  • i love your vibrato, sounds exactly like page and BB's

  • WTF!!??

  • gilmour

  • Sounds a bit like' Tea for one' from Presence .Nice I like it .

  • Since I've been loving you

  • sir, you are a dumb ass if you think you aren't taking pieces from since iv been loving you..

  • what is the point of posting these clips? It's not teaching anything and the guitar playing is clinical and unemotional.

  • @98jsbx98 don't watch it if you dont like it. sounds pretty sick!

  • Have you ever heard Jimmy Page play? This sounds like it.

  • sound like santana.

  • Can you post the backing track for this? Thanks!

  • nice touch n nice sounds, thanks bro, keep 'em coming!!!

  • you just fooled around "since I've been loving you" ....anybody could do that

  • Someone has the case of sweaty hands

  • OMG your impros are amazing, and your sound is perfect !

(What effect do you use ?)

  • what scales are these based off of?

  • @draccanon minor pentatonic and melodic minor

  • JAJA SINCE I VE LOVING YOU EXCERCISES!!!

  • Nice Feel, bro, - i like your style !

  • @MrSnoop2a That's not Floyd but SInce i've been loving you, but in this style i understand you call it pink floyd

  • OH COME ON

the reason you think it sounds cool is because it is like a toned down rip of Since i"ve Been Loving you

  • man, you are in the same key as Since I've been loving you, and and and and

  • sounds like slash

  • Sounds great but MrSnoopy2a is right this sounds like a gilmour type of thing but it still sounds kickass that's all that matters

  • I hear Gilmour, Santana, and even Clapton, but I do not hear Page.

  • it sounds like something between David Glmour and Jimmy Page but its greeeat :)

  • like SANTANA TOO

  • all the idiots that say nothing like jimmy page obviously don't have his solos ingrained in your fucking mind i can hear multiple licks where they sound like they came straight from a transcription of one of jimmys solos. EXAMPLE: 0:33

  • Te basaste en Since I've Been Loving You???

  • Just because jimmy is a guitar player who is almost impossible to imitate.

  • Tabs?!?!?!

  • Lol you are basically playing things from "shine on you crazy diamond" from pink floyd...not original at all.. and NOTHING like jimmy page...but nice try :)

  • not so Page-ish, but not bad either! your playing's nice dude.

  • sounds more pink floydish - page was much more pure bluesy than progressive like this

  • what scales are you using?

  • @spartacus1125 hes using c minor pent and diatonic some of the licks are also from the c minor arpeggio

  • I love that tone

    what is that guitar?

  • the licks are from tea for one

  • the hammer ons sound great man.

  • use you goddamn pinky. Not using your pinky when you playing guitar is like walking without using your left foot.

  • @guitarist0201 Michael Schenker never used his pinky.

  • @stfUtube and Jimmy Page,Angus Young, Slash, and kirk hammett do

  • @guitarist0201 eric clapton is not using his pinky as well when he plays... watch him closely...

  • @3grhappy hmmmmm that may just be one of the reasons Jimmy Page is better.........

  • @guitarist0201 you can criticise his technique when you come up with a video as flawless as this.

  • @lespaul457 these videos aren't that great. He's just covering jimmy page solos and putting a twist on em. I just watched No Quarter live at earls court in '75 and that blew my fuckin mind way more than this.

  • @lespaul457 let's just put it this way.... How would page have played it?

  • It does sound like Page if you compare it along side of "Since I've Been Loving You" or the Chopin piece he did a few years back that is floating around youtube.

  • like santana

  • More Santana-ish then Jimmy.

  • @DylanGuitar148 I thought it sounded like a hybrid of Santana and Page. Page is more aggressive.

  • some of taht is since i've been loving you, just with a little note cahnged improv!

  • any tabs ???? its cool but not very helping.....

  • @AlexWolfking Use your ears and your eyes. That'll be helpful. Tabs bring you down a bad road.

  • @funkifyyourlife thanks for the advice i know how to play those licks all from earing =)

  • you got the skill! but, it sounds like when jimmy was playing in 1977-1979....

