 hours to get to the summit from the 6th camp. They say that you must leave campsite 6 to the summit and back in less than 18 hours or else you will most likely die because of H.A.P.E. All in all, it takes about 2 weeks of steady climbing to reach the summit of Everest. It you climb to fast your red blood cells will clot together and you will die. If you climb to slow, you will get frostbite, H.A.P.E., and will most likely

  • On-top of the world!! AWESOME!!!!! I can't believe someone would come on hear and say that's fake... lol... it's only obvious it's not.... Much respect man...

  • bro didnt sound too confident about getting back down...thats when people die (exhuastion). hope he made it! GLUCK

  • So how much money can one expect to spend on the climbing gear, sherpa guide, etc.? Well Done!

  • @rdhr151 it can be anywhere from 20 to 60 thousand

  • Nice work Baz. Thanks for the words from the top.

  • in only 6 hours??

  • nice congrats man

  • why would this be a fake? congrats on getting to the top!

  • An obvious fake :-(

  • jeeez! i can see why your so pissed off with what people have said on here bazz, you achieved something amazing man! dont let anyone take that away from you!! well done, hope i can get there one day. . . happy climbing and mountaineering!! stay safe

  • i envy u :(

  • goood job mate! Haters gon hate. think of it this way, you've been to Everest while these pricks have been on youtube trolling :)

  • very niceeeeeeeeeee

  • Well done man!!! My dream is to reach the summit of Everest one day.

  • Can't wait to save up before I can climb Mount Everest. $75,000 to $125,000 to climb the mountain. I will need to take a second job to climb the mountain.

  • People that lie about climbing everest are idiots and nobody cares about you. Don't bullshit on here you haven't a clue what it's like

  • @joemojoemo1 hey joe - get your head our your arse. it's the real thing mate. shame that sad pricks like you just sit in front of a computer all day so you can't possible relate to what it takes to climb Everest - or do anything interesting for that matter. Baz

  • @BazzaRoberts1 i wasn't referring to the video you dumb fuck, i was referring to some comments people make on youtube about climbing it when they clearly haven't. Now go wank over this comment you sad prick

  • @BazzaRoberts1 Hello Mr. Roberts, I enjoyed watching your video. Very inspirational. How long did you train for? And, do you know approximately how much money you spent from the beginning to train, purchase equipment etc...? Thanks

  • Wow I'm might go to everest I don't know when but I plan to do the seven summits

  • i wonder what it feels like to breathe in "thin air." does it pretty much feel like ur only breathing in like a pinch of air? im interested........

  • Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz boring

  • Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz boring

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • @Tony63909 hey tony - wake up man. see the reflection of the curvature of the earth in my goggles - you can't fake that - and a sherpa held the camera for me. It's sad that people like you can only surf the net to try and find fault with other people's awesome accomplishments. Baz

  • @BazzaRoberts1 My criticism should have been about how this event was filmed as opposed to questioning whether the feat of climbing Everest was accomplished. When you climb Mount Olympus on Mars, try and not forget to take film of the panorama and not just a close- up of you talking about how it took you since "1:30 in the morning" to scale over 29,000 feet. If I am wrong though, I'm sorry!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @BazzaRoberts1 I love how people are so ignorant, you were wearing an oxygen mask so it is pretty obvious that you were in the death zone and indeed, at the summit of Mount Everest.

But people, who would never pay $25,000 to ever go on an expedition, wouldn't know this.

Being on top of the world seems like the greatest achievement. :D

  • i bet i am higher right now then he was thumbs up if u agree

  • for the people who didn't know the higher you go the less air or Oxygen there is, just a friendly FYI to those who didn't know

  • @HuascarT99 IN the atmosphere isnt ON earth. i dont care how many hairs you split, you're wrong.

there was not a single person STANDING ON TERRA FIRMA that was higher.

  • @HuascarT99 then they wouldnt be ON earth. idiot

  • WOW AMAZING!

If you look at the reflection of his eyeglasses you can see the freaken Globe!

  • this is fuckin' amazing moment that being at the top of the World!!!

