just a fyi: That "4 Banger" as you refer to is a Flat-4.. The EA71, EA81, EA82s have enough tourqe and power to make it thru a mud bog btw (Seen it a million times)

I met a guy who had done this to a mustang once. He didn't want his for off roading he just found some way to put a lift kit and big tires on it for the fun of being different. It looked good but personally I think it was a sad waste of a classic car.
