you sould have filmed the part when the cloud came over your house, the first few minutes of the storm are the most interesting with all the wind driven rain

the wall cloud was under the light grey. The shelf cloud was weak and was light grey.

I remeber the storms in August 23rd. I am in Oak Forest, and the sky was dark green and brown! :O

No tornado sirens because you are looking at the wrong part of the storm. The heavy rain behind the clouds mean you are in front of the storm, wall clouds and tornadoes form in the rear of the storm.

We had them a little later, but because a funnel was spotted about 10 miles east of us. Figures, huh? :)

well the storm that We got a few days ago DID have a wall cloud at the front- it produced a tornado just 3 miles south of me.

I have chased out near Dixon a couple of times actually. Beautiful area!

I was watching the same exact storm. I'm in Joliet and there is nothing but power lines and a corn field behind my house. It looked like it was headed right for us. Very intense. Nice footage!

yup that cloud is a wall cloud and diff a sign that a tornado is veary posible didnt see any roation though

Scary mean looking storm, was this anywhere near Joilet? ive heard they had a Tornado down there.
