i'm english but follow barbershop. probs 90's onwards as thats what available on net (im 26) but this was so funny! saw it live and pissed myself! the oc times closing eyes! brilliant. wish our singers here were as good as the us guys!
Wow, what a small world! I am from St. Joe, MO. I've been up to Maryville numerous times for district choir. You guy have an awesome program up there!
So the bass goes falsetto at the end? Does he slide up or down? I feel like the baritone probably moves down. The bass does falsetto on we've grown accustomed to 3rd place, too. Is that a thing Storm Front does a lot? I don't know much about them.
I think they're's something wrong with me - I don't find much of this funny at all even when so many of the audience are laughing - except 6:17 haha. I'm english, I think that explains it
@bevster1 Well how familiar are you with previous BHS quartet champions, and American barbershop culture in general? That could explain some things, since this whole song is mostly about poking fun at the culture and other well-known groups.
these guys sang at our spring show and for our after glow... at the glow they sang for an hour straight... they sang 4 songs... easily one of the greatest entertainment quartet ever!!
@yomega69 They were making fun of Gotcha, the 2004 quartet champions. They were known for dragging their ballads out and for having a powerful, but sometimes shouty Lead Chris Vaughn.
So awesome of you to put this video up! Darin was my high school teacher when he was in Missouri. Jim and I would drive everyy Monday from Maryville to chorus practice (Which was a laugh a mile!). And Syd and I went into Phi Mu Alpha togther. SO happy to see their hard work pay off!!!
@workitworkman It's funny you say that, because I'm the music director at Upsilon Chi and about 8 guys including myself drive to KC once a week from Maryville to go to chorus practice. We sure are proud of our Northwest Alums!
@nwmusic06 Representing the Beta Delta chapter out of Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas(Go-rillas), it's always nice to see Sinfonians getting recognition, and advancing music in America.
OAS, AAS, LLS!
Congratulations, Storm Front, for one heck of a performance to win the gold!