  • tabs. PLEASE

  • yea dude if you look at the live version from like 73 he plays all these licks in the song since i been lovin you it might not be on the studio but he deff plays this live ive heard it

  • the chord progression is pretty close to Since I've Been Lovin You, and it has the same beat and it has the same organ sound. And the playing is similar to Page, especially Ex. 2. So, I don't see why you're saying "THIS IS NOT FROM SINCE I'VE BEEN LOVIN YOU!!!"

  • nice video

  • Hey guys does anyone have the tabs from the Total Guitar mag that this is ripped from?

I used to have it but can't find it

  • ex. 2 is in fact a riff from since ive been loving you solo. sounds really good though

  • your guitar is a jamaha, but what jamaha ? i have the same guitar but what name of jamaha it is exactly?

  • hey my friend, wow this really sounds like a jimmy page solo, incredible...

mmm but i want to ask you if this song is yours, sound very good and if is your song please please let me write a song whit a little part of the song, clearly i cannot use everything only a part i think than the 1 excercise to the 3 excercise, this really like me to much, please let me use it, ok bye i hope your comment

  • this is just self indulgency, no fret markers make it difficult to copy riffs, nice guitar playing but thumbs down from a lesson point of view

  • It isn't SIBLY, though it is still from the same scale and mode. and timing... and notes... but out of sequence... Nah, it isn't sibly.

Also, the tone is anything but Page.

  • what are you using to get all that tone. what pick ups are you using

  • that is so since i've been loving you most of its just from the live version!

  • obvi its since ive been loving you...

  • Sounds more like David Gilmour to me.

  • everything, but not jimmy page.....

  • Looks easy... but its not

  • Its not sloppy enough

  • Guys, this is since i've been loving you don't you recognize it?

  • @caste0 chord progression is not the same. similar but not the same.

  • @0Oclockmusic Yeah of course, but he uses the same licks, that's why it sounds like the song.

  • EX 2 is off the chain.......smooth as hell

  • I have to agree with the others; this doesn't sound as Jimmy Page, but it was damn fine licks! Really nice tone, I have to say. Anyway, thanks for the video.

  • I'm hearing peter green and gary moore thrown in there too

  • nothing like page

  • if you can please send tabs

  • Nice licks, sweet tone. When I listen to you, I hear more of Gary Moore than Jimmy Page. But hey, nothing wrong with that.

  • too clean for jimmy page, sounds more like steve vai

  • how beautiful. what song is this? can't wait to jam to it on my future electric gat. awesome shit. keep it coming.

  • If I had a penis it would be hard. lol.

  • He's using a CRAFTER FM guitar... good choice!

  • your not playing?

  • Since I've been loving you tone

  • that tone makes me jizz every time

  • What kind of guitar you were using in the video?

  • @JeffKnight

    i think ibanez

  • Sweet!! Great feel, great sound!

  • Sounds more like Floyd

  • @MrSnoopy2a How so? Davids not a fan of the fast pentatonic licks and it doesnt really sound like his tone?

  • NOT PAGE STYLE!

  • Gary Moore much?

  • its real good..but to smooth and sterile to be called page

  • So where did this come from.... a DVD? tell us...

  • you need a bit more over drive to give it the jimmy page feel

  • Comment removed

  • why would anyone buy thopse types of guitars they look so badand boring

  • Duh your playing an improvisation over the same scale. It has to sound similar to the song. Ok, cool. Now I have to go to listen to that song.

    thanks

  • I like this. Reminds me of a guitarist magazine tutorial a few years back.

  • its to clean and proper for page

but your good and it does matter

  • sounds kinda like pink floydyish

  • Amazing !!!

You should post a cover of since ive been loving you solo with some improvisation parts.

I love your sound, what do you use ? Compression ?

  • That was an awesome demo - thanks for posting.

The sound was clean and sweet.

"Tea For One" and "Since I've Been Lovin You" are 2 great LZ blues statements.

I know you were not copying JP competely because you did not miss any notes LOL!!! Just kidding.

  • is that an ibanez?

  • I don't think these licks are particularly characteristic of Jimmy Page, apart from the repeated note at 1:35-1:36 in exercise 4. They just sound like electric blues lead. He does actually have his own licks, but these ain't them!

  • Nice playing dude! I'm glad you put it up!