  • his lips are freezing as this videos being recorded

  • seguro se te congelo la trompa amigo!!!

  • @greene0230 No i didn't do it but i know mondinell, blanc and enzio that climbed it without oxygen last year and their confirmed me that be at 8000 mt without oxygen is a thing but using oxygen at 8000 it's the same to be at 6000 mt so not higher than camp1!!!

  • Too easy with oxygen...i think that someone is not able to climb Everest without oxygen he must stay at home or climb less high mountain!!!

  • @foumenlaleunna have you climbed Everest?

  • Dude you took off the Oxygen mask to convey the message. Must be hard on that height. Wow what a feeling it would be to stand on top of the world.

  • One of My Life's Goals ... I Bet Standing on the Highest Point in the World feels Pretty Exhilarating :)

  • Nice! Try also searchin' "Backcountry snowboarding in the Dolomites - Monte Pore (2405 m)"!

  • I want to get married on the top of Mt. Everest

  • i hope you got down safely man

  • the air gets thiner higher u go

  • well done u deserve the feeling that you have reached the highest point in the world

congratulations its something i want to do one day im only 15 but im climing killimanjaro next year so maybe thats a first step

  • must be hard to breathe up there

  • I would love to summit! My mom and I are going to train when I'm 2 years older or so....

  • @youdomoo Why start to train when you are two years older? Start now.

Obviously I don't know how old you are, but no matter how old there are things you can do safely. Even if you were ten years old you could read books on mountaineering and get plenty of cardiovascular exercise.

Or do you mean you ARE training and are going to attept in two years or so?

    Good luck in any case.

  • Everest is a great place for any space agency to test a spacesuit for mars, after all this is what they will do on other worlds right? i wander why they dont just develope a pressure suit for people to wear, imagine having a good ammount of oxygen and a nice warm suit with no exposed gaps! its worth the experiment.

  • @ExploreDestination now wheres the fun in that xD

  • @ExploreDestination well a pressur suit is really stiff when it's under pressure thats why it is so hard for astronauts to do their tasks in space and i'm pretty sure a stiff suit isn't the best for climbing mnt everest plus imagine the weight a pressure suit has

  • @ExploreDestination ..........you wander why ? thats why you are stuck at home with your imagination.......

  • @stinkyboy2007 oh please does this seriously have to resort to insults. I simply suggested for those who might want to try it.If you wanna go it hardcore then fine,im not trying to stop anything,im simply thinking for the future when we travel to other worlds, its not like we can go to a hostile enviroment like the moon or mars to test this stuff, so why not a place close to home like this, right here on earth?Im SO SORRY i suggested this to all of you, cant a man think aloud? geez.

  • Comment removed

  • wished i could get there

  • thats the day before my birthday

  • @Conzillla YAY! Who gives a shit!?

  • Kaner does of course realise that the summit of everest is above the height at which most commercial planes actually fly......

  • Iam so gonna climb to the top of mount everest before i die!

  • @Gram547 i hope you do it'll humble any one (im not insulting you)

  • You can talk without O2!

  • You talk like a president.

  • sweet -25 and that little wind seems to be the most perfect condition you can get. I was up in the north once and had -26C and very harsh wind. If you kept your gloves on it was all good. With the good gear you climb up a mountain like that I bet it is really ''easy''. Thank you for that great video.

  • i got higher than that on 4/20

  • Great job. 5 stars for making it back down to post that video. Ps shut up. It puts less strain on yer lungs mate. Lol. Just kidding. Everyone is proud of ya.

  • People in planes aren't "on earth" are they? Duh!

  • May I get a download for this clip? Im trying to make a trailer for a book thats based on climbing everest

  • who cares about the people in planes all they have had to do is book some ticket things.

  • dude you are awesome.

  • Wow really amazing.. but how long you could speak without oxygen mask??

  • It's a bad idea to move your oxygen mask away from your mouth when you're SO HIGH UP!

  • Good job. One of the biggest accomplishments for man.

  • Well done YOU!!!!

Wow.. thats totally amazing and such a HUGE accomplishment!!!

