I remember a in 2008 when I went to Jamaica my second time in 10 years to visist my family I was shocked that I saw an Asian Man and what looked to be his mother or grandmother.
I agree with allianceFiLifeDotCom and ikeenaXxX. Jamaica aint no melting pot. Over 90% of Jamaicans are black so I am speaking the truth when I say that Jamaica is a black country. I know there is a hint if Indian, a hint of chinese and a tiny minority of white people there as well but If Jamaica is a melting pot then nearly every country in the world is a melting pot because every country has people who are from different races.

Please remember that being English is a nationality before it is any kind of language identity (anywhere in the world). I am proud to be a Jamaican, it doesn't really matter what colour is on your skin. If your were born and raised in Jamaica, you are Jamaican and no one can tell you, because of what you look like is what you really are. It's difficult to tell the exact amount from generation to generation. But regardless we are the same people. THE SAME DARK SKINNED PEOPLE that originated out of Africa. What I love most about Jamaica, is being Jamaican comes before race. That does not mean that Jamaican people are not sometimes prejudice. However, they will easily be checked by others. In America a person's race is more important than their nationality.

I am one of seven - 5 out of seven have light eyes, light skin, only 2 have eyes that are darker, darker skin and even then, we get mix up fi south american.
There are light skinned people all over Jamaica. My granny's family (from St Mary) are mixed and her sister's kids were blue-eyed and blonde. Nobody believed that they were my dad's first cousins.

I migrated to the US after high school and what gets to me the most is the Jamaicans up here who don't believe i am Jamaican! Jamaica is around 75% with people of African descent (mixed and non-mixed). But 90% is an over estimation. (I have been there and my family comes from there) Due to misrepresentation and misindentification it is hard to say what % is what. (Some Indians and others will say they are black when they are not) But 90% is a definate over-estimation. As a Jamaican-American that is of West African, South Asian Indian, Irish, French and Chinese descent I can assure you that.

@rimidalv47 English is NOT an ethnic group, England is home to an extremely wide variety of people of different races and ethnic identities. Please remember that being English is a nationality before it is any kind of language identity (anywhere in the world). I realise you mean differently but you should be aware that the 'English (or even British) identity' argument has been used as a tool by racists for decades against decendants of Jamaican and Pakistani immigrants (as well as many others).

St Elizabeth (a parish in Jamaica) is full of red skin, redhead blonde hair light eye people
some of dem full a freckle.
I am one of seven - 5 out of seven have light eyes, light skin, only 2 have eyes that are darker, darker skin and even then, we get mix up fi south american.

There are light skinned people all over Jamaica. My granny's family (from St Mary) are mixed and her sister's kids were blue-eyed and blonde. Nobody believed that they were my dad's first cousins.

Great video! I'm a mix-up mix-up Jamaican with just about everything (british, jewish Mom & indian, black, chiney, white etc Father). I migrated to the US after high school and what gets to me the most is the Jamaicans up here who don't believe i am Jamaican! It pisses me off when they start to ramble off questions for me to answer to prove my nationality just because i don't talk 'rah cha' patios and i don't look like the sterotypical Jamaican. Some Jamaicans themselves need to be educated!

Jamaica is over 90% African & these mixtures are a very small % of the society. We as Blacks suffer from an inferiority complex so we tend to highlight any little non-black blood that's in us. We're a mentally ill race hence our murder of and hatred towards those that look like us.

Are you speaking for everybody? Black people aren't born this way--in fact no one is. It's the values that have been thrust upon us from (old) Western culture--that being Black is being nothing. On top of that wouldn't it make you feel special to be multicultural? We are not a mentally ill race--I can't beleive you'd suggest that.

I think all humans are mentally ill to a certain extent. Look at the middle east, the federal reserve, wall street, washington, the state of Israel. Washington is forced to take billions of US tax dollars and send them to Israel which welfare state so they can have the 4th strongest army in the world. And before WW2 the middle east was fine, everyone was getting along and the Egypt liked the USA. And we stay brainwashed from TV, radio, and media. All races suffer from greed and hate. Peace!

Jamaica is around 75% with people of African descent (mixed and non-mixed). But 90% is an over estimation. (I have been there and my family comes from there) Due to misrepresentation and misindentification it is hard to say what % is what. (Some Indians and others will say they are black when they are not) But 90% is a definate over-estimation. As a Jamaican-American that is of West African, South Asian Indian, Irish, French and Chinese descent I can assure you that.

White Jamaicans do too. Black Jamaicans are more aggressive
in their response to things which leads to murders of mostly Black Jamaicans
by the majority Black Jamaicans population, because Black Jamaicans is who they mostly encounters throughout Jamaica
