Peter Sellers WAS Inspector Clouseau - it's not a character you can just play by doing a piss-poor impression of Peter Sellers playing the role.

Sellers was known for his ability to mimic voices.

And that attempt by Steve Martin is just so piss poor that it is, as other people have said here, the worst kind of insult to the memory of Peter Sellers.

The fact that they've made a second film is even worse.