... and i thought climbing Ben Nevis was hard enough... haha!!!!

    x

  • My tribe (Kirat) is one of the oldest group in the world. Kirat also find references in RigVeda ~the oldest text dating back some 2000BCE--1800BCE where Kiratas fought the Aryan(Caucasoid) people. It's only after the fall of Hindu government that natives Kirat have been coming into limelight.

plz respect my ancestors and Kirateswor(lord od Kiratas) sacred place(Everest). You can learn more about Kirat tribe here at this video --> "sakela~the greatest festival of kirat people"

    thank you

  • Terrific accomplishment! I climbed Kilimanjaro and decided Everest was pure insanity for me.

  • Congratulations!!!!! I hope I get the chance to climb Everest when im older!

  • Brilliant, man...fucking brilliant. Congratulations.

  • Well done:=)

  • CONGRATULATIONS!!!

  • godd job

  • congrats! I really want to climb Mount EVerest when I am an adult

  • Good for you! never let go of the dream it will change your life son!

  • Congratulations Sir....well done....!!!

  • u bavre man well done!

  • Congrats, man, from the sound of your breathing you better put that mask back on before you pass out up there!

  • congratulations! i hope to do that someday...

  • Thank god they are installing a high speed gondola to the top of everest. Maybe when im in Tibet i'll pay the $50 lift ticket to the highest peak.

  • There is nothing on Mount Everest except the spectactualr view. There are for more important things down at sea level. People dont want you to climb your famalies they al say no you disagree you die you leave them screwed the more important things are a lot lower theres only a view up there

  • congratulations! Welcome to the highest point of the world!

  • Good Job bro. Good stuff

  • How hard is it to breathe on the summit? I'm a smoker so I'd probably have a hell of a time trying to catch oxygen.

  • I used to work on a trail crew with a heavy smoker - he used to hike up the mountain while smoking, referring to it as "high altitude training" =)

  • Haha that's hilarious. I had that same theory, but I guess someone actually put his words where his boots are. Haha. That's awesome.

  • Most people can't breathe for more than a few minutes without supplemental oxygen on the summit. About 100 people have successfully climbed Everest without supplemental Os.

As a smoker I would guess you would die before you got to the summit. Not trying to be mean or rude, but that's the truth. You would probably find it very difficult to breathe at their very first base camp at 17,000 ft. above sea level.

  • As an ex smoker, I have to agree. I've had some problems on 14ers before I quit, it's no fun feeling like every breath you take is going to be your last.

  • @jknightglfr wanting to climb everest is my number one motivation for quitting smoking

  • @jknightglfr got ur point but not true mate............smoking 2+ packs since ever..been there done that nice as a charm :)......YEAP NO o2 either hehe

  • great job man

  • honestly, the easiest route is the one most likely taken by the guy who made this video; the Southeast Ridge Route. The reason people pick that one is because there's very little technical climbing (except on the Face, the Hillary Step, and the Yellow Band/Geneva Spur, etc.), and the other routes are far more demanding, challenging, and difficult. This is, as of yet, the easiest Everest route ever discovered...but it's still hard as hell xD

  • atleast he made it up everest!

  • you're right.........and I envy that guy like you wouldn't BELIEVE.

  • @thewho97 - "this is, as of yet, the easiest route discovered"

To be honest mate, I don't think you'll ever go round the other side and find a new slope with natural ladders and steps, lololol - "shit, I can't believe we hadn't found this way - all those years we used the South Col!"

  • I love the reflection off of the gogles!!

  • i wish i was burried there

  • thats my birthday as well...I'll be there someday.

  • at that moment. there isnt a single person on earth higher than you.

what a feeling that must have been.

    thanx for sharing. 5/5

  • "at that moment. there isn't a single person on earth higher than you. what a feeling that must have been."

And then a plane flies by.

  • @NinjaLikeTeaBagger

if they are in a plane they are not ON earth, are they?

  • I knew that technicality was gonna pop out sooner or later. lol

My intent was to be humorous about the vigorous effort it takes to climb that thing... yet people paying only 400 bucks achieve the same height while drinking a bloody mary and playing on their laptops.