  • this is not what jimmy page's tone sounds like. at all. licks are completely ripped from since i've been loving you. still a good video

  • @ksatia newb, its just the chord progression, jimmy plays alot of his solos in a minor seventh which is why this sounds like since ive been loving you, he did a great job of playing in the tone of jimmy page, who are you to disagree?

  • i need this tone. haa any ideas how i can get a sound similar to this in terms of gain etc?

  • um a fender deville or somethin in that range, maybe a compressor and a tube screamer

  • markers on the fretboard would be useful

  • not really...

  • Beautiful, What humbuckers?

  • ive got the bt:D

  • Give please tabs.

  • If you dig this

    ill return the favor !!

  • Whoever's playing they have excelent technique, and alot of it sure sounds like or was influenced by since I been lovin you

  • the first 2 sound like since ive been lovin you

  • Sick tone! What kind of guitar and amp are you using?

  • The only problem is the title. The rest is good.

  • Nice work guy, I'm now picking up those plans. You take good inspirations from Page's Since I've been loving you's plans. Perhaps you don't play like him (heavy style, all that) but nevermind, everyone has his own style. You play, I think, very well, nice sound ;) ... and there's here good plans to work.

  • Where did you get those backing tracks ,, I d like to use a set like those. Thanks in advance

  • do you have tabs for:37 - :56?

  • it also sounds like Europa i must say

  • Why do you call this Jimmy Page lessons? Theres a couple of things here Page may do but not done the way he does them. Pages brilliance lies in where he goes with what might be a standard blues riff, how he shapes it unconventionally with bends, phrasing, tone, speed, string position, and squence. This stuff while nicely done sounds like thousands of other blues players out there. Page always sounds like only Page. That's still why very few guitarists(myself included) cover him successfully.

  • im not one to comment but shut the fuck up its just a video

  • Listen Jimi...yes it's just a video but it's with a misleading title. I complimented the playing but to call it Jimmy Page exercises is simply not accurate it's standard blues licks so call it what it is and don't mislead people into checking something out by calling it something that it isn't. Dont we have enough bullshit in the world? I am a huge fan of Page and I came to this site hoping to get info on playing like Page not some standard blues riffs that's why I made the comment I did.

  • Does he do lessons on how to speak like a middle-class twerp too?

  • loved it

  • great

  • hey

can u put some tabs please

    thanx

  • why tabs? Just learn by ear.....

  • jeje you are right but its very hard by ear

  • not really....

  • agrreeeedd

  • you gotta consider the newbies bro

  • dude i have been playing for like 7 months...

  • wow, everything u can possibly say about guitar will from here on be completely disregarded by everybody...

  • tabs???

  • jimmy would be dissipointed Tabs...

  • Why say it's not suppose to be "Since I've Been Loving You" if you put it in the same key, play it at the exact same speed and take licks directly from the song?

  • yeah, thats kinda true, good point

  • i swear, same chords, same key, same rythm... to claim this work as ur own would be plagiarism

  • these all sound like something pink floyd would write

  • Same key....."English Blues"..

    Right on Brother!

  • Your text-balloon is a pain in the ass!

    Stupid noob... Nice music though.

  • yea you defintaly just changed since ive been loving you

    its still pretty good though

  • yea you defintaly just changed since ive been loving you

  • hi!!!hey can you send me the tab please????

  • since ive been lovin you

  • Totally is and why is since i been loving you playing in the background

  • since i been lovin you

  • I don't get it. A few licks.

  • U have Skills man.

  • yeah, it's obviously a rip of since i've been loving you, Cm blues, same solo run, it's pretty obvious

  • same key as since i've been loving you

  • very light strings

  • its a really light bluesy/jazzy distortion

  • what kind of disrortion do you use?

because i use a line 6 amp and

pedal but the sound is really bad

and i want to get another distortion

but im still not sure which one to get

  • very nice. would have been better on a guitar that had fret markers though

  • great job but you should put them all in one, great sound too

  • lovely sound and played very well but still dont like prs guitars as im purely a les paul man but still very good

  • sounds like santana not like page... :/

  • you got that right

  • sounds a bit like santana, but also a ton like "since i been loving you"

  • yeah right sound like santana and since i livinge you

    :D