  • @garctown But it is human activity

  • @garctown yes there is ppl in planes dip shit !!

  • @jamesbuckton123 you mean, there "are" people in planes.

and i know that. thats why i said it...... over a month ago.

not even a good try friend. your comment does not make sense.

maybe find another vid to troll on.

  • @garctown astronauts are lol

  • @972895 read the comment.

    "on earth" ON EARTH.

    not IN SPACE. idiot.

  • @garctown yeh ok ok he made a mistake , but any idiot could of corrected him

  • @garctown What about the people in airplanes?

  • @kaner333

lol are you retarded? What part of "On earth" do you not understand?

  • @QwidgyboMan rofl

  • @garctown people in planes...

  • @garctown

    what about airplanes?

  • @45276KING Space station? I win

  • @garctown except for the people on the ISS...

  • @garctown I'm pretty sure I was higher that day. Oh yes, what a feeling that was

  • @garctown apart from a person on a plane of course. Which quite frankly Im sure is a heck of a lot more than a single one.

  • @GColiman if they are IN a plane they are not ON earth....idiot.

  • Crazy! Thats my birthday

  • the reflection in his googles is absolutely fantastic

  • hahah that is pretty epic!!

  • the permit is 25k. And good equipment cost cost you like 7k. Bottled oxygen ... Around $400 ..

And guides and sherpas ... altogether with insurance and such ... it can cost you like $150k.. Well, its not only money you're putting on the line, you're putting your life too

  • not exactly...altogether it's probably around $40,000 total.

No one apparently knows much about climbing Everest because everyone assumes you have to be some "rich tourist" to climb it.

Most people find corporate sponsorships and donations from friends, family, colleagues, etc. to fund their Everest expedition.

  • Well, my former officer actually climbed it. Well, 40k means you're going on a budget which is madness. 25K just for the permit, 45k for a guy sitting at base camp calculating your oxygen supply, ETA, weather conditions etc.. And insurance ain't cheap for dangerous stuff like these.. plus Sherpas and all ...I actually asked him about it before reply to that guy so yeah ..

  • Okay, well, that's 3x what I have ever heard for going, so my bad, seemed like way more than I have ever heard. but if that' what it is, that's what it is.

Did he happen to go with Russell Brice?

  • I don't think so..

  • I want to do that.

  • AWESOME!! SO INSPIRING!

I AM SUCH A SLOB! you INSPIRE ME!!!

  • well i know oxygen bottles are like $360

  • thin air up there u might get HAPE coughing deiseas

  • anyone a runner? it is spit you get that when you work too hard

  • the camera lens looks real cool.. does the sky really look like that? I see in high altitude pics often that there is a gradient of white to dark blue/black. looks remarkable

  • still waiting on the day man concurs the depths like he concurs mt e...i.e. challenger depth..."They touched bottom at 35,838 ft/10,923m. That means, while they were parked on the bottom in the bathyscaphe, there were almost seven miles/11km of water over their heads!" any1 any1

  • How much did you have to pay for this accomplishment?

  • I´ve been told that you have to pay about 25k

  • I've been told you have to buy your gear and get into a group.

  • You can reserve a spot with an outfitter like Alpine Ascents.... you can rent the gear, you're required to get a license from the gov't of Nepal, must have special helicopter rescue insurance, etc.... It can cost well over $75k.

  • are you serious when you ask why is his mouth white? dude its the top of mt. everest, ITS FROST.

  • why is his mouth white

  • maybe because it's COLD up there?

  • sunblock

  • way to go man!

  • I have utter respect for that kind of accomplishment!

  • CONGRATULATIONS TO BE THERE!!

  • Best thing is the reflection in his goggles. Would have made an awesome picture.

  • Great Job Baz!!! how long did it take you to get down? I hope to one day climb everest... still have another 5-10 of solid training to do...

  • Hypoxia is what makes you act drunk.

  • thats totaly awesome

  • Look at the color of the sky! :O

  • Notice how his speech is slurred...almost like he's drunk. It's one of the effects of high altitude climbing. I hope to get there one day.

  • the revelse

  • this is real awesome
